When was the last time you had to apologize to someone? and why
My financial aid and gi bil are all screwed up right now so I had to apologize to my landlord for not having rent. It should be ok because I usually pay off my rent several months in advance

Re: So Sorry
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 3:28 PMI had to apologize to my dog for stepping on her foot. She took it with her usual grace, but she is keeping a wide berth for awhile. -

Re: So Sorry
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 4:12 PMThe older I get the more I apologize. When i was young I sometimes saw apologizing as a weakness. Gradually I learned that--along with humor, listening and compassion--it's one of the most human connections we can make. So today I've already apologized a couple times for dumb things I did or unthinking things I said.

Re: So Sorry
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 6:19 PMI appologize for something or other almost daily. Today I gave exact change at Trader Joes, but then the cashier said I was $1 short, I said, no, it's right I have 4 ones there, and he told me the total and I realized I had looked at the total before tax and so got it wrong. I said I was sorry and added more money for payment.
Earlier I was behind the register at my own job, I said I was sorry to a customer or two. Returns past the return date on the receipt. A coupon that was two years past the date of being usable, etc.

Re: So Sorry
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 10:58 PMI think that most times we say sorry as to let the other know that we understand what they feel... sort of like " I understand you may feel a bit dissappointed and I feel bad you feel that way" I guess a way to show that you can relate...
But Coach I wish your landlord could understand where you're coming from. I never understood that cuz like you, I always pay a few months rent in advance just in case. I remeber one month I did run a bit late... would you believe that my landlord sent me a letter in the mail three days after the due date asking for his rent. I felt ... gosh I dunno how I felt. I thought he would've understood and said something like... "you are one of my best tenants, tell ya what, hold off this month and get your money right for next month... but know... instead I got a letter telling me if I don't pay up, I'm outta there." hmmm wishful thinking sure is sumthin' huh? -

Which seems to help. I sure hope it come through very very soon cause regardless of me knowing my rental management company I cant not pay my rent for much longer

Re: So Sorry
Sun, October 18, 2009 - 10:31 AMI apologized to my friend that found me on FB. In 1988 I left him stranded in SF because I was immature and closeted to my metalhead friends. I tried to make amends years ago but his mother told me a couple times he didnt want to talk to me. He said that wasnt true and he never knew I called. It's good to be back in touch with him now. -
