This road has several such paint splats. Some of them are too coincidentally symmetrical for them to be accidents. This one, I think, is the first, thus it is probably real.

Ahhhhh...the ever redundant Jackson Pollock approach to paint. The 'road accident' technique falls under the guerrilla art category, which redeems itself by being free art or art for the masses not attempting to rise into the fine art category of museum or gallery collections...
The radial composition bounded by precise guiding lines seems to convey a message of restrained exuberance, punctuated by the paint can lid being left inside the body of action... Perhaps the message 'stick to the middle of the road unless you can't' is what the artist is trying to affirm...

It's NOT fun to drive through spilled paint.....I helped a teary eyed young lady wipe paint off her new car once.....we watched her drive through it after seeing the can fall off a truck....
