do you not want fries with that? are you doing quite well for yourself, thank you very much? do you keep dylan thomas and proust on the back of your toilet? do you have at least one literary refrences/puns worked into your home decor? do you resist the urge to MLA format your grocery list? do you make a life out of your major? then come here, my child.

there's a lot that goes into being an english major - like any "useless" (ha!) acadmic discipline it's not without its detractors and rough patches. but it's worth it, isn't it? :)

here's an opportunity to complain, blather, connect, think, and above all joke about matters directly related to being a "CEM" or matters tangential, such as oh, i don't know, scholastic horror stories, recent bookstore purchases, or the best cocktails to have while reading/studying which authors.

please keep a sense of humor, and remember that i'm giving this a more literary bent, rather than linguistic. of course, if you have goodies to contribute about your passion for teaching the language, go right ahead.
