I found this article that seems to be aimed at younger men (the target audience of Askmen.com.) Any thoughts?
Pros & Cons Of Dating Older Women (Original article is here: www.askmen.com/love/vanes...ecrets.html )
By Melissa LaRicca Women's Sexuality Correspondent - Every other Tuesday
Ashton Kutcher is the man of the hour. And let's not kid ourselves here. Sure, he can act; but besides playing Kelso on That 70's Show , he hasn't done a helluva lot. So, why the sudden explosion of popularity? Two words: Demi Moore.
The fact that Master Kutcher is currently shagging the gorgeous Ms. Moore, who is much older than he, makes him the man that every man wants to be, and that every woman wants to be with.
Maybe you have recently thought about getting involved with an older woman. But before you take the proverbial plunge, read on and weigh the pros and cons of such a relationship.
The Cons
Let's start with the not-so-good news.
Bag Lady
Common sense dictates that you cannot be 40 years old and single, and not have a significant amount of baggage. Ex-boyfriends, husbands, children, ex-step-children, pending divorces, business pressures, financial obligations, and debts can often be part of the package.
You must be ready and willing to accept this reality if you are going to get romantically linked with an older woman. This is not to say that you will be asked to deal with these issues per sé ; rather you must realize that an older woman generally has more to worry about than that bushy-tailed co-ed at your dorm.
Mrs. Robinson
One cannot deny the allure of the older woman, younger man relationship. But, this relationship remains slightly taboo, unlike the other way around, where the man is much older than the woman, which is perfectly acceptable. After all, no one raised an eyebrow when Catherine Zeta-Jones married Michael Douglas.
Like it or not, by getting involved with an older woman, you are putting yourself in a situation where the moral majority -- people like your parents and boss -- will frown upon you. On the up side, you may become your buddies' hero, and they will start begging you to reveal what it's like.
In any case, people will talk. If you are secure enough in the relationship, or you actually like the attention, then, by all means, proceed.
On to the good news about being caught in a cougar's grip
The Cougar
While we're on the topic of what people will think, keep in mind that older women have been dubbed "cougars" for a reason: They hunt younger men.
In this type of relationship, the woman is often in control. Some think that a woman who dates a younger man does so because she can easily manipulate him; that the man in question will be so awestruck by her attention that he will go along with whatever she says. But that is a theory that does not necessarily apply to every situation.
The Pros
On to the good news.
Boy Toy
Often, older women are newly divorced, and looking to sow their wild oats. Getting involved with a man who isn't looking for a serious relationship and wants to have fun is the perfect solution.
Younger men have the stamina and carefree attitude to satisfy their need for a wild ride. So, if you're looking to learn a thing or two between the sheets, look no further than an older woman. After all, she's no longer sexually inhibited, knows what she wants, and probably has a few tricks up her sleeve.
She's Over It
More often than not, an older woman has faced her insecurities and fears head on, and has dealt with them to the best of her abilities. She likely has enough life experience to know what matters and what doesn't. Consequently, she's above the petty nonsense that drives you crazy about women your own age. An older woman has figured out what makes her look fat, and what looks good on her, and knows enough about male-female relationships to not bother you with feminine trivialities that usually serve to turn men off anyway.
Older women have the self-confidence that could only come from experience and the knowledge that they can handle whatever life throws their way. That is not to say that they never have a bad day, but merely that it's probably due to something more than the fact that they have a pimple and a party to go to that night.
Go For It
In the end, it's up to you to weigh the pros and cons of such a relationship and decide if it is right for you right now. Let's see, the promise of mind-blowing sex with an experienced, confident woman, without the expectation of a long-term commitment I know, it's a tough call.

Re: Article on Cougars from Askmen.com
Tue, March 11, 2008 - 4:12 PMHaving dated the older woman, 52 to my 27, I can say that this article is pretty accurate. The whole knowing what they want makes me not only drawn to older women but repulses me somewhat from the early 20s women. Sure, the younger woman might have a 'tighter' body but more often than not they both don't know what to do with it or what they want done. The other big appeal of age for me is life experience. I like to talk to people I am playing with and them having opinions is more of a turn on than them having 'perfect' tits or ass. Just my $.02 -

Tue, March 11, 2008 - 4:21 PMHmmmmmmmmmm, thank you.
Mystic, the thought of you cross-dressing just makes me kinda throw up in my mouth a little. I don't think it works for you, babe. You need to stay the macho little Mexican bulldog that you are. -

Tue, March 11, 2008 - 8:37 PMAfter I wrote that I got a little taste of bile in my mouth, too.
Some guys can do that and look pretty. Me? Well ....

Re: Article on Cougars from Askmen.com
Wed, March 12, 2008 - 6:55 AMROFL! Maybe if you lost the fringe, and went with something a little more low cut, and went red instead of blonde....ooh, baby.
My husband's definitely a manly looking man, but we shaved him and dressed him up one year for a James Bond themed party. His Bond name was Muffy Diver. If I could handle him in a purple skirt, I could probably handle you in a red dress. *smirk* -

Re: Article on Cougars from Askmen.com
Wed, March 12, 2008 - 7:44 AMThere will be no shaving of the Mystic. Besides....there just is something very wrong with the thought of him crossdressing. I believe if that happened it was start the end of the world as we know it. Would tip the balance of things.

Re: Article on Cougars from Askmen.com
Sat, March 15, 2008 - 1:06 PMThis was interesting to read. I often chat on Friday evenings and have my age in my name so there is no question about that. I get SO many IMs from young guys. I mean YOUNG..as young as 18 (or so they say). I am basically apalled at the idea of me with someone younger than my kids (although it HAS been done). I really don't see why guys in their early 20's would be attracted to a woman like me--well, especially physically. I have stretch marks and a little extra padding--these boys can have hot numbers their own age. It just never ceases to amaze me. I also just feel like I would want to mother them and I really am done with that phase of my life. I guess I'm just not acting slutty enough lately to encourage their behavior. *shrugs* I'm getting too old.

Re: Article on Cougars from Askmen.com
Wed, March 12, 2008 - 8:59 AMI read through this article and found some truth and many generalizations that may or may now apply to the particular relationship that one may delve into. When one is going through the "change " (menopause (f)and anopause (m)) it really changes ones emotional, hormonal and physical aspects. Dr. Christine Northrup talks a lot about the aging process in women, and Dr. Andrew Weil in men...as well as the spiritual transformations ones goes through. It is very complicated at best. One has to find their way in a culture that is based on youth and beauty forever.
