Hi Ladies
Just wondering how you are feeling now that the show is only 2 weeks away? I must say i am starting to feel a bit nervous, extremely anxious but still very excited. Its like the highlight of the year.... I know it gets bigger every year but for some funny reason it just seems that this year is going to be extra special.... What are your thoughts and how are you feeling?

Tue, August 14, 2007 - 3:23 AMI'm feeling a little nervous. Also worried about the fact that there are no more tickets. but I suppose that's a good thing...
sad that I can't dance but very excited about being able to watch and enjoy!

a little sad that we're running out of tickets :-((
a litlte sad that in three weeks time it will be all over till next year again........... :-((
excited about making more costumes, even if it is for next year's show ;-) -

But looking forward to it cause I think I'll enjoy it more now that I'm a bit used to performing...and I do love dressing up!

early in 2007 – “the studio show is on 1 September 2007”
choreographies are worked on, costumes are discussed
dining room tables get turned into sewing tables
midnight oils burn in the northern & southern suburbs
households come alive with a buzz and a bit of tension
not to mention scraps of fabric on the floor and lots of bits of shiny things
a trail leads from the front door to the back door & probably back to the front door again.
Ralo cosmetics, cheap Chinese shops, fabric shops – sales increase
choreographies are changed again, costumes are tweaked
people notice women doing strange things in their cars as they shimmy to work, arms waving ever so beautifully out the window
phone batteries get charged every night as the MP3 player mode goes into overdrive
AND THEN IT HAPPENS
1 september arrives!!!!!!
the gym hall is alive with colour and goddesses and mirrors and more colour
we have our three minutes of adoration
we are showered with gold and rose petals – befitting the goddesses we are
we celebrate
the lights dim down, the music fades
colourful dance goddesses turn into domestic/IT/teacher/admin goddesses once again till next year……………………….

I love each and everyone of you and I am so thankful to each of you for your love and dedication to the studio and to your inner goddesses.
the show was once again an astounding success and again we sold 1000 tickets. This year we were able to donate R4000 to breast cancer research and we had a brand new baby belly dancing troupe... all so exciting.
