a few or more musicians have decided to get famous and then speak out against the powers that be...
they didn't think to guard themselves after this...
and died.
i'm just speculating...
but, the famous that become politically motivated should certainly be on guard.

here is my story about this:

I spent a month n California during the 1994 world cup ... i even went to the final :)

i was in Reno during this game ... i bet on Columbia against the US, it was a 600+ if i recall the odds (if you bet $100 on US you got $600) .. they were a long shot. My brother bet on the US and won. The US won the game because Escobar when trying to deflect a cross ended up scoring on his own team. Columbia lost 1 to 0 ... when i was sitting there in the bar bitching, i turned around to a guy beside me and told him that if i was Escobar i would not go back to Columbia for a few years because he would be killed. He was a white guy and didn't really understand what i was talking about since he didn't realize what the loss meant.

I went back to Reno a few days later to place some more bets and the guy saw me ... he was freaking out ... telling his friends that i told him they would kill the guy and they did.
