Grrr...much as I love rock and roll, especially what is now considered classic, I'd have to be held at gunpoint to listen to Led Zeppelin. I know, greatest band of all time, blah blah....but I've just never liked them. When I was a teenager, it was sort of like a "cool kid" thing to me. All the kids who thought they were so cool listened to one and only one radio station, and they were constantly doing the "yeah....zep'lin, man...." drone. It nauseated me.
As for disco, I'm well aware that most of the rock and rollers hate it with a passion. But to me it was all about fun and dancing and partying and who you might want to go home with that night. And you could understand the lyrics, trite as they were.
