About awakening

Probably not the type of post expected, but here it goes.

There are two ways to see this (Awakening).

1) All troubles are resolved in language (psychoanalysis), and so, any claim to one own's identity is real.
2) Many here who claim their elven blood are truly what they calim to be, and so are aware of the limitations it implies and the responsability, honor and depth of connection with the norm it brings.

Should you feel closer to number one, I happily salute you and whisper Namaste! to the profound depth of yourself.
All others I freely (as it is my invitation to give) invite to æthranör as it may well bring you peace of mind and of spirit. Should you not know how to get there, simply concentrate on the sound of the name æthranör as you fall asleep, it is an Alfheim, elven home, so your spirit should find comfortably the way there.

I don't feel very comftable speaking like this but I feel real elves around here... let's see how this goes.

From my heart, to your heart
Namaste

thank you for this, I personally don't need the aide of words to achieve Alfheim, but I know that many do. As I would love to release from this mortal world and join my brothers, sisters and wife back home, there is still much for me to do in the world of men.

Thank you so much for your posts. Before I found Tribes I always felt so alone, while knowing I didn't belong here. Now, I know I'm not alone.

I, too, am here to heal and be an impish witness...sometimes in very strange settings where my dance serves to prank, then to be a subtle and calming influence for the humans and animals which they disturb... I have my own keynotes to help keep me from being too distracted by "civilization". I welcome that which works for others expressed without human words of arrogance......

I would like to hear personal stories about " Awakening". I know everyone has has a different experience, but I am curious about this particular point. Mine happen in my teens. I have only recently started to publicly acknowledge this part of my self, due to the sudden viability of more of people who can identify with this paradigm. Also, are there any that believe this to be something only those of northern European decent can be part of, given the origins of many of the mythologies that we have available today.
How do other cultures filter this experience?

Ciaran, I joined this list to add some comment to your question.

Boy, where to start. I am an Appalachian culturalist, Southern culture writer and for lack of better words, 'pagan' - my bloodline, in parts according to precentage from great to less is: English, Irish, Cherokee (my family belongs to the Eastern Band, Norwegian, Scots and Welsh.

My awakening occured over the course of a month in 1998, started in Joyce Kilmer National Forest, where I broke my leg and then came to a beautiful culmination on Hopiland at Hotevilla. In the course of my life, I've gotten to be initiated under Raymond Buckland, work for Bootsy Collins and am actual friends with Dr. Dennis McKenna, Terence McKenna's brother. Before 1998, I regretted my life, after 1998, I felt my life has gained some sense of purpose.

I don't believe that the myths of the world, especially amongst the Celtic peoples, the Northland peole and the entire Native American population, is that seperate. All cultures refer to the Nunnehi or Little People. While modern 'scholars' brush this correlation off, even a child can see the similarities in the stories. The Nunnehi, the Little People or the Faery Folk are the same group, be they spiritual, physical or both.

If the 'awakening' process taught me anything, like what Grandfather Dan and now Grandfather Martin of the Hopi, express, then it is we are all living one common story, a story of life, death & destruction and then, Universal Redemption. We can fail in this if we lose heart, but honestly, who really thinks it will end so? I don't entertain the belief otherwise that we will fail to save the Earth from the hands of the priests, princes and warmongers.

When I say 'we', I mean all of us, including the priesthood of Rome - which now seems to live in the darkness of it's own lies, deceptions and manipulations.

Humanity is not seperate, unlike other species, we can interbreed amongst each other - this is important to know. I do, however, believe that it is OK for people to maintain their cultural heritage and uniqueness of their own bloodlines. However, I am mixed and can not know for certain who is mine (which is a nice thing since it teaches me to accept the All as Mine.)

I hope this helps to provide a perspective that you can draw information from.
