I really think that a majority of gay bashers do have isues with actually being sort of bi or gay. Im straight and quite uncomfortable with the thought of gay sex. I cant help it, its my thing but I have found a really easy way to deal with it. I dont spend any time thinking about gay sex. I just finished a six week renaissance faire and quite often heard criticism of overweight people who reveal too much of themselves in outfits that leave little to the imagination, often by folks who have a weight problem themselves. Personally, I don't care. They paid to get into faire and its their fantasy. These folks are often dressed as fairies, or trolls, or warriors, or tarts, or pirates. A few of these folks that were criticized were what I would call plump and not fat. Seems like prejudice.

I love Martha Stewart's stuff. Right now I'm reading her book on gardening, and it becomes apparent that nothing is realistic. She claims to plant thousands of bulbs every fall, reminding herself of the years she didn't plant any. Well, I planted about 400 one year, and it was a hell of digging and bending over. No single person could plant a thousand and not have a humpback. I want to meet her team of gardeners.

Her estate is immense. In one year, she planted 75 roses, and obviously has many more. I have two in big pots, some volunteers in the side yard, and a few minis from Trader Joes. They are a constant source of infestations and disease. If I manage to get a few good blooms to bring in for a bouquet, chances are they have earwigs.

So I'm wondering if there is a Martha Stewart "light", someone who takes her ideas on gardening and crafts and makes them doable for real people. For instance: in her gardening book, for October, she is layering real gold leaf on the pumpkins she grew, which she will use as decorations and soup bowls. Um, isn't there some way I can do this with a can of spray paint? I have those in gold. They would make nice, quick decorations. No one I know would eat soup out of a gold-leafed pumpkin. In our world, soup comes from cans.

This past August,my little brother Michael bought me a Sewing Machine and Cabinet.
Iv'e always been interested in Sewing since my Mom was a Seamstress all her life.
My first project was making a utility style Kilt from an online Tutorial,it came out "ok for my first stab at garment construction" especially since I didn't have a "Pattern" to go by (there are no Simplicity or Butterick's Patterns for a Mens Kilt)
My next Kilt will be better but my question is...how many of us are Sewists and are there any other men who Sew?

So, everyone on NPR is up in arms because Public Television's "Reading Rainbow" show was cancelled due to lack of funding.
I'm wondering if I'm an a**hole because I don't care. Even when I was a kid I didn't like that show. I loved reading. The show was about trying to imagine stuff you'd read. I always felt like "who the hell needs help with that?" I did think it was funny that on an interview with Lavar Burton (sp?), the former host of RR, perhaps more well known for his role on Star Trek, a caller called to ask for a pizza recipe that he'd given on Reading Rainbow. I can see reading was really helpful for her...not. She was asking if he didn't know it by memory, if it was perhaps available on YouTube.

So anyhoo, are you upset because Reading Rainbow was cancelled?

It was on the plane to Venice and and my friend and I ordered a bottle of champagne we were taking off and I noticed the guy next to her by the window had a massive pants tent!She kept asking what's so funny.... Later after we drank half the bottle and had giggled incessantly,I managed to drop half my chicken ceasar salad on the floor and my friend turned to the guy and apologised for having a stinky tuna sandwhich and the poor guy was clearly trying to study for a sminar or somthing.We must have been the seat mates from hell to him! Eventually though, he said " you ought to have strawberries with that" and gave up looking at his manual and we all had a pleasant chat....

......if an old friend you havent talked to in 25 years ( maybe once or twice ) started telling you he was a serial killer for Jesus? That he wanted to do you a favor and kill someone in front of you so you can witness their soul leave their body and go to heaven then decend into hell? I unfriended and blocked him. I'm sure he will call again. One friend thinks he's full of shit. I tend to think he's serious. It's very disturbing. I'm debating whether or not to contact his father and the FBI on this stuff. If I had a recording of two conversations we had yesterday people would shit a fuckin' brick if they heard it. He wants to kill someone to prove to me that God and Satan are real so that I will come to Jesus and be saved. And the person that he kills is damned already in his opinion and has no hope of salvation. So this makes it okay in his mind. The Holy Spririt is apparently working through him to save my soul. It's complete insanity. I was so upset last night over this shit. I dread his calling. He called three times within five minutes last night till I picked up the third time. I didnt want to answer because of a conversation we had had a couple hours previous to that. Now I just want to ignore his calls and messages. I dont even want to listen to the messages. It hurts too much because I was so excited to be reconnected with my old best friend. And now this this. Very sad. I'm wondering if I should contact the FBI though because it's possible my info could help solve some murder cases. But at the same time, I just want to leave it alone and hope he leaves me alone. What would you do?

