I am new to the group. I am a therapist and a mom with a child with torticollis. She is 5 months old and has hip dysplasia, which has been corrected. She was just diagnosed with torticollis and from my understanding we only have until she is 1 year to correct it. I want to give her as much treatment as possible as long as it's fun and comfortable for her. She is going to get treatment with a PT but does anyone have suggestions on things I can do for her besides just stretching? I have never done CST on an infant. I know there are certain things you should not perform such as decompressions. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Re: CST and Torticollis
Fri, March 14, 2008 - 3:15 PMHi Melissa,
There's alot of information on this in an earlier post entitled, Treating Torticollis in INfants.
You might also want to contact,

She might be able to help you with this.
Also, I don't know what type of decompressions you are referring to, but I work with many infants, including newborns, and occipital decompression is one of the most effective valuable tools I have.
Good Luck,
