I was just wondering who all out there in contact poi land will be at Fire Drums? I just confirmed my flight this morning so I'll be there for sure. Oh and I am also planning on teaching a contact poi and tricks workshop while I'm there so if your interested please be sure to make it on over. : )

I am tentatively planning on going. I figured out some new wibbles for myself. Been working on foot and like this weird neck trace wibble like thing for a little while now. Progress has been slow, but I think it will yield something interesting. However, hopefully I can go cause it'd be totally awesome to get to spin with you again! -

Conway was telling me last night you were doing some sweet contact stuff at the PEX party so it would be sweet to see it. You know if you ever wanted to head north 3 hours to my neck of the woods you would be more then welcome to come spin and chill for a weekend at my place. The only restrictions on spinning fire in Albany is that you have to be 10 feet from a building so that's pretty much a non issue.
Tim, you know we aren't that far from each other either so my little group and the CT folks should get together more often. I'm glad I'll be seeing you at Fire Drums for sure but with the lack of spinners in my area I don't know why I haven't thought about this earlier.

I mean, I have to fix up alot of tosses, but I wasn't working on anything INSANE. Just like, normal toss to an elbow grab or, over the head isolated swing and catch the handle inbetween your shoulder and head and use the momentum to toss it back up into another shoulder catch. Conway was doing behind the knee catch toss combinations that ive been trying to intergrate...but i still depend too much on my eyes. Its reallllly hard to feel that kinda stuff out when you let go your not in complete control anymore...which raises the question if we were ever in full control XDDD
