Recipe for laundry soap

this was sent from a freecycle group I belong to.

I noticed you can make dishwasher soap from
1 cup of borax
Making Homemade Laundry Soap
The cost of making this recipe for laundry soap was .71 cents for 2 gallons! With this size recipe you will have enough to do 64 loads of laundry. That translates to about .01 cent a load. > The total ingredients cost about $8, but it'll make about 20 "two gallon"recipes!

You will need 3 basic ingredients; a soap of some sort, washing soda and borax.

> Soap: The most typical type of soap to use is Fels Naptha. It is an old-fashioned type of soap usually found in the laundry aisle. The other options for soap are Ivory or another brand called, Zote. Any of these will work. If you use Ivory or your own homemade soap you will need to use the whole bar.

> Washing Soda: This is not to be confused with baking soda. They are not the same thing. Washing soda is sodium carbonate or soda ash (baking soda is sodium bicarbonate). It is a
white powder. Its purpose is to help remove dirt and orders. The brand to look for is Arm & Hammer Washing Soda. I find it in the laundry section of my grocery store. Many people have
a hard time finding this locally. I would also suggest asking your grocery store manager if it
would be possible for the store to get it for you.

purpose is as a laundry whitener and deodorizer. The brand to look for is 20 Mule Team. It
comes in a 76 oz. box. You should be able to locate this in the laundry detergent aisle. Again as with the washing soda, if you cannot find it ask you store manager.

Grate the soap and put it in a big sauce pan.
Add 6 cups water and heat it until the soap melts.
Add the washing soda and the borax and stir until it is dissolved.
Remove from heat. Pour 4 cups hot water into the bucket.
Now add your soap mixture and stir.
Now add 1 gallon plus 6 cups of water and stir.
Let the soap sit for about 24 hours and it will gel. You use ½ cup per load.

> The finished soap will not be a solid gel. It will be more of a watery gel that has been accurately described as an "egg noodle soup" look.

> The soap is a low sudsing soap. So if you don't see suds, that is ok. Suds are not what does the cleaning, it is the ingredients in the soap.
> > Optional: If you want your soap to have some sort of scent you can scent this with ½ to 1 oz. of essential oil or fragrance oil of your choice.
1 cup of baking soda
Mix them together and put 1 tablespoon in each soap compartment.
How easy is that, will be trying this week.

Here is one I found on another group that may help some of the ones thinking of coming out for the summer or living out here on a low budget.

So as it warms up in the day time it still drops about 30 to 40* at night. feels colder then it is as you get use to the 85* to 95* in the day time and then it drops to 50* or so at night, you will need something to keep a little of the heat in.

Have a nice guest house

Blessings All
I traded for a nice over head camper this last week that just needs a little work. New vents and the roof re sealed, got half of it done yesterday as there was many layers of old patching on it that wasn't doing any good but after a few hours on the roof in the sun got it off and some new on. Will have to start picking up vents in ALb when I go this week. Now this is just for weekend guest at this time or someone coming out to work for a week or so. It will sleep four with the upper bed and the table makes out to a full bed. All I will ask is that you replace the LP gas you use. For summer use I will see about hooking up a water tank. Their will be one small solar panel for lights. In the winter I will empty out all the water lines and tank. For when someone comes out in the winter there is a heater to use but will use a lot of power and LP gas. There is other ways to heat it where someone could spend a weekend in it or longer.
Will post pictures later after I get the roof done and a little work on the outside but the inside is real nice.

Here is something to think about.
I see all the things we are going through at this time like the birthing pains our Mother had when we was born. It seems they kept on for ever but one day soon we will come into a new life here on Mother Earth and in the Universe.
Have a great life and know things will happen very fast over the next few years. For all the ones holding the Universe and all that is within it in love and light, thank you for doing so. This is what is speeding things up to where it will not be as bad as it would been a few years ago. So keep up doing what you are doing by holding all in love & light.
They will still be a time where many will leave this plane and where many will not be able to live around all the confusion in the cities and in a lot of the small towns , many will feel the need to get back to working and living with the flow of Mother and allow spirit to work with them in places where it is quite and peaceful. Like getting back to the basic of living.

My wife and I have been wanting to live off the grid for 2 yers now. We bought 21/2 acres in Williams, AZ about 178 miles from you. We are now living in Safford, AZ. My wife has been wanting to live on the land, but having community really appeals to me, and I am a bit of a pacifist. Your community sounds very appealing. We have a 31ft motorhome (older), but evrything works with a little repair. I am currently renting it out. My wife is on SSI, so we have a small amount of money coming in steady. I drove a tractor-trailer but lost my CDL's. I am currently attending the University of Phoenix working on a Psyche degree. I will also be getting a permanent partial disability awarded soon for some more bucks. I am not lazy when it comes to work and would be available for any kind of work full time. My wife is currently disabled, but should be well enough to walk in a few months. She is Christian and loves animals, crafts, and the land. We have workamped much and we are no strangers to living off the grid. My last gig was at the Grand Canyon were we lived in the Park and I worked for the Park fueling tour busses. I want to talk to my wife in depth as soon as she gets out of the hospital. I am very interested in joining your community and can contribute both finacially and with work. I find it rare when someone is willing enough to give of themselves as you appear to be, and you sound like my kind of people, as my wife and I are the same.

About Some questions I was ask

I?m curious how this idea for your intentional community came about.

How long have you been interested in intentional communities?
Do you live on your own?
When members arrive, how will they feed themselves?
Is there a fee?
Are you striving to live sustainably by raising animals and growing gardens?
So here is what I said

This came about when spirit said it was time to get things ready for when many will not be able to live in the cities, and now we are seeing that come about with so many losing their jobs and homes.
I had a new home in Vegas and was enjoying teaching Reiki and working with crystals when spirit said it was time to buy land. I said but I was to be here for ten years not five and it came from spirit that things are going to go fast over the next few years,as far life as we have know it for the past many years will change.
So I said OK even with all my loving spiritual family there in Vegas I put the house up for sale and started looking for land. Ok now there was already spiritual people I knew in this area so I look here. I ended up on the other side of St.Johns from them but I am where spirit wanted me to be with land to set up a tribe.. So far I had help from friends in Vegas who come out once in a while and from a guy I pay what I can to help with some of the harder work and he has been great about helping all he can with the work. I have keep putting most of the money I make into Mothers Land to get it ready for when the people come. I have met a few that spirit had said would live out here to help but at the time I met them they didn't have the fortitude to take this big step in their life. I have the goats who will be bred this next winter for their babies and their milk to make cheese and butter out of as I was going to breed them this winter but I have enough to do with living by myself along with all my babies and many spirits that keep me going. I seen many communities on IC who charge and want a back ground check but here it is free as far as money but you are expected to help with the work and to build your own place to live without hurting Mother Earth anymore then you have to.(((( I know there will be some who just don't work out and that will be a hard part as I will have to ask them to move on.We can not have anyone who will disrespect Mother Earth and an of the ones who live here in any way.))))
This year I didn't put in a garden do to not having the time for it.
For me I can see where Spirit has been getting me ready for this most of my life as I been able to do a lot of the work myself. As far as feeding the ones who come there is low paying jobs in St.Johns to be had where people can feed them self's till we get a garden in and more animals to use for food.Here is would take just a small income to live on do to no rent. You would need something to drive and something to live in till you get something built, RV,tent or_______- as it is getting warmer where living in a tent would work out for a while. As we do have some very cold days and nights here in the winter. I use a wood stove at this time for heat and a fifth wheel with add on to live in. The fifth wheel was in very bad shape when I got it so I rebuilt it before I move out here with it.
I hope this helps you see how much this means to me by being Bless by Spirit by being ask to do this.

