Hi,

My name is Katie and I am looking to escape the rat race of Los Angeles, CA. I am single and miss having a community of friends to hang out with and just plain depend on or help. All of my friends are now married with their own families to worry about or they are too busy trying to make enough money to live so I never see them any more. This is why I think an intentional community would be great for me. I have visited Salt Lake and love it. I am into the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, etc. and love being close to the mountains. I also like music, art, independent movies, etc. which I have also found in Salt Lake. Please tell me more about your plan. So far I gather that you would like to buy a big lot of land and then what? Would everyone build their own house? Please let me know how it will work and what your time line is.

Thank you,
Katie

  • Hey Katie, thanks for messaging. We are in the process of finding property. Until then we are networking in order to knit together a community.

I'm renting right now while waiting for a better buyers market. I'm open to investing in a large house, twin home, four plex, etc..

I've enjoyed acting in indie films for the lat two years. Utah has a fun film industry. People have good attitudes here.

If you decide to come visit check out www.couchsurfer.com. There are a lot of good people here who will let you plant yourself on their couch while you visit.

    Cheers,

    • Thanks Steven. I am definitely interested. I am going to go out there within the next few months to stay for a couple months to see how I like it.
I was thinking your room to rent would be good but I have a small dog. I tried the couch surfer site you sent but it wasn't what you said it was.
Maybe the url was wrong. If you know of any place I can pay rent for a couple months, a place that can accommodate a 25lb dog as well, let me know. Oh yeah I also need high speed internet because I'll be working while I'm there.
