    NEW HAVEN

    Circus Fundraiser Event

    Saturday, May 31, 7pm
    Kehler Liddell Gallery
873 Whalley Ave, New Haven, CT
    suggested donation: $10 / $25 per family

Dance with live Klezmer music, partake of delicious foods, and enjoy a
variety of circus performances; all to benefit the upcoming tour of
    the Olive Tree Circus!

The stilt walkers, jugglers, puppet masters, clowns, musicians, and
story tellers of the company are planning a journey to Palestine
during olive harvest season this coming October. In cooperation with
the YMCA of Bethlehem and Al Harah Theater of Ramallah, we will work
in the villages with children and adults, building giant puppets from
scraps of trash. We will teach the games of circus, put on shows in
the olive fields and at the separating wall, and lend our hands to the
    work of the harvest.

Tax deductible contributions will assist with the costs of airfare,
accommodations, and circus equipment to be left behind with
Palestinian children. Checks can be made out to Rainbow Recycling, and
mailed to us at 44 Judson Avenue, New Haven, CT 06511. Thanks for your
    generosity.

    In solidarity,
    Ellen Rubin and Jake Weinstein

    BRIDGEPORT

Circus performers sought for weekly event!

The Downtown Community Council will start its weekly music and movie series on Baldwin Plaza tomorrow, Thursday May 22nd from 6-10 p.m. In addition to scheduled entertainment we're looking to build a weekly critical mass of performance and video artists on the green. Please forward this to family, friends, and those involved in the arts community that would like to participate.

This free, all-volunteer event will only be a success if we can get the word out. We want to encourage all to come out this summer and be part of a weekly "happening" in downtown Bridgeport.

Two blocks from the Bridgeport train station at Fairfield and Broad. Citytrust Atrium if it rains.
