I have found something I rather like. While in hawaii I was inspired by pineapple.
When grilling meat, steak and such many people will spray the meat with apple juice when they flip it or check on it. I have started using pineapple juice instead. It's amazing.
I do the same in the morning with bacon. I spray it with pineapple juice everytime I turn it. The pineapple flavor seems to nuetralize some of the salt taste, but it remains sweet, plus the sugar in the pineapple carmalizes and makes for a wonderful extra taste.

Mon, August 13, 2007 - 6:00 PMmmmmm bacon.... thick cut bacon, with one edge crusted in lemon pepper... yum. with corned beef hash, and eggs, fried but with a gooey center. now thats a good heart attack breakfast. with some good black coffee... and orange juice so that you can at least pretend you are being healthy.
