I had an interesting session this week and was reminded of a short but sweet paragraph from Hugh Milne's book Heart of Listening.
I was receiving unwinding on my wrist and arm and the therapist was doing this in connection with the cranial pulse. I felt this connection all the way to the sphenoid and felt my sphenoid begin to unwind.
At this point I remembered that paragraph from his book where he unwinds the sphenoid with a simple wrist contact. I had always thought that this was a very complex move that could only be done by the most advanced practitioners. I asked my therapist if she knew that this move would promote sphenoid unwinding and she said that she was not trying to do that, but was open to any unwinding my body might want at that moment.
I was reminded of the power of CST and why indirect moves like this can be so very effective.
