Re: Reducing junk mail
Sun, December 9, 2007 - 12:25 PMAlso, you cant contact your bank, cell phone company, car insurance company, credit card companies online and see if they have a "go paperless" option on the website. This prevents mail fraud AND paper waste. -

Re: Reducing junk mail
Wed, December 12, 2007 - 12:27 PMI am over run by charity junk mail - help! We are on the no junk mail list, yay!, but since I've donated to a couple of charities, there are now 2-3 mailings PER DAY asking for more charity donations/petition signings/etc. How can I make these go away? It's getting a little ridiculous....
Thanks for all suggestions!

Re: Reducing junk mail
Wed, December 12, 2007 - 1:58 PMif they have a website, perhaps you can ask them for email requests instead of mail requests. Tell them you wuld be more inclined to donate again if they stopped sending you unsolicited mail. -

Re: Reducing junk mail
Tue, June 10, 2008 - 8:29 AMOh, and if you get 3 or 4 credit offers a week like I did, you can go to equifax and opt-out of the offers. Now I only get about 2 a month.

Re: Reducing junk mail
Tue, June 10, 2008 - 3:52 AMI think it is working!!! I have not received those pesky "Resident" ads from groceries stores in a long time. Happily thankful that it worked! Totally worth the money, I would say (even though I was gifted one, I gifted one to my brother in return). -

Re: Reducing junk mail
Tue, June 10, 2008 - 5:02 PMYay! It's been working for me too. Recently I I cancelled all the catalogs and weirdness addressed to previous residents through the website. That has eliminated most everything. -
