We've had the metrosexual, ubersexual, now it's the gastrosexuals. These men use their kitchen prowess to impress prospective partners. Think Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver....

According to the study by food company PurAsia 48 per cent of people say being able to cook makes a person more attractive to them and 23 per cent of 18-34 year old men say they cook to potentially seduce a partner.

Where else would one find a Male Unbifurcated Garment aka kilt, or MUG for short. The postmen of Boston :)

"MUGs are worn all over the world, and have been for thousands of years because they are comfortable. Unbifurcated Garments are far more comfortable and suitable to male anatomy than trousers or shorts, because they don't confine the legs or cramp the male genitals the way that trousers or shorts do." said Peterson.

FRAMINGHAM — A loud argument between two deaf women led to one of them being arrested Friday for assaulting a cop, police said.

Police arrested Theresa Maley, 39, of Holliston, at 10:15 p.m. following an argument at 201 Irving St., Deputy Police Chief Craig Davis said.

Police went to the building around 10 p.m. Inside, they found Maley, of 220 Mills St., yelling at another woman, whom police did not identify, inside one of the apartments. Both women are deaf, Davis said.

Dhoni the captain of India's one-day cricket team has been provided 15 all-female commandos, trained rigorously in warfare and ambush techniques, to protect him from his female fans, police say.

Ask one of the commandoes, Seema Toppo, about her new assignment and she blushes.
"I watched him play on television and never thought I would see him from such close quarters," she giggles.

Do's and Don't of calling in sick

• Do speak to your supervisor directly, if possible. Sending an e-mail is a tip-off of possible fakery.

• Don't attempt to fake sounding ill by using the old tricks: speaking on the phone while lying in bed or bent over the toilet. Remember, if you were an actor, you'd have a SAG card.

• Do call in as early in the day as possible to give your supervisor time to plan the day without you.

• Don't give your supervisor all the gory details of your illness, pain and suffering. It smacks of exaggeration. Make the call short and to the point.

• Do make the call yourself.

• Don't have your spouse, child or — worse — mother make the call for you unless you are hospitalized and intubated. Be a grown-up.

• Do apologize for the inconvenience to your employer.

• Don't call from a baseball game, bar, airport or other questionable venue.

• Do call in sick when you're feeling miserable, need to see a doctor, are contagious or can't think straight.

• Don't go to work looking like a walking carcass.

• Do get a doctor's note if your illness requires medical treatment and a specified length of time off.

• Don't use "feminine problems" as an excuse — especially if you're not a woman.

• Do use sunscreen if you take a sick day to go to the beach.

• Don't tell your boss you'll try to be there after lunch. It won't happen.

• Do know how your supervisor feels about employees taking sick days.

• Don't call in sick on too many Mondays or Fridays. It will damage your credibility.

To all the parent's planning a birthday party for their kid. Just make sure you've invited ALL the kids from playgroup.

A school has confiscated an 8-year-old boy's birthday party invitations after they were handed out during class because it said it had a duty to ensure against discrimination. The boy handed out invitations to classmates at his school in Lund, southern Sweden, but did not invite two boys because they were not his friends !!!

King Billy

Once a year, since 1610 Killorglin in County Kerry crowns a billy goat as King Puck. Why one wonders...

1) dating back to pagan times. Puck, as the male goat is called, is seen as a symbol of fertility for a late summer harvest festival.
2) a herd of goats, which had been grazing in the countryside nearby, were scared up by pillaging “Roundheads,” the soldiers of Oliver Cromwell. One goat galloped off towards the town in a state of fear, thus alerting the townspeople to the approaching danger.
3) legal loopholes, greedy landlords and tax evasion :)

I'm putting money on the 3rd one :)

Is getting your boss coffee, sex discrimination?

Well, as it turns out the act of getting coffee is not, by itself, a gender-specific act.

What about serving visitors? Maureen McGovern says "I'm not opposed to it, but I don't like it. If it's black, that's an easy one, but I'm not doing any skinny mocha lattes with soy."

or Audrey Jackson, who says "I would do anything for my boss except sleep with him, because he's married." Hmmm....