New Poly-esk support group in Tucson

It took me around three years to “find myself” as Polyamorous. Then I had the pleasure (about four years ago) of enjoying the Poly community in Boston, MA. Since then I have meet with poly groups in Providence, RI. Phoenix, AZ. and Tucson, AZ.

Unfortunately, no community quite filled the void like the community in Boston. Much to my delight I hear there are other cities that have an even larger poly community!

Don’t get me wrong, I truly enjoyed the people I met here in Tucson. Though there is still a “glue” lacking out here.

So it is time for me to do what I do best. Create community.

I have created a support group for individuals interested in alternative relationship dynamics, whom hope to meet others and troubleshoot problematic situations in their lives.

Help to get the word out to where it is needed

How would I go about getting word out that I will take in homeless pagans and others who respect Mother Earth as we can always at this time of year start out with tents and over the summer build with the slabs I get just for the fuel to go get them. With enough help we could put in a garden and with the goats I have all I need is a male goat and we have milk,cheese,butter and I have a male coming before winter so we would have milk by next spring. There is some jobs here in St.Johns that don't pay much but if you don't have rent to pay you can live off them. This is the hard part as I want only spirits that willing to take care of Mother Earth and not harm anyone or thing...How do I decide who to ask to live out when I see people living on the streets when I go to Alb?????????/ So help get the word out to our pagan family's and other groups that love Mother Earth.

Land Agreements for Crystal Triple Moon Tribe

Land Agreements for Crystal Triple Moon Tribe (at this time this may change some but not much as it is close to what I see is needed for the land)

1.To live with Mother Earth in all ways.( I am not going to have a lot of rules but to live together we do need to use common sense)
2.Once we have a number of people living on the land we will form a council of elders.
3.Have thirty days to see if you can live by the way of the land and with the land.
4.Next to have another sixty days to see that you help and provide support to the growth of the community of the Crystal Triple Moon Tribe (CTMT)
5.Once you have been in the community ninety days and support the community, you will have another ninety days to show that you will continue to support CTMT. Also that you get along with the others within the community.
6.One thing you will need some way of supporting yourself, for food your trailer/tent/house. Yes at some point we will have jobs for some that don’t have any income from the outside but to start with you will need some income.
7.After that you will belong and have a full voice in all that happens with in CTMT.
8.As the land buyer (Tamara Picket) (Yes we all are care takers of Mother but she does allows us to use Her and to care for Her). I will have last say so on things being built or used on the land.
9.All permanent building will once they are built belong to the land and stay on the land.
10.Everyone will donate time to work in the common areas.
11.During the first six months the person will donate at least _____ hours. After working and living on the land the person will not have a set amount of hours to donate, but will be expected to work when ask and or needed. The number of hours will depend upon outside jobs and the time you spend on the land. These hours are minimum requirements; the person may choose to work more. More in the beginning of building and a little less as time goes on.
12.You will take care of the area you are living in at all times.
13.When there is a circle that you want to have (talk to me & the elders)
14.When you join in a circle that is going on you will be ask to help set up and take down, if it is something that you care not to join in you will not be ask to help in any way.
15.Now this is a hard thing to say and do but for the most part the CTMT tribe will be for adults only, do to some gatherings being of the adult type. Also with the tribe being open to nudists. ( this is do to the way the law is) For the ones who do want to bring their kids into this tribe and lifestyle. I will set aside a part of the land where you will be the farthest from where adult style gatherings will meet. Beforehand we will sit down and talk about the type gatherings that will be held here. This is before you move on to the land. To let you know what your kids might see, as kids seem to see more then we think they do.
16.Pets you will be able to have pets as long as you care for them and pick up after them. Do to having gatherings I will ask that you put up a fence around where you are living on the land for your pets.
17.No taking more then three stones from Mother. No taking more then one piece of the pottery from the land if you find some and if it is where it will be hurt in any way bring it to the temple area please. As I know with having garden space we will need to move some things.
18.To show respect for Mother Earth: There will be no off road driving on the land, stay on the roads at all time as there will be roads to all parts of the land where you can get close to where you are living. ( NO DRIT BIKES OR ATVs will be tolerated) No drive ways will be built up to each house as there will be a few common places to park. ( each side of the land)
19.Only time anyone will drive off the main road is to unload building supplies and it will be done in a way not to break or hurt Mother in anyway. I will have a wagon to pull with the tractor at slow speeds only.
20.There will be many water wells as I will expect help in the drilling of them. And for the ones who can help in buying of the pumps, pipe and tanks. I have a water well drilling rig. Just so we can have many wells.
21.On the water wells if we drill one on the space you are using you will be expected to help and or pay for the pipe and pump and tank. Now this is for the ones who want a well for their use only
22.Drumming circles will be open to all unless it is for a special occasion. (Healing work-extra) where just the ones working with someone are in the circle.
23.Everyone will have use of and care of the temple/fire circle space.
24.All use of the Temple space will have to be agreed on by the elders-myself.
25.Land for each family is to be 1/4 to 1 acre for up to forty five families.
26.I will have forty five acres for myself and the scared space. This will be use for my home and work shop, my pets, fire circle and room for tents when we have events.
27.All equipment (tractors/ tools will be took care of and you will ask to use them) I have took time and money to make sure that we have most every tool we need to build most anything. If you do break something fix it or replace it.
28.I will expect help with this space as I am not going to be charging rent for staying on the land. (see # 10) Donations will always be accepted to go towards solar panels, batteries, well pumps, and wind generators and any fuel needed for heat in winter.(wood $160 a cord) Well solar pumps are about $1000 to $2500.00 each. That is with the solar panels batteries as the water line is extra.
29.At anytime someone moves off the land they will not longer have any say so or be able to claim any rights to the land.
30.When an idea is put forth to the council or myself it becomes at once the property of the group. Although this notion sounds simple, it is perhaps the most profound principle of consultation. For in this rule, all ideas cease to be the property of any individual, sub-group, or constituency. When followed, this principle encourages those ideas that spring forth from a sincere desire to serve, as opposed to ideas that emanate from a desire for personal aggrandizement or constituency-building

Times to come

Yes we are bless to be living in this time and space as we have the chance to help the Spirit/Universe become all it can be. This has happen every few thousands of year with the Mayan and other people who had become enlighten to the point where they could work with the Universe to help others become enlighten and learn to love one another. But in times past as it is at this time people became to greedy ( had fear) and miss the chance to become all they could become. Now we have the chance to help and allow Spirit to teach us how to live in love. There will be this time of hardship for many as the shift comes more into being. We all have our work cut out for us to do what we have been training for in many life's. I think all the things that have to do with greed and control of others will have to disappear as we the new teachers allow the Spirit of the Universe to work through us. Yes we will have to help all the ones we can and turn down the ones who do not help themselves or want to help others. What I am trying to say is that for me here on CTMT I will feed all who ask for a meal and if they are willing to help towards the greater good of all they will be allow to stay and if not they will be ask to leave and I will give them some food to go. (beans and rice). Now one of the hard things will be what to do about the ones who want to take what we have without trading anything for it and or leaving us with nothing.
So as the New Year has started out, may more of us live in peace and love for the times to come.
I am sure that the Universe has brought many of us here to this area to help each other in the days to come. We may seem far apart but are we as if you look at how big Mother Earth is then we are just next door.

