  Thanks for sharing that..this inspires me in some new Ereshkigal workings...It would likely be something I could see Her singing to herself down in the deepest deep...(and perhaps I shall...)...well.....minus...a few lines....

    Hi - I'm new to the tribe - thank you for the Plant version, I did not even know he'd done this. Gives me chills - although the nightmarish imagery kind of jostled the imagery I've always carried with this song. This is one of my favorite songs, ever ever, so favorite I will have it played at my funeral. My preferred version is the first I heard, by the Youngbloods (www.youtube.com/watch but there's another new one out by Ann Wilson of Heart, on the Hope & Glory CD; couldn't find a video but here's the page on Amazon for at least a sample:
