real gold is in our hearts

I was driving north heading to Eugene through some beautiful open hills. There were dark, heavy clouds to the east, moving off, taking with it that heaviness and releasing it elsewhere. To the west, the sun was beginning to shine through. A feeling of warmth could be felt, a lightness of my body, and clear mind and relaxed emotions, satisfied. Beams of light could be seen glistening with moisture that was suspended in the air. When that happens, rainbows appear.

And there it was.

I kept looking at it, admiring it. I began to thank the rainbow for its existence and began to thank spirit for revealing this rainbow to me. I love rainbows.

I kept driving, glancing and staring and admiring, gleefully yet trance-like in my driving mode. I was noticing how we were moving towards each other, the rainbow slowly creeping northeast as I drove north. It seemed as if our paths were about to intersect.

And so they did.

It was then that I realized that I am that pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. The real gold is in our hearts and uncollectible yet more abundant that I could ever imagine. We are all at the end of a rainbow, and we are all a pot of gold.

Its funny the way you describe the emotion you felt, it is like daja vu to me. I moved to VT recently , this past summer infact, and I came to a beach on Lake Champlain. I thought to myself this state is so beautiful and I asked at that moment if this is where I should stay, then almost as if I expected it , a beautiful Rainbow appeared without any weather condition to explain it or clue me to its appearance. At the moment I saw the Rainbow , I felt an inner connection to something greater, and I also thanked it for revealing itself to me.
Indeed we are all connected , Thanks for your story and for reminding me of mine!
    Blessed Be~*
