Any Boulder hoopers want to get together some sunny day to practice in the park? I don't know many tricks, but I have lots of hoops!

Wed, January 23, 2008 - 4:11 PMHello! I just moved to Boulder from Portland, Oregon. In Portland hoopers meet at a park every sunday afternoon to hoop together and help each other learn new tricks. I am not actually sure how many Boulder hoopers there are, but if anyone is interested in trying to do something similar, let me know because I would love to start hooping with other people and spread the hooping love! -

Fri, April 4, 2008 - 2:09 PMAlright. The weather has been pretty nice... I think it should still be nice on Sunday... So, I am going to go hoop at Scott Carpenter park on 30th and Arapahoe in Boulder this Sunday, april 6th at 1:00pm, and hope you'll join me! I think I might have to start working on Sundays, but we should really try and and make a regular hoop day each week! If anyone prefers a different park, or has suggestions throw them out there, I just think we should start hooping together! On Sunday I'll bring my extra hoops, but I don't know what to do about music... Hope to see you there!

Shakti Sunfire here from the Kaivalya Hoop Dancers, a troupe of circus performers and hoop dancers primarily located in Boulder. We've been hibernating over the winter indoors at the Circus Center but as the weather warms we're itching to get back outside, where Mother Nature can support us en masse! We'll converge at the Boulder Farmer's Market - on Saturday's when we're not on the road so if there is interest, email me and we can get events posted on our website...get the crew together.
