There may be "such a thing" if you believe in "such a thing". Personally, I'm a stickler for everything happening for a reason, even though sometimes that reason doesn't reveal itself immediately. This topic reverts me back to the pebble in the pond and the inevitable ripples that follow. We form our own potential through our own actions, and the rippling outcrops through the universe...so every time one of us "tosses a pebble" we are all touched by the ripple. The movie, "Crash", is an excellent example of this and it's effects on only a small group of people. Remember...we are all connected by 6 degrees of humanity.

Jung's idea of synchronicity is interesting although some people twist it in an attempt to control others i.e. Black magic.

I figure there's something going on. Probably has something to do with the fact that everything exists (all past and future) and is happening now! We are all the singularity.

I too thought of the Celestine Prophecy right away.

I think there are no coincidences, I think synchronicity abounds all around us. I suspect much of it evolves from our conscious and subconscious desire/manifestations. The more aware we are, the better we can manifest. I see them as moments of great opportunity for certain.

Deja Vu plays here too. When I start to experience it, I work really hard to go back to where I first had the vision/experience. I look for patterns of the first and second moment. I feel that deja vu calls us to be extra aware- we are on the path we laid and that there is a lot of power in the moments and days of its unfolding.

Trouble is I have such a memory for patterns, there are times I think things are connected more than they are, and sometimes I get suspicious instead of feeling inspired by the possibility. It is a hard balancing point sometimes.
