I was going to adjust my bridge slightly as it is not lined up with the neck just right. When I got the strings loose the bridge seemed glued in place. I did not apply a lot of force as I did not want to break any thing. Is the bridge glued down normally on a cumbus?

Re: Is the Cumbus bridge glued to the head?
Wed, November 5, 2008 - 8:21 AMAs far as I know, a cumbus bridge behaves as a banjo bridge. No gluing. -

Wed, November 5, 2008 - 11:16 AMYes it was not glued. I think the finish was not totally cured on the bridge when they assembled the instrument as some of the finish was stuck to the head. I was able to get it loose without breaking it and got it moved. -

Wed, November 5, 2008 - 1:39 PMI also suspected that. My cumbus head got stained with finish from the bridge.