List of things to have on hand

This list I hope will grow will everyone thinking of things we might need in the near future.
Batteries rechargeable
Rechargeable lights /////led lights
Drills rechargeable 18 vote or bigger and I found the Black and Decker at wall mart works great as you get two batteries with it .
Food for a year or more,, till crops are in. Rice and beans will get you by but you will get tired of it so get things to add to it. if it is something you really like that can be stored (dry type food) get all you need or think you will want.(((( popcorn ????
Everyday things, so when you buy something you use all the time get two or more.
Hand tools,saws, all types you can get a two person wood saw still.(http://www.harborfreight.com/) ebay
Animals Goats for milk, cheese, butter, meat, donkeys or horses to pull with Chickens,rabbits,cows
Water tanks
Feed for the animals till you can raise some. This time of year I would say a years worth.
Seeds
Wind generators even if you have one and you find one cheep get it. (parts) Also found if you use four 400 in a series and one goes down you still have power. you can set up as many series as you need.
Solar panels all sizes
Fence ( you don't want your garden to go to all the animals around after you work so hard.
Here I hope to get a big diesel tank (500gal. or bigger for red diesel to use for the tractor only) I could make 500 gal go two years or maybe more with my tractor. by that time I would hope for crops to make fuel out of.

For you that live in cities check your free sites on the net. You can get a lot of things you will need to live off the grid if you have to. If I live close to a city I could build a big house just out of free stuff I see on the Phoenix or Alb.NM craigslist under free and there are all types of free groups of people who would rather give then throw something away.
Wood stoves to heat with and to cook with.
Come on hit them yard sales and flea markets as you don't have to have everything new.
Yes this sounds like I think things are going to change big time, I hope I am wrong but I feel that it will get real bad for a few years, or longer.
Why would Spirit send me out here to set up this tribe if there wasn't a reason for it.
Things to trade with. barter may end up being the way we live.

sliding glass doors

Using sliding glass doors in front of my add on to make a winter sun room, this year will have a plastic top till I can find more doors to re use. This also is making a nice wind break for in the mornings we get a east wind. As I get more doors I will go out another six feet where I will have sun on this room most of the day and turn it into a green house by closing it in then. Using log slabs to build a bigger three sided barn for the donkeys and should have it done this next week. The dug out I had built for the goats and the donkeys took over will be enclose to where the goats will be the only ones to fit threw the door as they are using the dugout for the calf now and not as much room as the calf gets bigger.Always lots to do here on CTMT farm. So anyone that needs a place to live I am getting the storage trailer with a guest room ready. I may have found a small wood stove that I can put in the middle of the storage room and with a small fan push the heat back to the back where the bedroom is. Not sure till I go look at it next week.Do need prayers for my health to keep up with all the work out here and that the ones who are led by spirit come out to help or send help in other ways. I know when the time comes and there is not much food in the stores there will be lots of people wanting to come out but now is the time to get things ready for later on. Not all at once. I will share with the ones who are willing to help out with work or something here on the farm and will always give anyone who needs a meal,a meal. But anyone who comes out needs to know that life is all about trade outs.

Guest room

Was able to pick a older trailer a while back and got into the area I wanted it today. One of them trade things. Using the front for storage and the back bedroom for guest.. Next summer I will hook up water and a gray water system. Just got a little more work on it and it will be ready to use, but might get a little cold at night as there is no heat in it. I have the back windows facing south so it will heat up in day time. Lots of windows so will get sun all day. Will post a picture later. Now all I got to do is pull the axles off and set it down as low as I can.

Way I feel

Wow After over three years here in St.Johns and almost that on Mother's Land I took a walk tonight and was thinking about why I said Yes to Spirit on this big task. One I don't like the 4x4 over the spiritual head. So here I am thinking tonight about how much has been done and how bless I am to be pick to do this task. There are days I think this is to much for me to do and them days I don't get anything done. As long as I take one little task at a time things get done. Not as much as I would like to see but something at least. Met a few people who was called to come out here, here and there but till they trust and have the fortitude to say ok here I am, they can keep on getting hit by spirit. I am posting some pictures tonight of the land here from the south and west and some towards the north. So take a look at how bless I am to live here, even if it takes every penny I get to get things done so be it. I train for this task all this life and here I am.Yes I am lonely,but I go to town for a people fix once a week or so.Yes I hurt and some days I am not able to work but that is ok I will set back and read a book. Saw all my DVD's three or more times. The things is I said yes to Spirit and to the task I said yes to before I got here in this life, some days I think I said yes to a lot for one life but what can I do but do it.So if you feel like you want to say a prayer or send some money or things I can use on the land, I had to learn to ask and be open to accepting in order to learn to trust Spirit more and more. I got a Holstein Bull calf to raise this week for meat, I know they are not the best meat cow but as long as you feed it the right food, your beef will be better then what you buy in the stores as you will know what went into the calf. Will post pictures later.
He has to be bottle fed twice a day now for a few weeks, along with good hay and grass.

About life as I see it

Something to think about
This is something I use to teach to my Reiki students,
Life is like a candy store.
There is something’s we want in our life and some we don’t but all things are good as they teach us want we need or don’t need in our life’s,
Say you see something you think is bad (like rape, killing, stealing, any number of things we as humans think as bad) but are they.
They are spirits here to teach us what we want in our lives to be able to live in love.
We are to bless the ones we don’t want in our lives for teaching us what we don’t need.
Now the ones we see doing something we want to use in our life we either ask them to teach us or just learn by watching.
Here is what I mean about life being like living in a candy store.
We get to pick and chose what and who we want in our life just like if we go into a candy store we pick the candy we like.
Now as humans we will sometime pick something we find out is not good for ourselves but we have the choice to keep doing it or blessing it and sending that idea or thought back to the Universe.
There are no bad things just lessons we learn from all things. By not having to live through all things we bless the ones who teach what we don’t want in our lives as they have the hardest job of all.
Yes there is human’s who copycat the ones who come here to teach us things not done in love or things that seem not done in love as that is what free will is about making choices.
Now this is just my way of looking at life.
I can say yes or no to all things in my life and I try to say yes to all things done in love. (This human thing makes it hard some days) but that is why we are here to learn and teach with our lives.

Update on CTMT
Am getting to the point where I need someone living out here to help with the work and taking care of Mother Earth, am getting work for the tractor and will be getting more as time goes on. Also where I can take off for a few days at a time and know all the babies are safe and being fed, as I would love to see everyone around the fire at bone dance.

Not sure what the weather has in store for us here as it seems it might be an early winter. I did get another wood stove to heat with this year and it should use less wood then the one I had last year.
More going on but not one for writing a lot.
Still would love to see my fire family come out for a weekend of some work and a lot of play around the fire.

Up Date

With being off line do to no computer for a few months I have not kept up with posting what is going on out here.
For the most part with no extra work this winter I didn't get as far as I wanted to with setting up space for a drum/fire dance this summer. So maybe by fall. I was sick a lot this winter but got over all that and am back getting things done here at CTMT.. So much of the work I want to do takes more then one person to get done. I do have someone coming out next month to see if they can make it out here, does look good for them. As soon as I get the pen built I have four goats coming.
Seems by all the ones I talk with that this is still going to be for the alternative lifestyle and them that are open /// accepting of other lifestyles.
I had to have the transmission rebuilt on the ATV and that lasted about 200 miles. So may turn it back in as I need something I know will get me to town when I need it to.
Thank you all for your prayers
Keep praying for our veterans that they will come home soon.
Also I am asking for prayers that the ones who are met to come out here and live show up asap.

