Here is one I found on another group that may help some of the ones thinking of coming out for the summer or living out here on a low budget.
www.simplydifferently.org/
So as it warms up in the day time it still drops about 30 to 40* at night. feels colder then it is as you get use to the 85* to 95* in the day time and then it drops to 50* or so at night, you will need something to keep a little of the heat in.
Looking forward to seeing the ones who are coming out.

I think the kit is a good idea and these could be made up to live in with a smoke up left open. Be good till something else came along or was built.
Have a great week all

This might be a way to go as you could set this up and cover it with the tar paper wire for stucco and then use the clay and sand mix with maybe some straw in it. Also you could dig a hole in the ground where you would have more head room or it would be two stories if you dug deep enough. This would be a cheep way to build small places for people who are coming out to help build and you could get one up in a few days cover and all. Or for you burners out there how about a canvas cover. This would be easy to put a door in and windows. For walls you could use canvas where you could roll it up in day time to open up space. I can see it costing about $1000 or less to set one up to live in. Use a five gallon bucket with a toilet seat on it,(www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb...at.aspx a use RV shower and RV size stove and sink and all you would have to do is find a old RV that needs move off someones land as it doesn't have to be live able but just have the stuff you need in it. Or hit flea markets and yard sales.

I may in time get one to add to my add on and move this old fifth wheel out and I would use glass for part of the south side as I have a light weight metal to make window frames out of. Make a small cover walk way from the dome to the add on. For what I have in my add on I could have set about four or five of these up in a circle.
Hope this helps some and gives people ideas and one other is using it for storage.
Have a bless life all

Building your own solar panel
Sun, August 16, 2009 - 12:45 PMwww.greenpowerscience.com/SOLARBUY.html
Takes a lot of time but by what I saw it saves you half or more on the cost of solar panels and if you have the room would be a good way to pass the time on them days it is to cold or wet to go outside.
Or is a place that seems cheaper them most of the places I look at panels
www.solarblvd.com/index.php
I better get of line and do some work outside.
Have a great week and hope this helps in learning how to build panels and other off the grid things we feel the need to have.
