Even though my view might be unpopular on this tribe I now believe that Oswald was the only gunman. This was confirmed after viewing a Discovery Channel program last fall. It was demonstrated that getting off all the shots and hitting a moving object was possible from Oswald's position in the book depositary. It also debunked the "magic bullet" story (portrayed in the movie JFK) and showed that a single bullet could do what it did that day without violating the laws of physcics.
Even though I think Oswald could have been the only gunman there is still a question about others planning it with him. It is mysterious to me that after defecting to the USSR in the hottest days of the cold war that Oswald was allowed to come back with no questions asked a lead a normal life in the U.S. It was also weird that he was involved with anti-Castro and pro-Castro groups at the same time. I think he was at least part of some Cointelpro operation. If he was set up to do the shooting I think we will find out someday.
Of course all documents and evidence should be released by the government now because the public has a right to know. In almost four years it will be the 50th anniversary of the shooting. I think if there had been a conspiracy that we would have a death bed confession or that somebody would have come foreward. There is still a posibility that could happen -

Sun, March 29, 2009 - 5:04 PMSupposedly any of you alive in 2035 are going to get to see the sequestered evidence when the Warren Commission block expires. All the participants are sure to be dead by then so it won't matter too much. Probably why they used that date I'd imagine.
As to the Zapruder film (I think it's spelled this way), it was so tampered with, spliced and diced, that there really is no telling whether it was real or not. I do remember years ago reading that some investigators noticed that it had been put back together incorrectly, sequences out of sequence, but I don't remember where I read that one.
Oswald as a loner? No, somehow I just don't think so. There are just far too many unanswered questions. I remember being sent home from elementary school and people were crying everywhere...And there are still the questions surrounding all the people pointing at the grassy knoll yelling that the gunshots came from over there.
JFK really wanted out of Viet Nam (Eisenhower's war) which was pissing off the extremely powerful and very violent military/industrial interests that just loved the idea of big profits fighting them bad commies. Not to mention Nixon and his boss Sen. Joe McCarthy and the HUAC tribunal were pretty pissed at JFK's policies. The Bay of Pigs...not real happy Mafia about the AG investigations; oh my he did have a few political, shall we say...opponents?
And we certainly can't forget the CIA assasination teams that were roaming the world snuffing people (and still are). Hell, read something fairly recently that the boxes of press photos from the day of Bobby Kennedy's killing were back under investigation due to some researcher noticing a couple of unexplained faces in the crowd that turned out to be a couple of CIA team members who were supposedly in Southest Asia at the time were in the same damn room, and one was behind him in the pantry moments before the shot to the back of the head from 1 inch away. Funny that Sirhan was in front of him a few feet but hey maybe that's just old cynical me!
And then there was J. Edger Hoover and his FBI and look at all the incredibly illegal violent death-dealing shit that slowly filtered out from the 60s that they were doing....No, somehow I just doubt Oswald did it alone. Maybe some of you younger people will find out the truth in 25 years, eh? Maybe...snarfsnarf. -