The Smudging Ceremony

By Adrienne Borden and Steve Coyote

Our Native elders have taught us that before a person can be healed or heal another, one must be cleansed of any bad feelings, negative thoughts, bad spirits or negative energy - cleansed both physically and spiritually. This helps the healing to come through in a clear way, without being distorted or sidetracked by negative "stuff" in either the healer or the client. The elders say that all ceremonies, tribal or private, must be entered into with a good heart so that we can pray, sing, and walk in a sacred manner, and be helped by the spirits to enter the sacred realm.

Native people throughout the world use herbs to accomplish this. One common ceremony is to burn certain herbs, take the smoke in one's hands and rub or brush it over the body. Today this is commonly called "smudging." In Western North America the three plants most frequently used in smudging are sage, cedar, and sweetgrass.

Sage

There are many varieties of sage, and most have been used in smudging. The botanical name for "true" sage is Salvia (e.g. Salvia officinalis, Garden Sage, or Salvia apiana, White Sage). It is interesting to note that Salvia comes from the Latin root salvare, which means "to heal." There are also varieties of sage which are of a species separate from Salvin Artemusia. Included here are sagebrush ( e.g. Artemisia californica) and mugwort ( Artemisia vulgaris). We have seen both Salvia and Artemisia sub-species used in smudging.

Sage is burned in smudging ceremonies to drive out bad spirits, feelings, or influences, and also to keep bad spirits from entering the area where a ceremony takes place. In Plains nations, the floor of the sweat lodge is frequently covered with sage, and participants rub the leaves on their bodies while in the sweat. Sage is also commonly spread on the ground in a lodge or on an altar where the pipe touches the earth. Some nations wrap their pipes in sage when they are placed in pipe-bundles, as sage purifies objects wrapped in it. Sage wreaths are also placed around the head and wrists of Sundancers.

Cedar

There is some potential confusion here about the terms used to name plants, mainly because in some areas, junipers are known as "cedar" - as in the case of Desert White Cedar ( Juniperus monosperina). This doesn't mean that J. monosperina wasn't used as a cleansing herb, though; in the Eastern U.S., its relative, Eastern Red Cedar ( Juniperus virginia), was used ceremonially. However, in the smudging ceremonies we have seen or conducted ourselves, Western Red Cedar ( Thuja occidentalis) and California Cedar Incense ( Libocedrus descurrens) were used ... not varieties of juniper.

Cedar is burned while praying either aloud or silently. The prayers rise on the cedar smoke and are carried to the Creator. Cedar is also spread along with sage on the floor of the sweat lodges of some tribes. Cedar branches are brushed in the air to cleanse a home during the House Blessing Ceremony of many Northwest Indian nations. In the Pacific Northwest, the people burn cedar for purification in much the same way as sage - it drives out negative energy; but it also brings in good influences. The spirit of cedar is considered very ancient and wise by Pacific Northwest tribes, and old, downed cedar trees are honored with offerings and prayers.

Sweetgrass

One of the most sacred plants for the Plains Indians, sweetgrass is a tall wild grass with a reddish bas and perfume-like, musty odor. It grows mainly on the eastern side of the Rockies in Montana and adjacent Alberta, Canada. It also shows up in some small areas of Wyoming and South Dakota. Its botanical name is Hierochloe odorata . Some common names for it are Seneca grass, holy grass and vanilla grass. We have been told that a variety of vanilla grass grows in North Central California. But, how similar it is to the Plains variety we don't know.

On the Plains, sweetgrass is usually braided together in bunches as a person's hair is braided, although friends have said they have seen it simply bunched and wrapped in cloth. Either way, it is usually burned by shaving little bits over hot coals or lighting the end and waving it around, letting the smoke spread through the air. This latter method is how we were taught to burn sweetgrass in the sweat lodge - allowing the purifying smoke to get to all parts of the lodge.

We were taught that it was good to burn sweetgrass after the sage or cedar had driven out the bad influences. Sweetgrass brings in the good spirits and the good influences. As with cedar, burning sweetgrass while praying sends prayers up to the Creator in the smoke. High Hollow Horn says in the The Sacred Pipe "This smoke from the sweetgrass will rise up to you, and will spread throughout the universe. Its fragrance will be known by the wingeds, the four-leggeds, and the two leggeds, for we understand that we are all relatives; may all our brothers be tame and not fear us!" Sweetgrass is also put in pipe bundles and medicine bundles along with sage to purify and protect sacred objects.

Sweetgrass is very rare today, its territory severely cut by development, cattle-grazing, and wheat fields - and tradition Indians in the northern Plains are trying to protect the last remaining fields. The best way for most folks to get sweetgrass is to buy it at Native American retail outlets. This gives support to Indians who can help the fields from being depleted.

Smudging

To do a smudging ceremony, burn the clippings of these herbs (dried), rub your hands in the smoke, and then gather the smoke and bring it into your body, or - rub it onto yourself; especially onto any area you feel needs spiritual healing. Keep praying all the while that the unseen powers of the plant will cleanse your spirit. Sometimes, one person will smudge another, or a group of people, using hands - or more often a feather - to lightly brush the smoke over the other person(s). We were taught to look for dark spots in a person's spirit-body. As one California Indian woman told us, she "sees" a person's spirit-body glowing around them, and where there are "dark or foggy parts," she brushes the smoke into these "holes in their spirit-body." This helps to heal the spirit and to "close up" these holes.

Recently we did a "light" house cleansing for a friend. We use the term "light", for this is a relatively simple ceremony as opposed to some that are more lengthy and complicated. Our friend had some serious emotional and relationship problems, and he felt they had left a heavy and dark atmosphere. First, we prayed together to the Creator and to the spirits for help. We then, burned sage, purified ourselves, and took the sage to all the corners, closets, and rooms of the house. We pushed the smoke with our hands to cleanse every bit of space - lingering over dark or cold spots that "felt" uncomfortable.

We used sage first in order to drive out the bad influences. Then we purified ourselves with cedar and, then repeated the cleansing process throughout the house with that. Then sweetgrass was used in the same manner to bring in good influences. All the time we prayed for help in this cleansing. Finally, we took a candle over the whole house and pushed its light into every corner. The People of the Pacific Northwest Coast taught this "lighting-up" of a house to us. We've been doing this type of house cleansing for ten years, and it never fails to "clear the air."

One more note about smudging. It is very popular among many novices to use abalone shells in smudging. There are many Native elders who are pleased to see so many new folds smudging themselves, but - some are concerned that abalone shells are being used when burning the herbs. On the Pacific Northwest Coast, for example, some holy men have said that abalone shells represent Grandmother Ocean, and that they should be used in ceremonies with water, not burning.

We know enough Native elders in the Northwest, the Plains, and California who don't use abalone shells - but instead clay or stone bowls - that we don't personally feel comfortable using a shell.

