A gathering place for members, friends and allies of the Burning Man camp we call Comfort & Joy. Our camp's theme is reflected in its name: any project, event or art installation that a camp member feels represents either comfort or joy is a welcome addition to the camp's offerings. Our vibrant camp attracts and produces a wide variety of activities, events and art installations.

Comfort & Joy is an art camp that hosts restorative, relaxing, and celebratory social events. We welcome all to engage their neighbors while recovering from the desert's challenging environment and stimulating culture. Beyond the art installations, we have hosted daytime yoga classes, spoken word events, a disco-themed brunch, scrabble tournaments, cocktail parties, and pedicure parties.

The Afterglow Lounge at Comfort & Joy is an enclosed, dust-free space specifically designed to be a night chill space for queers and their friends. We proudly present the downtempo DJ skills of our camp members. Afterglow also serves as an alternative venue for our daytime events in the case of dust storms or other inclement weather.
