friday i will be going in for some more ink...an outline, flames coming out of the sun already on my calf, going around my knee and turning into a phoenix on my thigh!!! i cant wait, but am a bit worried about tattooing on my knee!!! then we will finish it up later, should be pretty exciting!!! i cant wait :D

Tribal Ink

Getting ready to have 1/2 of face done is there a difference between the meaning of left or right sides?? Years ago like mid 60's there used to be if a guy wore an ear ring in the left ear he was gay and the right he was stright but that also changed from city to city and country also I have seen several pix of tribal natives with only half done would like to know before I get ink tat man is supposto start match pattern lines next week. Ok, so I want to say hi to everyone first off. I'm wanting to get my first tattoo with the next couple months. My interests, as far as what design I'd like to have put on, are buddhism, my astrological symbol(libra), ganesha, paganism. I was thinking about either a sleeve or a band with the omega symbol in it. So any ideas or whatever would be greatly appreciated.

hi there, #3 is starting in just over an hour and i am so stoked!!! its going to be a leo symbol with a sun outlined on the left side of it and a lion head on the other. i know...very leo of me...but maybe #4 will be the flames around my ankle with one kisssing the bottom of the symbol...now that is very leo of me...and i am so a fire sign!!! haha there will be many more after that, i have many ideas. right now i have a gecko on my shoulder and dolphins on my right ankle.

Hi everyone. Just joining this tribe and wanted to say hey. I live in Portland Oregon and have a small custom tattoo studio. I have been tattooing 9 years and do a wide variety of styles and custom proects. I like to meet for coffee or food (beer anyone?) first and show my portfolio, get to know one another before we begin working. I am actively involved in queer, radical fairy, pagan, and native spirituality circles and am also available for ritual tattooing.
I also travel the west coast frequently. (other places less so as flying becomes more stressful, expensive, and difficult)

About me: 24 year old. I am in the EPI program at New College. Going to some kind of physical theatre clowning school and then I will probebly travel for a while and perform my scitts I am a musicion and song writer and I am in to collective living and pretty much am open to whatever the situation is.

What's your next Tat

Well we all know how addicting getting tattoos can be.
I am getting a cover-up done right now, but I am also trying to think of what I want for my next one.
For me, I am trying to design what I want for a sleeve.
I was planning to get a sleeve done for my 40th, well that did not happen.
I Think I had the money, but not an artist. Well I will be 42 this year; I am hoping to get sometime soon.
For me I do not want your traditional Japanese designs, don't get me wrong, there pretty, but I want something different.
I got a Tat when I was in Puerto Rico. I really like the Shop in San Juan, I thought about having the same artist do my sleeve, but I do not have the cash to keep going back. I wish I did, its really pretty there.
So, what is your Idea for the next Tat??

I saw a great celtic piece that was a hot version of two men pulling each other's beards. This version had them pulling on each other's rods instead. Has anyone run across a version?

Also looking for art by Paul Karlik--formerly of chicago. He drew some of the best male images I have ever seen.
