Hell will freeze over before Feinstein opposes this.

Someone with an anti-war, anti police state platform needs to run for that woman's seat.

Sometimes I wonder if what we are looking at is actually being used to collect information on discenters. However you spell that. Dissent. Fuck man. Anyway. Sometimes I wonder if the info you provide is being used for purposes other than what what is supposedly intended.

Yeah, that's the scary part - you've got to keep that in the front of your mind nowadays.

            Of course it is.

Are you going to let that silence you?

No - but... like our enemies once said, walk softly and carry a big stick. You've got to be smart about it. You can't do anything for the world dead, or locked up without trial in a federal pen.

And anyone who knows me knows, I never kept my mouth shut before, and I'm not about to start now. But there are no martyrs anymore, just a list of fallen victims.

                  P.S.

Orwell was a visoinary, or clairvoyant, who disguised his visions of the future as fiction. No one would have believed a word of it had he indicated that he was being shown a future reality. He is way too right on the money for there to remain ANY DOUBT that this is true.

Ok, so then why do you suppose every single CIA coup in the Cold War was a bungle and a half, save one? And I'm even including Bay of Pigs here, which they wanted but did despite contrary orders from Kennedy? How could they possibly have messed up that badly on every single mission except one - in the course of 40 years - if they were truly intelligent? And when I say intelligent here, I mean they did their job and gathered correct information and analyzed it properly. How?

The KGB was not going to just roll over and defy Mother Russia, despite what any patriotic American agent thought - and they tried everything, from diplomacy, to truth serums - including LSD, to torture - none of it worked! It didn't work then, and it doesn't work now!

Yes, we are being monitored - by cameras, by audio bugs, internet interception - yes we are - but just imagine... 12,000,000 + people talking all at once sometimes. How do you analyze that much data? They use mining techniques - which is not a good idea. It's not even a good idea as an idealistic model. Tracking like this is all the worse, because it's deliberate, but it still isn't going to catch a terrorist or a sympathizer. It's not like people can't end up there inadvertently. There is no intelligence behind the monitoring, that's the problem. In Orwell's vision, they knew everything that everyone was up to at every waking moment - that is not even remotely possible... and it never will be unless we face a pretty large scale endangerment as a species and retain the technology - or they lock us all up. Which is possible - there are Neutron bombs and plenty of police that'll do those job.

I'm not scared of being monitored, per se - I don't like it because I know what the ends are supposed to be with those means... but that's not what scares me. What scares me is that 50 e-mails between me and my mother regarding life in general could be misconstrued to make me, or her, or both of us - out to be terrorist sympathizers to be silenced. On the plus side, that means the odds of them catching any of us playing at directly are just as great. And yes, it needs to end - and now. And I am not afraid to stand up and say that. Or to sit here and say it. But I am afraid... and that fear, not paranoia - that fear is healthy. But no, they were not monitoring us back in the day or now to the point of enough efficiency that it's too late.

But make no mistake - if you organize an in-person, on location protest, then yes, they will get you because they know where you are and specifically what you're doing - they've already been doing that. People pulled from the subway in NYC and landing in some ridiculous trial and easily getting off - but... that wasn't everyone. Some of them are still sitting in a cell without charge or trial for the same "crime". Some didn't get off in the courts and are serving a term. Yeah, we're in a police state now, but it's not bad enough yet that we can't stop it. So, no - I'm not going to stop talking. They have to shut me up first, and I think we all know what I mean by that.

<He is way too right on the money for there to remain ANY DOUBT that this is true.>

ANY DOUBT? Remember, that's what the Christians say about Revelation. But far more feasibly, it's become deliberate fulfillment of prophecy from where I'm standing. Do you mean to say that the people in charge haven't read 1984? You're telling me they couldn't possibly just be using it as a model from which to proceed? And that the situation at hand couldn't be exaggerated in story to far greater proportions than it is? ANY DOUBT? I've got a few.

And I don't even question that Orwell was Intelligence and an Occultist. So was Crowley, he claimed Armageddon happened in 1904. That's still under considerable debate even among the Thelemites.
