Don't know what these are called but. it's sort of a throttle but my hand stays stuck in the middle.
I can keep it infinately going on meteor.
to explain the move in more detail. with the meteor i'm able to generate centrifical force by weaving it, then let go of it, using my hand more like a fin or a rutter, rubbing against it to keep it in place, with the force pre generated keeping it going.
I've started doing this with counterweighted poi. it's a little harder since the poi is much smaller than the meteor and the couter weight isn't the exact weight. that causes the poi to want to pull my hand further towards the wick head, which forces me to have to slide my hand back down to the counterweighted end.
i find starting it from the counterweighted side easiest. i can keep it going for about 7 rotations before my hand reaches the other side or it generates too much speed and momentum for me to keep it on.
anyone else know what move i'm talking about, has it been given a name yet? friends of mine and i played with it a long time ago and made no ground but picking up meteor between then and there has made my hand more stuble.
any hints, names, ideas.
how long has anyone else made this go?

Tue, November 13, 2007 - 10:31 PMyeah worddddd. propeller is what im talking about. it's fun and sick and i still suck at them
so i suppose the throttle thing is just where you hit the head and roll it back to the handle? -

Wed, November 14, 2007 - 8:46 AMyeah, or you can do a hand to hand pass with a throttle, so it goes slightly over your right hand, you pinch your index fingers together, so the handle now wraps your left hand, and then spin out like the one handed throttle.
you can use this to do a wibble/throttle shower, im working on it....