How does one become Queensland's most wanted criminal? Rob a bank, murder? Nope, by stealing a Scooby Doo costume and poking fun at the police. Quote - "SCOOBY-Doo has become one of Queensland's most wanted after giving police the slip during a reckless track invasion at the Ipswich Cup race day."

According to research conducted by the US Department of Energy and General Motors, nearly nine out of 10 women (88 per cent) say they'd rather chat up someone who owns the latest fuel-efficient car versus the latest sports car ... Hey ladies, I drive a Prius Hybrid! ;)

It gets worse. Eighty per cent of American car buyers would find someone with the latest fuel-efficient car more interesting to talk to at a party than someone with the latest sports car. And, more than 4 out of 10 (45 per cent) 18- to 43-year-olds say it's a fashion faux pas nowadays to have a car that's not green or environmentally friendly.

Researchers predict that robots can become lovers, in the not too distant future. And not merely simple mechanical sex machines but loving relationships that possess personality, emotion and consciousness.

Robots as sex toys should be on the market within five years, a sort of an upgrade of the sex dolls on sale now.
Mmm...can't wait :)

Drinking alcohol is not only good for the heart - it is good for the joints too. A regular tipple cuts the risk of arthritis by up to 50 per cent - and the more you drink, the greater the protective effect. Results from a survey of 2,750 people in Sweden and Denmark.

No wimpy phrases like "Drink in moderation..". A bold statement "the more you drink, the greater the protective effect." !!!

Spanking... (not the right way to bring up kids)

Most of populace thinks it improper to spank children. The other day I was talking to one of my younger buddies about methods used to discipline children. We talked about 'time outs', grounding, holding back 'rewards' until the child displayed desired behavior, etc. One of the things we discussed was the act of spanking and my friend explained that no, he does not spank any of his children.

He explained that what he does is to take the misbehaving child out for a ride in the car and talk. He said that usually this works and that the child calms down fairly quickly and really doesn't take too much time.

By removing the child, in this case his son, from the immediate situation and providing a change of scenery, the child is allowed to focus on something different. Once the child has the opportunity to change perspective, things get better quickly and the child has a better understanding of his place within the family and begins to understand the families concept of acceptable behavior.

He kindly shared a picture of the process, which I share with you now.

Can you believe this....

A JAPANESE man puzzled by food mysteriously disappearing from his refrigerator got a shock when he discovered a woman had been living in his home for months without permission, police said today.

The woman, named as 58-year-old Tatsuko Horikawa, was found in a flat storage space only just big enough for a person to squeeze into lying down. She had sneaked a mattress and several plastic bottles into the cubby hole.

Canadian human rights groups are calling on women to take part in a unique protest against Burma's military junta.

The idea behind the campaign has to do with the superstitious beliefs of Burma's military leaders. Human rights activists say the leaders believe that contact with women's underwear will sap them of their power.

Organizers say they want Canadian women to gather their panties and send them to Burma's embassy in Ottawa to help the Burmese people achieve democracy.

Imagine, walking past your neighbour's house and you see the silhouette of an armed femme fatale. Being a responsible citizen, aways aware and alert, you call the cops....

Armed officers burst into the house, shouted at the owner to lie on the floor, and ordered him to surrender his weapon. The gunman turned out to be a life-sized model of Lara Croft. To add to the the owner's distress, he was taken to the cells and held for more than 13 hours before being released. He is now on bail for a suspected firearms offence, and Lara remains impounded as evidence.

Harrison Ford had his chest waxed to help deforestation, now the guys (yes, it's probably guys) at Triumph International Japan have invented the world's first solar-powered bra.

