Find a freind with some fender damage, take his car to your nearest police station, Tell them that the car in question was driving irratically and side swiped you. Give them the description and the license plate number and they will give you the name and insurance information. -

Wed, March 11, 2009 - 10:25 PMI cant do this now because I've already spoken to the police in Pleasanton and Dublin. Maybe I could try it in another city. Just say the person tried to run me off the road or something. I still dont think they can legally give me the info. They will just make a note of it and ........Next. : ( -

once in my life. many life times ago, i use to work in a gas station, graveyard shift, across from a reservation ... some interesting shit goes down across an "Indian Res." between 11pm and 7am ... but thats another story.
here is the relevant part... we were given a number that we could call to run a plate :)
so if you know someone working in a gas station ask them if this still is the case ... ps. i live in Canada, but it shouldn't be much different in the US ... good luck -

Thu, March 12, 2009 - 8:41 AMIf you have not already done so you should report this. Either to the cops or a lawyer. Your lawyer would likely advise you to call 911 anyway because you should have this on some official record and not just your blog. I hope you are well and stay safe.

Thu, March 12, 2009 - 2:10 PMDoes it really help you to know who the cars owner is?- Or is it a witness intimidation tactic? Maybe its just scaring you that they really want?
I might consider using a different car for the next few days, or public transport, car sharing etc.. just leave the dang thing standing if it freaks you out.
Maybe its time it went in to the mechanic anyway? Sounds to me you have enough to worry about right now, with your health and the court case.. give yourself a brake.
Make sure you are around people, that always helps.. -

Thu, March 12, 2009 - 8:02 PMI couldnt follow because the neighbor is the one that witnessed it. In CA apparently it is virtually impossible to find out. I'm trying to find a way but it seems fruitless. I'm not sure what I'd do anyway. Just knock on the door and ask why the two chicks that were driving this dudes car were taking pictures of my car? Then he'd give me tude. Then I'd have to beat his ass. Then I's be in trouble. Hmm. Interesting how the LAW protects criminals but not victims. Maybe I should just become a thieving ass fucking crook and beat these assholes at their own game. : )
