11/21 DOV + AUDIOVOID @ Shine SF :: benefit 4 Otto

Pronoia and DeckAde are hosting a special edition of Redemption at Shine this Wed night.

Actually, it just happens to be on our regular Wed night, but Wed is Friday this week and we're treating it that way.

Looks like Otto Schutt is making incredible progress toward his fundraising goal to cover medical bills. (See www.ottoschutt.com). With a community like this, who needs universal health care? KIDDING. But the goal has not been reached yet (as of this writing), so we're trying to do our small part to get him there. Wouldn't it be something if Otto woke up on Thanksgiving morning, and the $150,000 goal was hit?

$5 minimum donation is a small price to pay to get bumped around by special guests from MUTI MUSIC:

AUDIOVOID aka LayerZ
+
DOV

plus Redemption residents

DEX STAKKER
+
MACE

Shine
1337 Mission St /10th
21+
$5 min donation
9pm til 2am
About This
AMBIOTICA, an ongoing experiment in social flirtation and cultural stimulation, is our post-modern version of the influential salons and private clubs of the past. Word of mouth and limited email invitations are attracting this creatively cultivated eclectic mix. Ambiotica is an integral evening, designed to serve our shared aspirations for a thriving culture, to focus and amplify the positive intentions and actions that our community embodies. Participation in this environment of conversation, performances, interactive art, exhibits and film - fueled by inventive musical grooves and exotic elixirs and edibles - calls for elegant, expressive dress and an intention beyond the obvious FUN we conspire together. This is an event-in-progress and will evolve with our collective expression going forward!

Deeperworlds January 2007

“Deeperworlds” the new release from Mystical Sun is an expansive cinematic travelogue through a constellation of sound worlds, each filled with unique sonic forms. They are bound together by the common themes of vastness, transcendence, exploration, initiation, feeling and returning to the source of all vibrations.

The songs on "Deeperworlds" grew and evolved into distinct styles and expressions over a period of about a decade. The result is a unique document of influences from life and electronic music evolution during that period.

"I see 'Deeperworlds' as composed of scenes from lost forests, black holes, ethereal dream space, ancient epochs and other worlds." - Richard (Mystical Sun)

Upon our arrival "2012" announces the album with its expansive subsonic kick and journeys into an ethereal labyrinth of synthesis. Followed by "Blue Magnetic Ocean" - a symphonic hologram of flowing aquatic environments. "Halo" arrives at night with profound altitude and sublime depth. Just as you drift and begin to dissolve, a voice and a massive groove guide you to "Pure." Digidelic guitars return in "Cloudbursting," backed by a progressive bass rhythm as the firmament. We return to Earth with "7 Generations" evoking indigenous traditions, closely followed by "Ceremony" where the path leads to initiation. A venture to the "Ninth Sphere" transports us to a chilled hypnotic ambience. Then a feminine deity beckons us to travel with the Sun to be rebirthed in "Innerworld," while we transverse the Abyss. Bringing the energy down slowly into the void "In Between Orbits" vibrates with a delicious dubby sitar groove. Having returned from the source, "Dragonfly" flutters past with the organic simplicity of nature. As the phase shifts, we float into the tranquility of "River Goddess." The elemental power of water is conveyed through serpentine vocals in "Waters of Life" and richly textured liquid tones. Upon departure there is "Antediluvian" - a time to remember and reflect upon all.

In addition to a series of successful LPs, he's produced hundreds of live concerts, appeared in and scored for feature films, television, theatre, and radio productions.

In 1995, James Lumb left Ron Howard's Imagine Films to work full time on his music, releasing the classic Narrative-Electronic LP “knowoneness” in the summer of that year. The next album, “Together”, went to #1 on the CMJ RPM charts for 20 weeks straight! Keyboard Magazine credits James Lumb with coining the term “electronica”, when describing his music as a combination of electronic and exotica. In 1999, Electric Skychurch was featured in the feature film “Better Living Through Circuitry”. In 2005, Electric Skychurch was “shortlisted” for a Grammy for “The Erlking”, a remix of Schubert’s classical composition “The Erlking” (Elf King).

She has to live with it until her last days but I would like to have her around as long as possible. We started treatment last fall and are in need of more to slow down feisty disease. My mother will be happy to see all of us dance for her healing, she wouldn't want it any other way but as a celebration of life and spirit. So join us for 'Beat the Cancer' benefit to help mom survive and conquer this disease with grace and strength."

just thought I'd share a recent mix that djPush and I tagged out on Futurebreaks FM a few weeks ago.
http://futurebreaks.fm/music/FBFM-20051126-djPUSH_DJDov.m4a
and part 2 here
if you struggle with those links just go to http://www.futurebreaks.fm/
and it's all there too.

also I'm late on the mark, but you can vote for Dov or Push or anyone else you like at the Nitevibe poll here:

Youth at Supperclub on Saturday 11/19

There will be a great vibe Saturday the 19th at the Supperclub here in San Francisco with Youth coming in from London to play some deep dubby grooves and fresh trance explorations. B.Smiley, Ricardo, Goz, and Saturnia will also be spinning - and the party will evolve from a rich downtempo groove into a psy-trance space later in the morning.

Supperclub is a new venue in SF. It originated in Amsterdam, and is quite a striking multi-sensory environment. If you've been wanting to check it out, this would be a good night to do so!
About YOUTH...
Youth is a remarkably prolific producer, label founder, and collaborator with everyone from Alex Patterson/ORB to Paul McCartney/The Fireman. His labels Dragonfly Records, Liquid Sound Design, and Kamaflage are pace-setting with international dance culture, and his recent Youth in Dub series has brought him back out into performance spaces around the world. Kind of like those years touring as bass player of Killing Joke...

We are preparing to launch the new record label CYBERSET soon, and this event produced by Supperclub is a preview of things to come: B.Smiley is on the label (with Irina Mikhailova), as is Youth and Ricardo (Cyberset is distributing Dragonfly and Liquid Sound Design titles in the US).