US and Aussie scientists have extracted the DNA from an extinct Tassie Tiger and brought it back to life in a mouse. OK they say that "the technology will not lead to the cloning of an entire Tasmanian tiger"

Would you get married even once? With hindsight of course ;)

Bonnie Ashley was married 11 times, not one marriage lasted for more than 2 years. It's quite a sad tale, unloved by her dad who called any single woman over 25 "Old Maid". So what did she learn:

1) men are shallow
2) men only need three things to be happy, she discovered: a remote control, food in their belly and sex.
Yes that' s right according to the Sun newspaper http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/article1194434.ece
Kitchen contestant Matt, 35, accidentally cut off the tip of his thumb while preparing pancetta stuffing for a quail. As he ran from the room to seek first aid, his team mates took over and fried up the thumb with the rest of the meat. Ramsay sampled the dish and said "It tastes weird.”

You are driving in a car at a constant speed.

On your left side is a 'drop off', (The ground is 18-20 inches below the level you are travelling on),
and on your right side is a fire engine travelling at the same speed as you.
Both the horse and zebra are also travelling at the same speed as you.

The Kanamara Matsuri (Festival of the Steel Phallus)

From Wiki:

is an annual Shinto fertility festival held in Kawasaki, Japan in spring. The penis forms the central theme of the event.

The Kanamara Matsuri is centered around a local penis-venerating shrine, once popular among prostitutes who wished to pray for protection against sexually transmitted diseases. Today, the festival is used to raise money for HIV research.

There's also a legend of a demon that hid inside a young girl and castrated two young men on their wedding nights before a blacksmith fashioned an iron phallus that was used to break the demon's teeth, leading to the enshrinement of the item.
Japanese ladies weight loss secret

Less calories? Exercise? Sushi? Karate? Nope....

The secret is that Japanese ladies tug at their pubic hair for a couple of minutes daily. Not only will this promote weight loss but makes one "look more beautiful". Run your fingers in a circular motion and through the pubic hair in the same way one would, when fondling regular hair. Something to do with the estrogen levels....

What's the best or worst pre or post sex food you have ever had? (And don't insist on the food having to have participated in any way in the sex.)

Went off to watch Billy Elliott the Musical yesterday. Really enjoyed it, guess it brought back memories of the miners strike, Maggie Thatcher, Arthur Scargill (yes I'm ancient), the Geordie accent and all.

Anyone seen any good plays, movies, musicals concerts recently. Recommendations ?

...men are closer to monkeys than we'd like to admit.

Christina Ricci was groped by a chimpanzee on the set of her latest film Speed Racer. "The chimp jumped over and grabbed my left breast and hung off me," Ricci said.

But in an attempt to not upset the chimp any further, Ricci said she stood still and meekly cried "help, help, ouch".

How does one go from A to DD's?

A woman has been arrested after customs officers found half a kilo of cocaine in her bra when she arrived on a flight from Hong Kong.

The 25-year-old had her bags searched after she arrived in Sydney yesterday morning. She was then frisked and packages of cocaine were allegedly found in her bra.

The woman is due in Sydney's Central Local Court today charged with importing a marketable quantity of a border-controlled drug. The maximum penalty for the offence is 25 years imprisonment and/or a $550,000 fine.

Our lovely girl is really very poorly and is going to be staying with Sarah for a while, so at least we know she'll be in the best of hands. Thing is I spoke to her last night and she is too poorly to read / reply to all her emails so if anyone has emailed her get well soon messages she hasn't had them. I'm going to go and see her middle of this week so if anyone has anything they want me to pass on to her just post here or send me a PM and I'll let her know your messages when I see her.

Thanks all :)

Italian scientists have finally discovered the G spot (that of course depends on whether one has one to begin with). Using ultrasound equipment on 20 women, 9 of whom experienced vaginal orgasms, they discovered thicker tissue in the front vaginal wall located behind the urethra.

This they say is the G spot. Read more here: http://news.smh.com.au/scientists-row-over-g-spot-nears-a-climax/20080221-1tl6.html

It's so damn hard to say "Sorry". Australia as a nation managed it today, albeit many years late.
I've got that problem, difficulty in admitting it when I screwed up big time.

Since confession is good for soul...anyone care to apologise for past misdeeds?
