<div>First of all, the most important thing, is that my website WILL be: <br/> <br/>www.akashawear.com <br/> <br/>Although I make DanZ PantZ (5 designs), and they are featured on the site, I also make several styles of tops, yarn and chainette fringe belts and skirts, hip drapz, and arm warmers and gloves. I needed a name that encompassed more than just the pants I make, so Akashawear made sense, since it's all things I would and do wear. <br/> <br/>Secondly, MY WEBSITE WILL BE UP BY THE END OF MARCH!! I've got a promise in blood (ok, not really, but just as binding) from my web designers that it will be up and running. We've run into a lot of snafus and have learned some lessons along the way, as new entrepreneurs do. We've got product shots, content and design. Now it's just working out the technical side of things (thankfully something I do not have to do!). <br/> <br/>Thirdly, the great thing about my products is that they are CUSTOM MADE FOR YOU, to your waist and inseam sizes (XS - XXXL and petite, average, tall, and amazon inseams!), AND you get to pick from my fabric swatch library for your very own custom pants! I like individuality and having my own unique costumes, therefore I will be only ordering enough of each fabric type for a couple pair of pants or tops so that you can be assured not to run into another dancer wearing the same look. <br/> <br/>Please keep watch for the announcement. <div>Yes, the rumors are true! The Afsana Sisters are bringing Sharon Kihara and Kami Liddle to MInneapolis for a 2-day workshop on June 28th and 29th. Each of them will teach a 3 hour workshop both Saturday and Sunday. Workshops will be limited to 30 people each, so don't wait, these workshops WILL fill up quickly! <br/> <br/>Cost will be $75 for 1 workshop, or $70 each if you sign up for more than one workshop. So sorry, it was supposed to be up by the first of the year, but after reviewing my photos of my products, I decided I needed to re-shoot pictures for a more consistent, professional look than some on real models, some on my dress form and some on hangers. Now that I have Holly Wood (my mannequin), I can do that. BUT that means re-making the designs I'm going to carry, as I've sold the previous prototypes. <br/> <br/>So, I'm hoping that will happen in the next week, then I'm giving my web guy a week after that to finalize and get it up. So 2 weeks! Cross your fingers! All growing pains of a new business. So far I've been bugging LuuLuu to model stuff for me, or putting it on Lucy, my dress form, which IS NOT conducive for modeling pants. They may appear very funny shaped and baggy, but I assure you, they'll fit like a glove, according to the measurements I post in the pic descriptions. <div>Creativity is a terrible thing to waste, and since I have a modest talent of sewing, I’ve decided to pursue that love. I am in the process of starting up my business, DanZ PantZ, a line of bellydance clothing. It will be limited run bellydance workout/performance pants (similar to yoga or jazz pants, but with flair!) and hip drapes, one of a kind fringe hip belts, and bellydance tops (including cholis, halters and more). <br/> <br/>I hope to make a successful enough business of this to support my dance habit (classes, workshops, jewelry, costume stuff, etc!), so I’m starting it out in a safe place, in my dance community. The support among us dancers is very strong, so I feel very confident in pursuing this endeavor.
