Re: Where's the real women ?
Mon, April 28, 2008 - 10:39 PMI guess the new trend away from skinny hasn't gotten very far. Or is it just a gimmick? -

Re: Where's the real women ?
Wed, April 30, 2008 - 7:52 AMI don't believe that there ever *was* a trend away from skinny. I think that there was a "reaction" when a young model died issues related to anorexia a while back, but IMO, the "no models with a BMI lower than 18%" thing was just the industry pandering to the public outcry. Things like that never last. Any designer will still say that the clothes look better on a "hanger" than on an average sized human. -

Wed, April 30, 2008 - 9:53 PMThen I guess I just don't think I understand how the fashion industry works. The money path from hangers to real women is ... what? -

Re: Where's the real women ?
Thu, May 1, 2008 - 5:25 PMNot much actually...Try shopping with a real woman,,or a woman with specific needs....Try 5'7 with petite bones, no shoulders and a 32 inch inseam,,,,it is to juniors or a mighty out of this world bill for alterations...or,,,exceedingly high prices for petite tall......F*** & S***..The make one outift for those girls on the runway,,the rest is simply a crap shoot for women....I do not believe there is a woman alive who does not have an incredibly tough time shopping... -
