give me a neck massage right now.
pay my rent.
settle my stomach.
ease the tension in my jaw.
kill the flies and ants.
tell all my friends and family every day that I love them.
figure out and do the hard stuff for me.
sing and play music and have friends over for jam sessions once in a while.

Re: The most amazing tribe would...
Wed, May 16, 2007 - 8:36 PMI would massage your neck, Fang, and that would probably ease the tension in your jaw. I'd bring you some ginger ale for your tummy. I wouldn't kill anything for you, but I'd either divert it or relocate it for you. I can't play music, but I could sing, if gas wasn't $3.29 a gallon here, making a trip to Md. a bit out of reach. And I'm unemployed, so I can't pay your rent. I'd help you with the hard stuff, too, (if I'm capable) whatever they are. -

Re: The most amazing tribe would...
Thu, May 17, 2007 - 1:46 AMI can help you with the neck massage. I can help you with the ants. And I can play music. Can't sing though.
Sounds like you need a whole team of people.
Maybe a whole tribe full of people. -

Re: The most amazing tribe would...
Thu, May 17, 2007 - 9:13 AMyes I miss my tribe. when I relocated to a new coast, I thought a new community would magically appear. Like it had in SF when I was 20 years old. It is going to take a lot more effort than that. Too bad tribe doesn't allow for neck massages.
Throughout my life I have made friends in different locations, then they have moved and I have moved, now we are spread out everywhere.
I moved here to be close to Will's family, extended family and friends, which at the time was quite a lot of people. Unfortunately several have moved, and his Mom passed away. From his family, we are left only with his Dad and brother, at least we have them. But I miss the rest, and my family up North and out West...
oh well. what do you guys want? I love how you wrote what you could help with. That in itself helps! Can I return the favor? -

Re: The most amazing tribe would...
Thu, May 17, 2007 - 7:01 PMplaying matchmaker in highschool usually meant that one of my best friends would stop talking to me. One of them because I forgot to mention the guy (who went to another school) had zits. Isn't that rediculous. It never occured to me. The poor guys heart was so broke after quite a few very nice letters back and forth. He was such a catch too.
Another friend ended up the guy's girlfriend. But she didn't start talking with me again. I think they may have got married too.
I don't know anyone in your neck of the woods exactly. Paidia is in Oregon, right? but she's taken. She could certainly give you a few good cooking tips though.
Let me think about that some more. I must know somebody over your way
and a few cooking tips?
garlic and ginger to start just about anything - stir fries especially.
olive oil cooking spray.
more tips coming, when I'm feeling better.

Re: The most amazing tribe would...
Fri, May 18, 2007 - 11:53 AMWell Paidia, if I have any questions, I will be sure and let you know.
I think I am starting to like Fang's idea. The tribe could be about things we want.
"I want to tell a story"
"I want to tell a joke"
"I want to ask a question"
"I want some advice"
"I want your opinion"
"I want to rant"
ect...ect... -

Re: The most amazing tribe would...
Sat, May 19, 2007 - 12:55 AMWhat?????
I thought is was Fang's idea? She started the thread with things she wants. I'm just saying it's an excellent idea. I think it could have alot of potential. Everybody wants something....right? The rest of us could do what we could to help out.
It could be fun, silly, serious, anything. Something for everyone, sooner of later. -
