Favorite Cookbook

What's your favorite cookbook? Mine is a Better Homes and Garden "New Cook Book," circa 1960, with a red & white plaid cover. Handed down from my mother, it's pages stained and falling apart. Irreplaceable! Great basic recipes, like "Banana-Nut Bread."

      moosewood restaurant - i fall in love with a new recipe every couple of months.
      joy of cooking - i haven't made anything that was orgasmic from it, but it has most of the basics

        Try the apple dumpling recipe, those are pretty great. I used pippin apples and frozen puff pastry; they were a hit at a dinner party I took them to.
