So I made a little video on plane control for someone. Figured I'd come share it just in case it helps anyone. I think I might actually have time to come by next wednesday finally XD (I know I've only been to like 2 or 3 community burns/practices, but school/work always got in the way =[)

Anyway, Hi CB :D

I look forward to seeing your performance in the 19th(?)! Something like that; I have my Artown pamphlet book thingy around here somewhere.

So here it is:

interesting and a good idea to post videos about planes, as they are very important.
I find that when I teach poi, i usually describe planes as their relation to the body and encourage people to envision being inside a box, with sides, front/back, top and bottom (which would be under your feet).
for example, when forward spinning with the poi at your sides, this is "side plane." When doing something like the butterfly or thread the needle, this is "front plane" (or "back plane" if the poi are spinning behind you. You can also have overhead plane, like for a corkscrew maneuver.

it is interesting that many spinners have their own lingo, and that is part of the beauty of it!
nice work. hope we see you soon!

Thanks =) Yeah the box methodology is probably the best. I've just heard a lot of silly names on HOP and GSC so I tried to use some that would be more common to people on those websites.

It gets really complicated with second degree moves and inside planes and atomics though x.x But by then pretty much everyone knows what they're doing anyway.
