Another Good Pluto Moon Description

I stumbled onto this one day, while I was doing some research. It's a correlation between certain astrological aspects and depression. However, it could be looked at as more than just aspects and correlation with depression. Some of you may not want to read the first few paragraphs, so you can skip the first few parts if you'd like, and go to the "Astrological Aspects" section where it talks about aspects between the Moon and Pluto (and also Saturn.)

In any event, much of this I found to be quite fascinating.

Pluto Moon Archetype

You who seek to know Me, know that your seeking and yearning will avail
you not, unless you know the mystery: for if that which you seek you find
not within yourself, you will never find it without.

The Plutonic priestess is the explorer, willing to work with the dark moon
mysteries. These women are prepared to visit the Underworld, by counselling or
seeing or being a therapist, and will work in a psychological or more occult
manner.

Those Priestesses who have a Plutonic to the Moon experience the richness and depth, which
can only be contacted through the solitary, inward path and a willingness to travel
to the Underworld.

Pluto is the initiator into the mysteries of the unconscious and to combine this
powerful planet with the instinctual energy of the Moon is to journey into an
evolutionary cycle. How this journey is experienced is dependant on the type of
astrological aspect involved. The house placement will inform as to the sphere of
life interest.

The festering darkness of Plutonic rage – you know what they say: revenge is a
dish best served cold. This is a concept quite foreign to Pluto. When you
combine the personal nature of the Moon with the intensity of betrayal-ridden,
trust-loaded, love-hate issues of Pluto, united with the Moon, all these issues start
with the mother and most likely never end, even with her death. The matriarchal
Pluto/Moon mothers can be particularly poisonous.

Pluto is the archetypal destructive force, rapist, tyrannical father (or mother), and
husband/wife. In addition, he is the archetypal therapist, initiator and illuminator.
The mythic connection to Hades/Osiris and Persephone makes Pluto a
combination of feminine and masculine energies, but also a mixture of personal
and transpersonal archetypal forces. This blend of human and divine powers can
make for a fearsome realm to visit. Dreams and images of the inner world link to
the collective unconscious is one of the most positive Plutonic models.

Pluto Moon emotions are like a dormant volcano – they appear quiet on the
surface but underneath they seethe and heave with dark and dangerous tides of
molten passion. Then, one day, the volcano erupts out of all proportion to the
emotional trigger. Often the gateway to Hades is through serious illness, taking
you deep inside yourself to face your mortality. It can also be where we find our
immortality. In the Western world cancer and death are the two great taboos,
belonging to the realm of the Underworld. When we are faced with these two
mortal enemies, it takes a special kind of courage to recognise that the soul will
ultimately survive. I believe the women with Pluto Moon contacts have this kind
of courage.

Another dark emotion in the Hades realm is murder or, the desire to kill off the
old in order for something new to take form. Persephone has to be kidnapped
by Hades, thereby making the break with her mother Demeter. Time and again,
we have witnessed the mother who will not let her child go, and thereby murders
her soul. This archetypal re-enactment of a collective urge is often projected
onto a person who acts out an ancestral role. It may even be a sacrificial act on
behalf of the ancestral collective. The theme of the Bad Mother, the shadow side
of Eve or, the mother of mankind; the not loving, not caring, not supportive
internal voice, the critical voice; when a woman feels motherless and there was
no good mother image of unconditional love, the rage can be turned on their
partners or children, even on the self. This can lead to food and feeding
problems, addictions, depression, anxiety, all forms of neurosis, until the darkness
is faced. The challenge is to stop blaming others, to take responsibility and own
the fear.

Finally, Pluto Moon is an acutely psychic, metaphysical and sacred model with
links to ancient priestess mysteries. Those who do not understand the connection
to esoteric magic are frightened by it. The potential for healing is powerful as
manipulation of energies is the hallmark of Pluto and the Moon. The psychic
attunement between the realms of the Underworld and the Moons’ emotional
filing cabinet is particularly strong. The difficulty is harnessing the potential
power. Uncontrolled psychic energy can lead to emotional lashing out and cause
a great deal of harm to the woman with Pluto/Moon connections as well as
anyone around her. Women who are psychically aware of this power are still
called witches. The woman standing in her power manages this control and
actual miracles of transformation can take place.

Struggles with Mother

Recently, due to my new found obsession with astrology, I discovered that I have scorpio moon conjunct pluto. After discovering the powerful implications of living with this aspect and going as far as to purchase "Hades moon: pluto in aspect to the moon" by Judy Hall, there has been alot brough to my attention regarding pluto moons and their relationships to their mother.

