I am learning to feel the subtleties of energy and am wondering at all the different ways I expend energy. If I spend 2 hrs a day at the gym, does that mean I don't have healing energy left? What are the different types of energy? And what are some tecniques I can use to make sure I have plenty of energy left to do the physical things I want to do as well as the Spiritual? How are different types of energy used, depleted and harnessed?
Thanks so much for helping!!

Re: Spending Energy
Tue, January 23, 2007 - 2:53 AMalways honour urself and ur heart and intuition.
Time is meaningless it aint real. As Einstein said about relativity when u sit on a hot oven, 1 second could feel like an eternity, and 10 hours of conversation and enjoying of company of a beautiful person could feel like 1 second.
Don't measure things in time. If u are doing what u love to do, interacting with people u love, not dealing with people who dont understand u, and thus deny, resist ur energy and in so doing make u feel cheap and drained. If u are doing that, be it labour of love, conversations, interaction, creations, expression, whatever, being engaged longer actually energizes u rather than takes away ur energy.
I myself cant deal with negativity. When I m dealing with a negative critical person. I get drained and fast. Energy vampires do the same thing. There are also people who wanna engage u in a fight, or want ur pity, or want ur jealousy, or some stupid other game. I avoid these human doings very actively, because a short time in their field zaps me and drains me quite a bit.
more to come later. -

Re: Spending Energy
Tue, January 23, 2007 - 3:30 PMGood information Alchemy... Is physical energy different from mental energy different from spiritual energy? A thought is part of Spirit... so really it is spiritual. So is the body but I feel like physical energy may be different than Spirit energy. If I'm drained physically can I still accomplish the things I want Spiritually? Are there different reserve banks? Just trying to wrap my head around this. Thanks for helping Alchemy!!!

Re: Spending Energy
Tue, January 23, 2007 - 5:33 PMI dont know. I cant tell u. I dont think in terms of boxes and analysis. To me energy is having the juice to do what u will.
u have been in a soccer game for 2 hours running, next u are gonna go to a spiriitual workshop for 2 hours. would that work? Probably not, u ll be too exhausted to even keep ur eyes open. Is it because ur total energy is depleted, I dont know, nor does that matter.
If i spend two hours on a computer programming problem, does that mean I wont have time to go and have a rigorous work out? On the contrary, when my mental energy is exhausted its damn fun to use my body.
Listen to ur body, listen to ur heart, heed ur intuitions, and watch the signs in the universe.
Instead of a of managing attitude trying to use our energies efficiently, like a CEO makes a company work smoothly, I believe in just going with the flow. Internal flow and external flow.
When u do what feels right, and do this all the time, u start tuning into urself so well, that u dont need any kinda of measurements.
To approach our energy like a limited quantity which should be used wisely and efficiently goes against everything I believe in. I live life in total audacity, insanity and joy. There is no predictability there, no thinking what I am gonna do for tomorrow or the next hour.
Having said that that doesnt mean u live irresponsibly, its about the delicate balance of living an audacious carefree responsible life all at the same time.

Re: Spending Energy
Tue, January 23, 2007 - 6:07 PMInterestingly enough, Alche, and Katrina, I just came back from a 2 hour Capoeira class, and I feel absolutely energized.
Physical work can *boost* my energy, level, I find, so long as I have eaten something sometime before hand, and usually had a drink.
Above all, however, respiration. Focused energetic breathing grants more energy, or prana, or chi, or whatever word works best for your reality tunnel, than anything else I have encountered.
Literally respiring. Re-filling with spirit. An inspiring activity, in which to engage before expiring. The exercise shall make you perspire as it transpires, if you really feel it.
Heh.
How about bad jokes? Energizing, or nay?
Honestly, though... I find using your energy can give it more oomph than anything else. We need far less sleep than we have accustomed ourselves with, as with food, and noise, etc. etc. etc. Get the body going, and keep a constant flow of powerful life force flowing through - really *through* it, try to breath through any and all blockages, and I guarentee the work out will pay off far better than every before. -

Re: Spending Energy
Tue, January 23, 2007 - 9:39 PMSing,
I am a triathlete and I find that I feel physically tired when I'm finished but something else takes place. It's like I worked out all of the stagnant "stuff" that was hanging around in my body, through heavy cardio and controlled breathing. When I'm finished I'm spent but I find that I dream more vividly and I'm more open to something else that I'm usually not open to. I think heavy cardio balances me. But if I do too much, every day type stuff, then I'm drained and feel impatient. Ahhh, the balance!!
Alchemy and Sing, I enjoyed reading what your thoughts were!! Thank you. Alchemy, I enjoy the way you choose to look at your world. Always enough of everything you need! I like that.
Love,

Re: Spending Energy
Tue, January 23, 2007 - 9:57 PMhey I wrote this screenplay, now I wouldnt give myself a bad part would I?
Also I wrote it in a way there would b pronoya and abunDANCE which means I ll have maximum pleasure, learning experience. So that my Divine experiences can expand all the time.
Sure I m here to learn lessons, but there is absolutely no point in my needing to relearn lessons, we are here to experience, learn, and sometimes suffer to learn until learn we dont have to suffer to learn. The idea is that when we do learn that lesson it becomes part of who we are, becomes like a nose on our face, inescapable.
So of course there is always plenty of what I desire..not need.. I dont need anything, nobody needs anything. I choose to have it, another language tweak. need, want will only create more need and want. choosing to have, will manifest it. Being grateful that u already have it will manifest it more powerfully. Visualizing with all ur senses that already have it, and feeling grateful, happy, joyous as if u have it in a deep way, will make miracles happen regularly. That by the way was how we used to pray, commune, with the Divine intelligence, thats before we got demoted.
I actually wrote a little about us becoming less intelligent in my every one against everyone piece that I invite u to read.

Tue, January 23, 2007 - 11:35 PMDon Juan and Carlos were my very first spiritual path. I remember it was that this brand of shamanism that really got me going so many years ago, the only thing that made sense, and the glorious concept of the Assemblage Point. I read all the Castaneda books.
My path has changed much since those days, but I will always be eternally grateful to master don juan and Carlos's superb magical exhilarating engaging writing, -

Re: Spending Energy
Wed, January 24, 2007 - 11:19 PMyea Don Juan is a Master regarding maintaining energy...
it is in the mundane details of life where we lose more energy then we think...
he was wrong about there being only one way to get energy... but in regards to the tonal/1st attention his advice is spot on...
i never did the hallucnagenic route, i meditate, and i am not endorsing it, but not bagging on it either if it is your thing....

Re: Spending Energy
Wed, January 24, 2007 - 7:08 AMKund has indeed posted what I hve just really begun integrating myself.
The Navel houses so much of our natural energy. We get our original burst of life from there - all nutrients, all oxygen, all prana, all that supports us comes from our momma via the umbilical cord and goes directly, you guessed it, into our belly button.
That Navel Chakra, and perhaps even a bit lower, has *huge* impacts on our natural vitality. Breathe into it, and feel the difference.
Maaan Don Juan... what a dude. Not the first, but certainly one of the most potent... something about his spry, tricksy, in the moment, desert chaperal adventures just totally sounds like the most amsuing lifestyle...
oooh I gotsa reread thems books... so good. So informative.
