I have a belt that I took a part and saved only 2 pieces -- looks steampunk. There's a hole at the top and bottom and I want to use these parts to make a steampunk looking garter belt one for each leg in the front... not sure how though - ideas?

I do not know how your pieces look like. But maybe you can use this video.
Or you can make a corsetbelt ala Tempest.

Wed, November 4, 2009 - 5:16 PMtarget - not sure if you have the stores near you or not - has "mitten clips" on sale, 2 for $1. these make EXCELLENT garter clips, as per my good friend claire who is a steampunk goddess :)