In any case, smudging is a ceremony that must be done with care. We are entering into a relationship with the unseen powers of these plants, and with the spirits of the ceremony. As with all good relationships, there has to be respect and honor if the relationship is to work.

books to read and some of my feelings

As it has been a while since I have posted anything on here do to just trying to stay ahead of things here on the land. Have had some help getting another small wind generator up and this seems the way to go in the long run. Setting them at different heights and with the cost for a few small ones that will do about as much as one big one that is twice the money.
Had to get another trailer to haul the tractor with do to the mud and clay on the roads here.The one I was using was just to light.
Am now rebuilding a another one that should hold up to all I need it to.
I got out a book I hadn't read in a few years and I think it would be a great one for everyone to read that is thinking about living within a tribe/family.
Here I know to start with a lot of the dissensions will fall to me till there is enough people here to help with setting a council of elders and with re reading this book makes me think why did I say YES to spirit in doing this and with all the work and all the money I put into this as I am bless to cover all my bills every month but with this cold weather not much tractor work to help keep me going for fuel for the truck to get back and forth to town. Some days I wonder why I stay but with knowing that I said Yes to spirit and spirit will see me through this one day at a time I keep on going.
I had hope for all my spiritual family I met and played with around many fires would at least call once in a while but it seems once you leave a town where you played around the fire people forget to call as most are glad to see me when I can get back it is all this time in between that also counts. If I don't find someone to stay out here to keep a eye on the babies and feed them I am not sure when I will be able to come and dance around the fire with me spiritual family.
Now here is the name and information on the book I was talking about and would love to hear what others think after reading it.

Work and Play weekend

Letting Go
Treat it:
As the real emotion it is.
Grieve for it and with it.
When you let go of something you are allowing something to leave from you to the Universe.
Now you need to allow the natural flow of life and that is to grieve and to honor that emotion of letting go.
Sometimes things we let go are done from many different points of view.
Sometimes it is a love one or close friend moving out of our life.
Sometimes it is something we have held on to that we need to let go of in order to grow along our path.
Just sometimes it is something we just don’t need in our life any more. Nothing really bad or anything, something just not being use anymore and now we find we can use that space within for something new.
Now when we have done our honoring the emotion we need to remember to fill that space with something we need like love or something new we have learn along our path.
Most of all we need to thank the emotion for being there to allow us to express how we are feeling and the release of the grief or what is sometime called growing pains.
We always thank the Universe for the time of growth and the time left to grow, where we can keep on growing on this our path.

I ask spirit for tractor work for when I got back from May Fire and got it.
Open to all who are pagan & open minded 82 acres of sacred land outside of St.Johns Az. CTMT is a special place where like minded spirits will be able to live with Mother Earth.
More for the working class spirits who don't have much but have much love for Mother Earth. I don't do back ground checks but take you as the spiritual being you are. With working with spirit out here the true you will come out in many ways.

Have pick up more work for the tractor so will be able to pay someone to help so much a day when we work as this should cover, food clothes extra,)
Now you would need to be able to work hard 6 to 8 hours and some days more, four days and maybe more a week. Now sure how long this will go on but for now it looks like most of the summer and who knows where this will lead as I got others I do work for also.
You would still need something to live in, along with solar or wind power if you want any lights or fans running as this high desert but does get in the 90's and maybe a week or so in the 100"s.
Would be nice to have another female who loves to work outside to help with the tractor business. Also would love to see couples come out to live, work & play.
All are welcome as long as you sign & go along with the land agreement.
OBTW you can get in & out with a car part time & a truck full time.
Living on the land is a trade out for work in helping set the land up for when the time comes where many will not be able to live in the cities. I have most of the tools to do what is needed here on CTMT.
Now I Pray for the spirits to help with working the land for Mother Earth and to live out here and also a lover as it is time to open myself to sharing all this love I have from spirit with someone/s speical in my life.

Yea I am back on the Mothers Land now what a day to come home to Mother Earth., (Mothers Day).I Love you and thank you Mother for all you give and all we receive from you in Love
First I want to thank each one of you for making my trip back to the fire circle one I will never forget. THANK YOU ALL!
Also so the burning bowl will be put into the pyramid here on Mothers Land. And will not be clean till the sand blows out of the bowl by Sister Wind.
Now I was asked by someone special to do a ceremony this New Moon and that will be at dark thirty on Tuesday night. I will be doing a lot of what I have done before but all together in one ceremony and some new too. WOW WOW WOW what a way to start a new step in my path as I am bless to grow with spirit with love with trust.. I have talk with a few of you and you may talk to others within the fire family and let them know how much this means to me and the ones who have bless and honor me by asking for this. KNOW that no matter what time you send your support the love and energy will open at the perfect time.
Now I am asking for your prayer support on Tuesday night and that if is your will to light a white candle in love for the ones I am working with.

Replys I send may sound hard

I may sound hard when I reply to the ones who want to come out and help and live here on CTTM but with time I have learn that it is best to sound a little hard and then to let all these wonderful spirits come out and find out living out here is not for them or they are just not ready this time and need to come back another time after they have everything they need.
(By this I mean the way I just say you need this and that to come out.) For the ones who have ask and I have sent them my phone number please do call and we will talk about living out here on Mothers land. And you may just want to come out for a weekend or a few days the first time and see what you need to live out here. If that is the way you want go please come ready for a camp out type stay, tent or travel trailer. We are having lots of high winds this week with some rain (very little) and have some wind most days. One thing was I set up my wind generator right before I move out here and the first two weeks after I move out here yes you guess it no wind. With a few panels and a wind generator and the right batteries (six vote works best) you can live with all you need to be comfortable.

Red Tail Hawk and a Raven

I have been bless to see something over the last four or maybe five months that is a example of the love of Spirit working in all ways.
I have been watching a Red Tail Hawk and a Raven together eating off the same kill and flying close together. I have seem them a off and on, on the dirt road going into town, about a mile and half from me. Also the hawk comes by here once in a while just to say hi it seems.
So let’s hear more stories about animals that you have seen dong things a little different then we think of them.
If a Hawk and Raven can get along then we all should be able to you would think.

Spring Update

We a some what of a cold winter as we had a long cold spell of love temps that had a lot of water lines frezzing as so did the ones here. Got a back hole for the tractor now and I am putting it to work all I can along with all the others things I have for the tractor. Stuff got done this winter as I was busy most days but I forget what all got done and what all was done last year. It was sure nice to have a wood stove in the add on to heat with as that save lots. Working on getting a work shop done this spring and summer. I am still open to others coming to help with co care taking of Mother Earth.

Al Gore's movie has given me a lot to think about. Very recently, I have
read James Lovelock's book, "The Revenge of Gaia." The picture that he
presents is not very optimistic. Gore is right in saying that we have to act
now to ameliorate the effects of global warming. However, I think Lovelock
is also correct in pointing out that the balance has already been tipped and
that some very big changes are likely already on the way.

In the midst of this pessimism concerning the likelihood of an impending
mass human extinction and the forced migration of the population toward the
arctic regions, there is, nevertheless, also optimism. Lovelock says that we
need to shift our point of view from sustainable development to sustainable
retreat. Many of the solutions offered by environmentalists just aren't
workable because the changes are coming on to us too rapidly. We should look
toward the future with an interest in preserving and transmitting to the
next few generations what we have learned and what can help a newly emergent
tribal civilization to reestablish itself in a radically different global environment.

It goes without saying, I think, that the old ways of spirituality must give
way to a new spirituality that is friendly toward the Earth and that looks
upon Man, not so much as a steward and protector of the Earth, but as an
active, sentient, participant in a larger process of Life and Spirit that
Man cannot really fully comprehend in strictly scientific ways. Science is
not the panacea. But neither should science be rejected. It must simply be
tempered with a frank acknowledgement that, as much as we do understand,
there is more that we do not, and that, in a profound sense, the Earth
Herself understands things that we cannot comprehend.