Our mothers have been negatively described as "devouring", "emotionally Controlling", and "unescapable" to name just a few. This to me has been very unnerving, as more and more familiar characteristics have been brough to my attention. I always thought her involvment in my life was due to us being "close", but I'm starting to wonder if that's what it actually is. All my life I have had a love/hate relationship with my mother. Sometimes I can't stand up to her, because I feel like there is no way I can win. This is a big confidence buster for me. I am never one to back down from a fight, as I have a quick temper and I love to ram my point home until the other person goes mad with the thought of fighting me anymore, but with my mother I pay very dearly by being emotionally guilted and somehow I feel like I am the one at fault in cases where it clearly is not. I feel like she has too much emotional control on me... like I can't hide from her. Whenever I get angry I always say, "never again, I'm not going to let her into my personal life", but somehow things get better, and I crack, hence completeing the cycle. She is a very emotional person, and is almost like a bully. Most of the time my father has to attend to her and her emotions, leaving me with little bonding with my father. I am trying to create a better relationship with my dad, but find it hard because he is not emotional like me or my mother, and when there is a fight between me and my mom, I feel that he feels he needs to take sides. There have been many things that I deep down inside cannot forgive of her, times when I've needed her and she has let me down. times when I needed to be understood, and she has outright refused to listen. I have had to lean on myself inside many many times in the face of real psychological breakdown. in spite of all of this, we do like to spend time together, and understand one another emotions very well. She thinks we are very close and best friends. Although we may be very close, I feel like it has gotten out of hand, and honestly I don't know what to do about it.

She is a pisces moon, rising and sun. I am a scorpio moon, pisces rising, and virgo sun.

I need her, and love her, but all I want to do is lead my own life and get away from emotional guilt-tripping and control.

Surprisingly, Most of this has been outlined in the book , and it's been more painful for me to read than I previoulsy thought. They say that this has to do with my moon pluto conjunction, and that it is inevitable. That I will never escape this. This depresses me.

Does anyone else out there have issues like this with their mother as a pluto-moon individual? This interests me greatly, and to be honest I need to know that I'm not alone.

Most of us are sensitive, it even says so in the intro to this tribe.
I wonder about where people find sensitivities playing out
Today I was contemplating whether my being a very picky child
was a part of this. It translated into being very aware of food now
and knowing that additives make me sick

Some of these things are the sort of thing i think probably doesn't really damage my body
any more than anyone else's just that I am more sensitive in my body so I have to pay attention
Does that make sense to anyone else here?
Do you have other than obvious ways your sensitivities play out?

New here, Pluto & moon conjuct in 8th house

I'm new to tribes and was astounded to find this one which is certainly appropriate for me.
My Natal Moon and Pluto are conjunct in my 8th house, Saturn is also conjunct with the Moon but it may be in the 9th rather than the eighth house . Like a sandwich with the moon in the middle . I have a bunch of other stuff in the eighth house too . I'm 58 now and have had an "interesting" life so far. I don't dwell on the past but a quick scan of the posts tells me that traumatic childhood experiences may be common to Pluto Moon influenced as well as some eighth house 'spooky stuff" though I don't see dead people all the time myself .

About 12 years ago I encountered an astrologer ( Michael Mathews) who said people with significant aspects with the Moon and Pluto (or also several other aspects with the outer planets) had "Alien powers" or "Inner Child" aspects. These are supposed to magnify and intensify all the qualities of the house they are in. He also said they indicated things such as "Planetary Guardians" So I expect that many possibly most of the people here would be in that category. For myself , even though his info was a bit strange it seemed to explain a lot about how my life has unfolded. I still have the handouts he gave me but they did not scan well and I'm a slow typer but if others here are interested I could try to post some of the stuff. I'm also Gemini with Sag rising, have four or five retrogrades too.
do a lot of different kinds of energy work and crystal healing,digital art writing web pages.

I just want to say, that even though having a Pluto-moon is one of my life's most mysterious struggles, I wouldn't change it for the world. Everything thing that's come my way, hasn't been so bad after all, I've been able to defeat and grow from it.. And even though I know I am to receive more struggles from the heavens, I am comforted in knowing that I will always have myself to lean on when times are trying. In this way, I have made peace with it.

Brutal Past Life Violence?

For the past year I've been experiencing brutally violent and taboo dreams, that have disturbed me throughout the day. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I once read somewhere that having a hades moon can contribute and bring to the surface our "past lives" experiences. I just feel so... lost? Every time I try to talk one of these dreams out with someone, I scare them off. So no help there.

These dreams are nothing that I have experienced before. Only in the sense that some of the things I've seen I have never in my wildest imagination could have pictured in my waking life, too disturbing. I'm actually scared. And there is nothing traumatic that is going on in my life right now. So what gives?

There are reoccurring themes though. Always water present, in some shape or form. And the biggie: whenever I die (well I wake up) in my dream, it is always because someone has slashed my throat open. Although, most of my dreams are of me witnessing someone else's death.

I know this is a lot to take in, but I'm just looking for SOMETHING, maybe some insight. ?

I am a virgo sun, Pisces Asc, Scorpio moon 8th house. Moon conjunct pluto in scorpio, in 8th house. My saturn is also in scorpio, also in 8th house.