These "Basements" as they call their locations, seem to be riddled with a strange yellow fluffy fruit known as the Cheeto. Though we have many times tried this local treat, none of us can stand the foul abomination against cheese and spend many hours trying to clean the strange yellow stains from our fingers.

It is my hope that yet another jibbo encampment will not notice our observation of their daily rituals.

My sainted mother (bless her soul) who has become somewhat pixie-lated and forgetful of both common and proper names for things in her advancing years has invented a language or rather manner of speaking as antidote. Rather than repeatedly mix up my name with that of her brother, since we both share the same beginning letter, she now refers to me as "first born son" and her brother as "the smoking one." My daughter whose name rhymes confusingly with our dog's name is called (the silent one) or the "the clam" because she is so untalkative while the dog is called (she who bounces.) Yesterday on the phone she couldn't remember "safety deposit box" so we agreed to call it "the box with the key in the bank." In keeping with the native american tradition of naming a child after the first thing the birthing mother sees after partum she is thinking of calling me "clock." My sister would then be called "mess."
Of course, these lingual excursions are undertaken mirthfully, but they actually work pretty well and dodge all those lengthy pauses fruitlessly hammering the brain for faded words. Her visual memory is still quite intact, so she can readily form a word string picture of what is before her mind's eye. She now no longer begins conversations self consciously worried about tripping up the flow with painful searches of names and nouns. It's now a game of seeing how clever she can be recasting expression.

Older or Younger?

There are issues with either having an older than you boyfreind/girlfreind or a younger than you boyfreind/girlfreind
I personally won't date the "Gay Twinkies" (young gay boys aged 18-21) or have really anything to do with them simply becuase I am old enough to be their Grandaddy(UGH!) and we have absolutally NOTHING "in common". Iv'e dated guys in their early 30's(I'm almost 53) but even these guys have damn little in common with a man old enough to be their father.
In my younger days I have also dated and partnered with Men WAYY older than myself(20 yrs older+)
So now I have a partner who is 12 years my senior(he's 65) and even he thinks and acts more like a "senior man" than I do,I'm still a kid at heart!

I thought they were going to through something at me. I was only on for two minutes giving part numbers then I was done. The old man said, "you shoulg go over there and talk if you want to use the phone" pointing back to the restroom and kitchen. I apologized twice,( I was in a good mood) but they still gave me a brow beating. The place was full of people eating dinner, it was noisy and I'm thinking, come on, this IS the twenty first century. But then, the waitriss comes by and says, "good thing you ordered a salad or your food would get cold because you were talking on that cell phone"..................ok, wtf?

I love my parents dearly. I grew up with two parents who still love each other and raised my siblings and I in a very rich warm and caring enviroment. My house was the place where everyone hung out because they al liked my parents and my prents all liked them. A friend of mine pointed out to me after a trip home that I was the only person he knew who came back from a family trip grounded. I say all this because I do love my parents

Probably a very stupid question. For most of my life I have drank very little soda. I always liked it. But always thought of it as liquid cellulite and toxic. Something that can make me diabetic. But with roommates over the last few years that drink alot of it I started drinking alot. Like 1 or 2 liters a day. Cherry Dr Pepper, Pepsi, pretty much anything. I find myself craving it. I had "nosey peeping neighbors" who couldn't keep their eyes off my swimming pool and on their side of our 6 ft privacy fence(I wrote a Blog about it on here).
I had to design a "privacy screen" to cover the fence and along the top of it just to get the privacy and respect I deserve in MY backyard from my VERY RUDE so-called "Neighbors"! Now my backyard is a "Nudist Oasis".
What's your backyard like,and is it private or not?