There is a lot of talk, right now, in the news, about whether or not we are
in a war on terrorism, whether or not we are on the verge of World War
Three, whether or not we are in the midst of a struggle between two
civilizations, or even a struggle between civilization and the radically
evil elements of extremism and fascism that threaten such civilization.
But,in all of this, we continue to frame the new challenges in terms of the old
ways of thinking. A new paradigm for our understanding of the poignantly
human challenge of survival on this Earth must be nurtured. The real enemy
is not terrorism, war, fascism, or some other culture or religion. The real
enemy is our own inaction in the face of a global climatological
transformation that will change, forever, not only the very nature of human
civilization and the human concepts of Life and Spirit, but also Life itself
as it continues to evolve on this planet.

Hard times are coming for the next two or three generations. But through
those hard times a hope for a real change of the human heart is also there.
If we look to the future, having learned the lessons of the past, and if we
preserve what we have learned in books that we can hand down to the future
generations, those who survive into the twenty second century and beyond,
although they may find themselves living in a human civilization that more
closely resembles the seventeenth century than Star Trek, need not go
through the transformation in regression to a pitiful standard of living.
Out of great tribulation, even apocalyptic death on an incomprehensible
scale, a new Renaissance of human Spirit and understanding can be born.

I would like to think that modern Paganism and the green sentiment that
honors and respects the Earth, the newly emerging spirituality dedicated
toward the idea of Gaia, which has had its roots in both the ancient Pagans
and in the romantic counter current that has accompanied Enlightenment
and Science can open the way to a future humanity that is more at peace with its
Great Mother and dedicated, in their heart of hearts, to cooperating with
Her in Her wisdom. We do not know the plan, in its details, that engendered
our life, our intelligence, our civilization and culture. Clearly, in a profoundly deep philosophical sense, as we have awakened to the world andchosen to honor Spirit in so many ways, Gaia Herself has awakened through us to Her own self-awareness and to Her exultant celebration and joyful play.
Through us, the great living planet, Mother Earth, is in preparation for something, some stunning transformation that lies, perhaps, five hundred million years into the future.

Life finds its way, and, in the final analysis, Life and Spirit truly are one and the same thing. There is nothing preeminently only human about the work of Spirit in the Universe. This, to me, is perhaps the great chauvinism of western philosophy that can, and should, be balanced by the more deeply naturopathic tendency of some of the Oriental ways, in particular, the way of Taoism, and by the Pagan and Romantic elements of western culture.
Spirit has always been here, on the planet, working its miracles through the
evolution of Life. It did not wait for mankind to make the scene in order to emerge. Western philosophy has not yet comprehended this, and this lack of comprehension of the naturopathic basis of Spirit, grounded, as it is, not so much in human history, but in the universal evolution of Life on all planets where Life is present, has been the philosophical chauvinistic basis for everything to which we have attached the horrific labels of racism,
genocide, atrocity, terrorism and holocaust. Spirit, you see, is much bigger than merely human history. This much, I think, I have come to understand through my lifetime of study of human history and the history of western philosophy. It isn't history if it isn't, at first, Life.

Along with the deconstruction of the pathology that is so evident in the history of western philosophy, there must also be implemented the reconstruction of a new, rational and spiritual philosophy for all of humanity. This new philosophy must embrace the true nature of Spirit and transcend all that we have so far called religion. Western philosophy,
indeed, western civilization, needs psychotherapy right now. This psychotherapy is, without a doubt, the most unpleasant of tasks for a philosopher to undertake. The mistakes and the pathologies are exceedingly ugly. It is painful to me to have to study the history of the
development of nationalism, racism and the holocaust. I do not look forward to having
to sit down and read Hitler's "Mein Kampf." But, in my own self-directed study,in my effort to come to grips, philosophically, with the mess that humanity is in, and to gain a clear picture of what the cure might be, like a psychotherapist, I have to gaze, unflinchingly, upon what is ugly as well as what is beautiful in man's story. The darkness, as you well know, goes
with the light. The old reaction patterns and socio-political behavioral mechanisms must be deconstructed and the libido must be recathected, the archetypes must be reconstellated, into a holistic vision of humanity, Life, and the Earth, as mutual co-participants in the self direction of Spirit in its universal expression through all of that which exists without
prejudice against either darkness or the light.

It is all about the future now. And, as we so dearly say, quoting that great man Mahatma Gandhi, we strive, in the here and now, to be the changes that we wish to see in the world. The here and now is, as we so often stress, the place where we are, and it deserves our deepest attention. However, why we act in the present, what we do in that here and now, is for the sake of the future that has not yet emerged into its own presence. We have a choice
to make, many choices to make, about what that future is going to be like when it enters into its presence for us, for our children, and for the humanity that has yet to live and breathe upon this Earth. Let us work together to make choices that are sane and respectful, not irrational and extreme.

About my trip to the Land...

I’ve just returned for my visit to the Land of the Crystal Triple Moon Tribe and I wanted to write about some of my experiences there and lessons I learned that may help any of you planning on visiting in the future. I was very happy to visit and spend time with Crystal Mother Tamara. Her warm welcome and hospitality made all the difference in my time there.

The first thing I must tell you is that the Land is truly magical. The desert itself offers such a shrine to the grace of creation with the enormous skies, vast open space with little made by man to mar the view as far as the eye can see, and the incredible stillness and peace there. Looking to the east to New Mexico, just five miles away, as far as the eye can see you will see the same landscape that our Native brothers and sisters saw many years ago. The Land is situated on or near the Hopi, Navajo and Apache lands, and the Native presence there is very strong. I spent much time walking and wandering the Land while there, and there is much evidence that this was a regular spot on their nomadic journeys.

There is also very strong crystal energy there. Once I was there long enough to chill out from the trip and to start to sync with the rhythms of the earth I was usually aware of the gentle buzz I came to recognize as this crystal energy. That energy also manifested for me one night while there as hearing “the music of the universe”.

So what does it take to live on the Land? Let’s start with what it will take for just a visit. I think it would be best to approach a trip to the land as a backpacking trip. Bring just what you can carry and be self-sufficient. With prior arrangements made with Tamara, basic necessities such as water and sanitation can probably be provided. Food and basic necessities are available in St. Johns 20 miles away, and about 60 miles away in the town of Show Low you can find pretty much anything as there is a Wal-mart and Home Depot there.

About transportation, the Land lies 20 miles from St. Johns with about a 1/3 of that distance on the highway, and the rest on an unimproved dirt road. There is one route for most of the year when the nearby wash is dry, and an alternate route for rainy season when the wash is full of water. I was there during rainy season and a couple of times this wash was overflowing its banks and one time flooding the highway. The road back to the Land is impassable at times if there has been much rain. At any time of the year your mode of transportation will need to be able to travel this dirt road back to the Land. A 4 wheel drive, high clearance vehicle is best, although a 2 wheel drive vehicle and some off-road experience will work too, especially if you have things like a winch or other means to get yourself out of a ditch when it’s been raining. I doubt most cars could make the trip, although a motorcycle or other off-road vehicle would work once you got off the highway, so used in combination with a highway vehicle, this could be a good solution too.

An RV would be an excellent choice for spending some time on the Land but you would have to work with Tamara about getting it back into the Land depending on road conditions, weather, etc. Keep in mind that the Land is totally off the grid and so there are no hook-ups here. Solar or wind generating capacity on the RV would be necessary, as would a generator but you will see once you arrive that for other than emergency use, a generator is not very appropriate here. Propane is available in town and also a bit cheaper, as is gasoline or diesel, on Highway I-40 fifty miles to the north. I shouldn’t need to tell you that you either need dry or canned foods or an ice chest if you need to keep foods or medicines cold. Ice is available in town.

You will also need money. Either savings or an income stream you can work with while you’re there using the Internet, or even with occasional trips to the post office which is in St. Johns. There is also a business in town that does UPS and Western Union.

