Sunday my Toby-girl caught a mouse - hooray! However my puny little Terri was back with her assisting. They didn't eat the mouse or anything, but basically washed it to death. I'm worried that Terri might contract something from the mouse since she is not healthy and is imuno-suppressed. What do you think? Should I be worried?

Tue, May 13, 2008 - 8:35 AMI bet your dog's fine - my only worry would be fleas, but that's probably because I feed my dog raw so I don't see anything wrong with a little hunt from time to time. ;) -

Re: Good dog!
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 7:41 PMPip is a mouse hunter. He catches and eats mice whenever he can....has for a few years now. The worst thing that ever happened to him was that he once got a case of tapeworm. Mice are probably the most biologically appropriate thing you can feed a dog. Small rodents are exactly what dogs are designed to eat.
Don't worry about it....your dog will be fine. -
