he's a good cook, I admit that but like any good cook all the food is in the preperation,something he ever really showed. He got a great staff though

Although tired of Mr. Lagasse right now, I was once, long ago, quite hooked on his show. I, like others above me in this thread, learned some very basic cooking techniques. I liked Emeril's approach to things, too: "People, this is NOT rocket science!". He made cooking less intimidating and waaaaayyyyy more fun than anyone before him did, and for that he gets a "Thankya big big", as one old gunslinger might say.

Actually, come to think of it, there was one cat who made cooking fun before Emeril, by the name of Martin Yan. His show, "Yan Can Cook", was pretty damn funny, as I remember..."Now, I'm gonna show you HOW EASY IT IS...to make...SHRIMP DUMPLING!!!"

Aw, fiddlesticks. I just had lunch and I'm already hungry again...
