Please help Ryan (DJ @ Satori, Comics Conspiracy) and Leann in anyway you can. Spread this link around, Digg it, contribute any thing you can.
From Geekbox.com: "In a tragic turn of events, The Geekbox co-host Ryan Higgins’ apartment burned down today [Saturday 2/28]. While that means the podcast is definitely on-hold for the next couple weeks, the more crucial concern is that Ryan and his girlfriend lost what’s being estimated right now as the vast majority of their stuff (the good news is that everyone’s OK!).
Donate here: www.geekbox.net/archives/2...e-need-you/ Any donations you’d care to make to the site will go directly to getting Ryan back on his feet as far as living arrangements and such go."

Re: DJ Vitus needs your help
Mon, March 2, 2009 - 11:02 PMan update from Ryan (DJ Vitus):
Thanks to everyone that wrote or bulletined about my situation. If you don't know, my apartment burned down yesterday afternoon. My girlfriend Leann was burned on one of her hands, trying to put the fire out. Most of our stuff was destroyed by the fire, but we'll know more when we get to go in in the next day or two. It looks like some clothes, part of my comic collection, and possibly my DJ cd collection might have made it, but it's possible they were ruined by smoke, as the fire didn't hit one room, but lots of smoke did.
My good friend Ryan Scott has set up a PayPal donation for me and my girlfriend, which you can find here: www.geekbox.net/archive/20...e-need-you/ I'm terrible at this type of stuff, but we'll gladly accept any donation to pay for rent/security deposit for a new place, food, some furniture (we're lucky, Leann's parents have extra furniture we can have), and the basics to rebuild our lives. I promise I won't spend it on a 60" high-def tv :)
I do not expect to be at Satori this Friday, but please come out and dance for me!
