I've got some yummy bits that are dying to be made into Tribal headbands... but I want to serve those who are going to wear them (hopefully)!
So, my question to you... what do you look for in a headband?
Do you like them to have long ties in the back that hang down? Do you like elastic in the back? Do you like a band that ends right behind the ear and is held on with the tension? Do you like them to be soft and just clip on the sides to hold it in place?
Let me know your thoughts... I aim to please! :-)

Re: Tell me what you would like in headbands...
Tue, May 15, 2007 - 6:55 AMIm interested in headbands that will allow me to wear my hair down. I put together a band this weekedn which was just a regular metal hairband from the drug store and slid in some of your flower clips on the side. Id like something like that-maybe with some cowrie clippy bits coming down the front.... check my profile pics to see what I mean....oh boy I feel more customized Crystal wares coming my way:-)

Re: Tell me what you would like in headbands...
Tue, May 15, 2007 - 4:34 PMI find that bands that are held by tension stay in my hair better than ones that tie on or are held on by elastic. I think it's because I have fine, slippery hair. I find that one of the things that keeps me from wearing scarves, headbands, etc. for performance is that they slip out of place well before I get to the performance, even if I'm putting them on 15 minutes beforehand.
I like the look of scarves that have long ties hanging down. So for me a tension headband that managed to look like a scarf with long ends would be something I'd consider. -

Wed, May 16, 2007 - 7:09 AMThanks for the info ladies... seems the two of you like the tension style.
I am definitely going to make them workable with Clippy Bits! :-)
Hey, and don't forget my latest item... strong hair clips with cowry shells mounted to them. The idea behind those is to keep your headbands, adornments, cowry falls and other bits in place... they are really strong!
Any other thoughts?
