Check out the Free Software Foundation. They have an excellent article describing the differences between Free Software and Open Source software. If you value freedom (free- as in speech, not free- as in beer) then do yourself a favor and educate yourself and inform others.

Healing Sounds

Hi Artisans,
I have discovered and been researching the world of Healing Sounds. And my, what an amazing world it is!!!! Jonathan Goldman, who runs The Sound Healers Asssociation, has recorded some AMAZING cd's and has a DVD, (which i rented from Netflix) called Healing Sounds. Its a neat Intro to the topic. I have several of his cd's and one in particular called "The Tantra of Sound Harmonizer" is simply mindboggling. This cd sycronizes the brainwaves AND aligns the charkras...at the same time! If you listen to this on headphones its even more incredible, but they arent necessary to feel the full rejuvenating effect of these harmonics and frequencies. These are sounds that have been proven to physiologically change the body and brain. I can say from experience that after i isten to this 55 minute cd that starts at the Crown Chakra and works its way down to the root Charkra and then back up to the Crown again...i feel ike a new person!!! I plan on listening to this everyday for the forseeable future. An added benefit, at least for someone like me, who doesnt have the daily mediation practice down yet, is very helpful at staying in meditATION SPACE FOR LONGER THEN I MIGHT BE ABLE TO OTHERWISE. mY HOPE IS THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO TRANSITION FROM THIS "GUIDED" MEDITATION TO SIMPLY BEING ABLE TO SIT FOR AN HOUR OR MORE IN TOTAL SILENCE. whoops! i hit the caps by mistake and dont feel like retyping it! Im not screaming! Anyway...here are some helpful links for those whop may be inyterested. I would love to hear from others who have experienced these Healing Sounds.
Peace,
Jim

Check out this cool site for free FLAC downloads of Avant Garde music. These are transfers of LP's that have never been released on CD (and probably never will). High quality transfers and lossless download with FLAC. Highly Recommended.
