    There was a Nova episode about fractals... very similar concept, but without the numbers. Nature repeats the same patterns.

        Conspiracy of Nature to Keep Humans Ignorant

        I've always thought that is "God's greatest joke" on human kind to make the moon not be spinning around.
        
        Just think if the moon was visibly spinning on its axis, ancient man would have figured out it was round and revolving. Maybe all that "Earth at the center" nonsense never would have happened.
        
        Would it have made a difference? Maybe not. But still, it is funny.
