Here's a good one. Check out this link.
5 of 9 Supreme Court Justices are Roman Catholic
At the beginnings of the Vietnam War, the Kennedy family would host the Vietnamese Archbishop on his visits to the USA. All those Buddhist monks who burned themselves? It was in protest of the Catholic leaders of South Vietnam prohibiting their parading.
Anyway. Hope you like this:

Re: The Reagan Administration and the Catholic Church
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 5:15 PMInteresting... but I'm not concerned about Catholics. I always have trouble with religious authorities, but more Catholics have trouble with the Pope and the church's teaching than I do.
Reagan = conservative
Pope = conservative
but I doubt if Reagan was an agent for the Vatican. -

Re: The Reagan Administration and the Catholic Church
Sat, October 31, 2009 - 12:52 PMDon't worry about the average Catholic American lay person.
Worry like hell about the clergy!
Since the first millenia, they have liked to be in with the politicians. Which is why the French Revolution had an anti-clergy bent. And why our's here in America instituted separation of church and state.
School bus subsidies amount to millions of tax dollars going to the church.
They get family planning funds cut.
Look what they did in Ireland. there, they told the politicians what movies the public could watch. Up until maybe the 80's, when the European Union said member states couldn't do that sorta thing.
