San Francisco Current TV employee on the tribe?
Here I am. Proud to be part of current, he first company I've worked for that I truely believe in and want to help make great. I will have my pods on the air - someday!

Re: Am I the first
Fri, December 9, 2005 - 4:40 PMSorry it has taken me so long to reply to your post here. yep, definitely the first current employee. I have not had a lot of action yet on this site. I had sort of decided to wait until I put something up on currents web site to really try to advertise this tribe on the editing and political tribes. A friend of mine, Greg Bernstein, lives with one of the main guys for current in LA. I have no idea of his name. I just know that there is this sort of artist community condominium that Greg lives in about a block away from the boardwalk there and supposedly one of his room mates is a big wig there.
I have started a project that I can see putting up on current but am at least a few weeks away from finishing. please let me know if you do publish something to the site and we'll make it public and then really try to stir up some action here on this tribe.
So, working for them, what does that entail? what sort of in house stuff is going on there at current.
I actually got interested at first when I went to the taping of a piece on global warming hosted by Al Gore. I am also wondering what is coming of this piece that he shot.
wow look at the date there, it took me a whole month to give a response here. -

Re: Am I the first
Fri, December 9, 2005 - 8:34 PMHey John - glad someone is watching out there.
I work in Master Control, but I have been shooting projects on my own and pushing to do more production oriented work with the company. I was working on a piece on Proposition 73, which I hadn't finished in time for the election and am now taking time to finish. I may try and incorporate it into a larger piece, even though the prop was defeated. It was the only insignificant downside to that horrible law being defeated :). Anyway, I like your idea for a pod on the Holiday/Christmas conflict. It is a shame you are down in LA and I'm up here in SF, we could collaborate sometime.
In any case, our studio, "The Chemosphere" is down in LA so keep checking the job board, and the let me know when you submit a piece - I'll look out for it.
