I agree, the new barbarians are everywhere, hiding behind foolish laws and an outdated legal system, fed by our tax dollars, living by sucking the blood and life out of others around them, exploiting civilization and human expectations of decency and kindness, often while putting on an appearance of being "nice normal people", and then hiding behind a ton of excuses about what a victim they are when they get caught.

While there have always been a few such people throughout history, the overall percentage of the population who act like that throughout the world is now at an all time high, and if you study history, such peaks in the presence of such people have always directly preceded major catastrophic collapses of civilizations. In the past they were weeded out. Instead we reward them, and have for several decades.

It is very much like cancer, more and more cells (people) taking from the body of the whole (civilization) and not only not giving anything back in return that is useful, but actually harming the rest of the whole and threatening it's existence. All while spouting of about their right to do so, such as the selfish losers who drive SUVS and don't need to.

That is very literally what the social and historic facts indicate when you look at the big picture of what is going on around us.

Greed and apathy on the part of the leadership and big business have combined with misdirected charity and excessive tolerance on the part of the overall population to produce a huge and growing percentage of the population who are not only not productive but directly predatory to and exploitive of the rest of the civilization.

Which is why I personally advocate the harshest possible measures the law will allow for all such predatory types, especially the frauds that try to pose as nice people and drain away time and money that could be better spent on things that would be beneficial to society as whole.

Animal abuse if often just the beginning for such people, as the track record of mass murders and child rapist/abductors proves.
