Several years ago, I hosted a dance and drum on Sundays in Powhatan County, Virginia. I stopped for a variety of reasons and am now interested in starting up again. I want to know if there is enough interest to do this at my yoga school, which would allow for a much larger, empty room than at my house. I do both SCA and modern raqs. The purpose is to share and grow as a community. There would be no formal instruction, but in the past folks have been great about helping beginners.

They are willing to let us use the space on Sundays 3-5PM for a $5 a head optional donation. There is no alcohol allowed, but snacks may be had in the lobby/waiting room. The main class room is carpeted and plenty large enough. There are toilets and a small space to change clothes in.

This would be at Healthy Life Yoga on Rt 60 in the Sycamore Square shopping center zipcode 23113. This location is a little more than an hour from Charlottesville.

The main advantage to this location is the size of the room, it's a quiet shopping center, lots of parking. However, you can't have a cookout afterwards as you can at my place.