Internet access is available there, and here are the two options I found. You can get a dial-up wireless service from Verizon that works with a PC card you get from them for your computer, and would require setting up an account with them. Cost is about $80/month for the service, and I don’t know what the start-up costs and the cost of the card are. Verizon would also be a good choice for having cell phone service here too as I know that is what Tamara has. My cell phone did not work from the time I left Flagstaff until I got back to Flagstaff on the way home. Cellular One is apparently a major cell phone company in that area too.

Another option for Internet service is satellite. One company I know that provides service there is Blue Sky, http://www.blueskysat.com/ It is also about $80/month for the service, and $200-300 start up cost. I know Tamara is looking to change to this service at some point, so maybe you could work something out with her to help her get the service going and share the cost of it while you’re there. I also saw one Internet café on my trip, in the town of Snowflake 50 or 60 miles away.

One more thing, if you are going to visit in rainy season like I did, bring some mosquito protection. When the desert gets wet the mosquitoes breed quickly and they were very thick for a few days while I was there. I didn’t have mosquito netting or much else between them and me and I got eaten badly for 2 nights in a row. The West Nile Virus is spread by mosquitoes and is very prevalent in Arizona. I apparently contracted it from all the bites I received. I was happy to find out that if you are healthy it just manifests as the flu for a couple of days, but I suggest you be better prepared than I was.

I hope reading about my experiences on the Land will help you be better prepared for your visit than I was. I do web design for some of my income so I intended to be able to continue my work from there. But a weird unforeseen problem prevented me from getting online with my laptop so my plans about my visit quickly changed. If you’re new to living off the grid there are many good books available that will give you some idea about what the challenges are.

My visit to the Land and just experiencing the magic there has been a very profound stop on my spiritual journey. I returned from my trip rejuvenated, inspired, and with many new ideas. I don't know if my path will lead me back to the Land of the Crystal Triple Moon Tribe, but I will always remember my visit there and the magic I felt from the Land. Thanks Tamara for everything.

I'm on the Land!

Greetings from the Land!

I just wanted to post a note and let you all know I have arrived here at the Land of the Crystal Triple Moon Tribe. Mother Tamara has made my landing very pleasant. She has a very big heart and is quite the hostess.

I am so glad to be here! We are in Northeastern Arizona, in the White Mountain area, 20 miles Northeast of the town of St. Johns, and about 5 miles from the New Mexico border. The land is vast and the sky is very big here. It has been 5 years since I’ve been in the Southwest desert and I had missed it. I rekindled my love of the desert here almost instantly. The solitude here is amazing. I realize how much I’ve needed this.

August is rainy season here in the Arizona desert. The temperature here is very mild this month due in part to the rain, and partly due to the almost 6000 feet elevation here. Tuesday nite we ate dinner to a big thunderstorm that hit just before dusk and lasted most of the evening. It was the perfect floor show for me. I have missed the summer desert storms with their spectacular lightning shows. I’m so happy to have landed here in time to experience them.

It took me just a minute to adjust to life off the grid even though I’ve been around RV’s and offshore boats most of my life. But after a few days you start to live with the rhythm of the earth and the adjustments turn out to be very nice ones. Life has a gentle pace here. You move to your own clock and the sun’s schedule, and while we are making good progress on the work to be done, there is always time to chill for a minute and chat with a cool drink. The community is small, both here on the land and also in town, but lot’s of community building happens just in the course of your day. Evenings are spent hanging out, making food, sharing stories, and even a movie now and then. One of the challenges of being 10 to 12 miles from the highway on dirt roads is that getting into town is usually not possible for a few days after a big rain.

We walked completely around the Land yesterday morning which is around 82 acres. I had already done my own exploring but it was nice to hear the history and the vision for the Land. The Native American influence is very strong here as we are right in the heart of the Hopi and Navajo lands. I see many pieces of ancient pottery around the Land as I am taking one of my many walks.

We are not at full capacity with our electrical generating until next week as the wind generator had to go in for some maintenance. But by next week I hope to be making regular posts here to give you all some perspective about the work going on here and some glimpses of life here on the Land.

Preventing another Dark Age

I have posted the following in the Elders of the 7 New Tribes topic area. Many of us on this tribe are members there and some of us are not. It is for those that are not that I am copying it and putting it here. I apologize if it upsets you. I feel that the discussion it will engender is vital to our future. If we are to be the true Conservators of our Mother then we must deal with the darker aspectsof things as well.

We are met in this Sacred Council to seek Vision and act upon it that will lead us into a new and better world. I have been recently become concerned by the frightening potential for another Dark Age descending on the Earth instead.

I was trying to picture the transition to communities based on Bioregionalism that were "off the grid". Localities that were self sufficient and connected to the Earth. I imagined that this paradigm shift would come as a result of a breakdown of the infrastructure that is based on technology and mass industry. And then I started to get struck by the really fucked up nature of many humans. The sad truth is that we are both predator and prey to each other. We have interacted with and overpowered the Biosphere to the point that we have no other natural predators but ourselves.

When and if the system crashes, what can we do to create the kind of communities we would like to have without the predators among us becoming brigands and organizing into bands of ravenous predation? I look at the pattern of history and see this behavior repeated each time a mass culture breaks down. It has happened with Egypt, Greece, Rome, Sumer, Kush, Mali, Songhai, the Indus Valley, and in fact every other "Great Society" that has ever come crashing down.

In each of these situations; when the inevitable crash comes the remnants of the Military devolve into bands who are dedicated to their own survival at all costs. They are in possession of the Military devices and instrumentalities of the declining society and use these to carve our territories. The limits of their territories are set by conflict with other similar bands. In time these boundaries become set and given some period of equilibrium they in turn repeat the patterns that lead to the creation of the societies that they are remnants of. It is a sort of Pheonix effect. Sometimes there have been societies that have been formed by groups of healers or farmers in the periods of realignment. Unfortunately they grow to a size that becomes attractive to the Militant cultures adjacent to them and then the Militants conquer and enslave them (in the manner of the Healots and Greek City States).

If our current global culture crashes it will leave in its wake a level of Military hardware and techniques that will allow smaller bands to conquer disproportionately large territories. A brigade sized force armed with tactical nukes would be more powerful than historically Army Corp sized forces. Since we have sown this massive weapons store around the planet and since there is no giant magnet in space to remove these weapons, it seems a foregone conclusion that company and/or brigade sized forces descending into brigandage are going to conquer territories defined by their conflict with comparable sized forces. There may come an equilibrium in time but if we have this style of society replacing the current one how will we ever be able to break out of their grip?

This is the architecture of another Dark Age. Feudalism is perhaps the default state of human society. Although we are moved by and seek to find a paradigm of peace and harmony we are not the only people. When the cities become unviable where will the surviving millions go? They will diffuse themselves into the rural areas where we will be trying to construct our societies. I have spoken to our Sister, Crystal Mother Tamara and in our discussions we have touched upon the neccessity of being able to defend our homelands. The survivors of the maelstroms of the cities collapsing will be the worst of our urban population, not the best. The armed Drug Gangs and Paramilitary Racist organizations will be the only other constituencies than the surviving Military. They will either make common cause with each other and displace us from our lands or will fight each other over and on our lands. With no distrubition system or economy to set a mode of exchange the only alternative is forage and looting. The cities have no more than 3 weeks of food for their populations. After that is exhausted many will die. The survivors will be those individuals who seized the final stores of foodstuffs and medicines and lead the flight from the cities. THEY WON'T BE NICE PEOPLE.

