How do I keep my home made bath salts from clumping? They usually end up in one big mass. I try not to keep them in my bathroom, but in my clothes closet instead.
Any suggestions?

Wed, October 10, 2007 - 6:08 AMWhat kind of container are you deeping them in? I made some last year and they pretty much stayed clump free. I used a glass jar that had a rubber seal on the lid.
Have you tried usin a mason jar?

Fri, December 14, 2007 - 11:34 AMAh, you live where it is humid! When I lived in CA and MT (where it is dry) this is never a problem, but in NC it was. I ended up making my salts as I needed them there, instead of a whole lot at once. Made it a pain, but that worked. I would be interested to see what others do! -

I used to buy a lot from snowdrift farms, and on their website, it states This natural salt absorbs essential oils and fragrance oils twice as efficiently as other salts used in bath mixes. It's specially formulated to prevent caking, add flowability and keeps the scent in your salts longer. We recommend using 1 cup of dendritic salt to every 20 cups of other salts used.