Just like the current administration refuses to discuss and plan for Global Warming; and thereby leave us unprepared for it, it would be negligent of us to refuse to discuss this because it is distasteful and antithetical to our Vision.

All of the Ancestor Cultures and Societies had Warriors. The most evolved of them took great care in training their warriors in both the ways of peace as well as the ways of war. They made sure that their warrior elites were also connected to their Spiritual Traditions. They maintained an Initiatory Path for the Warrior and provided a place in their societies for these individuals. As we develop the Clans than will exist within our Tribal structures I feel that we must have a Warrior/Spirit Warrior Clan.

Roof is on the shade porch for the fifth wheel

After a busy week or so the roof is on where I now get morning shade to enjoy also where I cn have a place just to sit and enjoy Mother and all Greatness.
Am setting up a room on the end of the porch for the composting toilet and hope to have it up and going soon. Had some great help today with getting the roof on, thank you Jeff and your brother in law. Sorry bad about names.
Looking forward to this week as some great spirits are stoping in to see the land.
Time to get more done on the porch.

Getting the garden area ready for next year

Blesings All
Got everything ready for the water well as it is going in very soon. Have been working on setting up a small garden area for next year. Got the sand and dirt out and put in 6" of horse manure and then the sand and dirt back over that for now. Next when I get the load of black dirt in I will put down more horse manure and the black dirt on that and then lety it sit till late fall and then trun it over some and mit it up to sit for winter. By spring I will have the run off from the grey water system to it and ready to plant food. Not doing as much as I wanted to this spring but am getting things done a little at a time. One day they will be others here and the work will speed up then.

About who I would love to see come out to the land first.

Blessings All
After being ask a few things in the last few days it has me thinking about who I would want to join in on setting up this sacred space of Mother’s here in Az..
It would be nice to see couples and for me that can mean two or more then two. Just would give people someone to talk with other then me. I am a people person but also someone who can be in the quite a lot. In setting up I need help with the work so people who can work would be best to start with. I am not saying that I wouldn’t meet with singles that ask to come to the land, just for safety I would meet anyone in town after talking on here and on the phone before I bring them out to the land. This is just something that I know will work out in time on it own but just felt the need to say something.
I have to face real life as a single woman out in the middle of Mothers great land away from any towns by 15 to 20 miles. Two ways in one you take most days and one you take on raining days.
I am typing this fast as not a lot of wind today and I am getting where I don’t like the sound of the gas generator anymore then I have to hear it, to run power tools or charge the batteries when need be.
Hope this says all I want it to without sounding to hard about the ones who want to come out.

I found that getting a big computer system is a big mistake. They take to much power when you are living off the grid. I will be getting a lap top later on.
Also I am adding solar light inside the fifth wheel to save batteries. They come with small panels and the ones I found here in St.Johns are only 60 a set. Two sets will do all my fith wheel.
When someone finds a new way of doing things please post it here or something that just doesn't work at all with living off the grid.

Rainbow Bridge Meditation

The purpose of this Meditation is to generate a telepathic wave of love that connects ourselves with the center of the Earth, with the bipolar rainbow alternators that hold Earth's magnetic fields in place, and with all of the other planetary kin who are doing the same meditation. By establishing this world-wide telepathic Earth wave we are creating a matrix of communication which brings the noosphere - Earth's mental envelope - ever closer into conscious manifestation. This matrix also provides a protective field of genuinely positive thought vibrations meant to maintain Earth's resonant field in a state of harmony and peace.

The goal of this annual meditation exercise is to actually manifest Earth's Rainbow bridge
-the day-night alternators of Earth's magnetic field -
by the closing of the cycle, Winter (North) Summer (South) solstice, 2012.

This Rainbow Bridge is the bridge of peace long prophesied that will permanently connect the third-dimensional Earth with the fourth and higher dimensions, assuring a peace and harmony that will not be able to be broken. In order that all beings may participate in this meditation whether or not they have ever heard of the synchronic order, we offer this universal version of the Day Out of Time Rainbow Bridge World Peace Meditation.

You may do this alone or in a group - early in the day is best, but whenever you do it is fine. If you are in a group, gather in a circle if you can, seated on the ground or floor if possible, with your legs crossed. Take a few deep breaths, inhaling what is negative, transmuting that within yourself and then exhaling what is positive and purifying. Then close your eyes. Visualize that you are in the center of the Earth. Then visualize the giant octahedron crystal core. Four faces of the crystal end in a point along the North polar axis. The other Four join at a point aligned with the South polar axis. Surrounding the giant octahedron crystal is the Earth's inner membrane, like a drum resonating the surface of the outer Earth. The Northern half of the crystal has two red and two white faces; the Southern half has two blue and two yellow faces.

Now you go inside the crystal.

In the center of this giant crystal is an intensely blazing point of white light. An etheric column or axis of light extends North and South from the blazing center point through the tips of the octahedron going on to the North and South poles at the Earth's exterior. Around this etheric vertical magnetic axis of light, are two intertwined flux tubes through which plasmic energy is continuously passing. Coiled around each other like the two strands of DNA, the flux tubes are red and blue in color. They deliver plasma -electrically charged ions - to the blazing point at the center of the Earth.

Strung on the northern axis of this column of light with the two flux tubes wound around it is the red time atom. Around the southern axis of light is the blue time atom. The red and blue polar time atoms turn in opposite directions to each other, the red northern time atom in a clockwise direction, the blue southern time atom in a counterclockwise direction. The time atoms consist of seven points: a center point two points at either end of the vertical axis, and two points each -four points in all- equidistant to each other on either side of the central axis. The six outer points of the time atoms are almost in the shape of a hexagon, a six-sided figure

The gravitational plane of the octahedron crystal, emanates horizontally out from the blazing luminous center of the crystal, extending to the the four points that mark the edges of the crystal, where the four northern and four southern faces of the octahedron meet. The gravitational plane connecting these four points is like the base of two pyramids - one pyramid extends from this base with four faces to the northern point of the octahedron, and the other four faces to the southern point. Along this gravitational plane exactly opposite each other are two more time atoms: a white one and yellow one. These two gravitational time atoms are constructed just as the the red and blue polar time atoms, except that their two axial points are aligned with the gravitational plane, lying on their side as it were and perpendicular to the polar time atoms. These white and yellow time atoms turn around like paddle wheelers making a slow circular motion, counterclockwise, from left to right around the central point of blazing luminosity.

Once you have visualized the octahedron crystal core of the Earth with its eight faces, four time atoms, etheric column of light and two flux tubes, then visualize that from the center of the crystal a great stream of multicolored plasma filled light shoots up in both directions toward both of Earth's poles. Now you have gone from the center of the Earth to a point out in space where you are seeing the whole Earth. While you can still see the crystal octahedron at the center of the Earth, at the North and South poles the stream of light shoots out to become a great double rainbow bridge -the day alternator and the night alternator of Earth's magnetic field made visible. Two rainbow streams connect the North and South Poles of the Earth, exactly 180 degrees apart from each other. As the Earth slowly revolves on its axis, this rainbow bridge remains steady and constant, unmoving.

Once you have completed the visualization take the whole Earth revolving beneath the rainbow bridge and place it in your heart. Imagine the two streams of light shooting out through your central column above your head and beneath your feet. Now they make a similar rainbow bridge around your body, holding your aura in place.

Now you and the Earth are one. The Rainbow Bridge of World Peace is real.

There is a science behind all of this. What exists at first in the imagination, visualized by enough people in a telepathic wave of love, will in time become a reality.