Thanks!

Greetings all....I have my Moon conjunct Pluto in the 8th house and I wondered if you could share some words of wisdom about this aspect. I'm a Capricorn-Aquarius with a Pisces rising and my moon is in Virgo. I have had an intense life with more to come I guess ...but I have only realized in the past couple of years how this conjunction has shapped me and effected me. I appreciate your thoughts on this.

Pluto In The Houses

PLUTO in 1st HOUSE: striving
Pluto in the first house indicates those who are intensely aware of themselves. Apt to be quiet and unassuming, these individuals also possess personal magnetism. Some of them choose to develop their personal magnetism to great advantage, while others allow it to lie dormant. Though they are likely to enjoy being surrounded by very powerful people, they may show little evidence of wanting to project a similar image of power themselves. Outwardly these individuals are often so pleasant and accommodating that, unless others make a serious attempt to probe beneath the surface, the intensity and depth of their personality stays hidden. When strongly motivated however, the energy and stamina they exhibit is fierce. They are highly resourceful, and can develop remarkable powers of recuperation and survival.

PLUTO in 2nd HOUSE: indefatigable
Pluto in the second house indicates those with intense desires. These individuals may focus so intently on attaining something that everything and everyone else becomes meaningless. They find it difficult, if not impossible, to give up one thing in order to attain another. Consciously or subconsciously, they tend to equate wealth or status with control or power. However, the real power these individuals can gain comes through their understanding that money and material assets may be attained but never really owned, and. . . that all things, including the amount of time and the physical body they are given at birth, are merely borrowed. Pluto's influence suggests the potential for complete regeneration of assets. It includes the potential for these individuals to experience circumstances that help them develop much deeper values and priorities. Other potentials include those who are more likely to leave an inheritance than to gain one. Pluto also suggests that by choice or circumstances, there may be secrecy associated with their income or assets.

PLUTO in 3rd HOUSE: futuristic
Pluto in the third house indicates those who develop singular powers of concentration, and are often very intense in the way they express their thoughts and ideas. As very keen observers, they miss very little of what goes on around them. Ability to concentrate their attention does not guarantee that they will apply it to scholarly pursuits, or that they have any real understanding of what they observe. It implies that they can present incredibly detailed descriptions of their observations. They consciously or subconsciously regard information as being useful in terms of the power it gives them over others. The old saying "mind over matter" is particularly true for these individuals. Though they may not choose to develop it, they possess remarkable mental ability to persuade themselves (as well as others) that something is true, whether it is or not. They enjoy secrets, mysteries, and intrigue. By choice or circumstance there may be some secrecy related to their communications, travel, siblings, and neighbors, or to their primary school experiences and/or their father's work or health.

PLUTO in 4th HOUSE: complex
Pluto in the fourth house indicates those who may experience trauma in childhood, most likely as the result of the death of someone in the family, or because of their physical or mental abuse by a family member. Whatever may have actually happened, or how they may have felt about it, childhood experiences ultimately leave them with a sense that they have no control over things. They have difficulty as adults in relinquishing any control over themselves or their home. Some of them may never seek to own a home of their own. They may be reluctant to marry, or find it difficult to stay married to a spouse who insists on dominating their domestic environment. Pluto in the fourth house also implies individuals who may not experience the full potential of their power and energy until later in life. There are definite periods (especially after the age of thirty) when they may have to start over again in some new enterprise or life style. Though they may or may not attempt to escape their childhood home or its circumstances, they find themselves returning to it again and again. By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy connected to aspects of their home or family background.

PLUTO in 5th HOUSE: risk taking
The intensity of Pluto is often very obvious in its influence on ego and creativity when this planet is in the fifth house. It is a strong indication of those who seek outward manifestations of their creative urges. They may not want the spotlight to shine directly on themselves, but they do seek attention for their creative outputs. No matter how modest or nonaggressive they may seem in other matters, they are sure to have a healthy ego involvement (sometimes vainglorious pride) in what they produce. Those who lack creative ability may focus their energy and ego on procreation. If these individuals are emotionally insecure, there is danger they will produce children merely as extensions of themselves. They may attempt to emotionally manipulate offspring. The positive side of Pluto suggests that these individuals seek projects and activities that allow them to develop the full potential of their skills and talents. Romantic encounters are apt to be intense, and these individuals may have to avoid a tendency to dominate the relationship. They are romantically attracted to those who are intellectually superior or have positions of power and status. Learning to understand and exercise proper control with respect to children, creative talent, and the pursuit of pleasure is the karmic responsibility of those with a fifth house Pluto. By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy or wrongful manipulation connected with creative projects, romantic attachments, or speculative ventures.

PLUTO in 6th HOUSE: researching
Pluto in the sixth house indicates those who seek to control their daily environment. If they work at home, they are compelled to control their domestic environment. If there is too much chaos at home, they may seek to work elsewhere, staying out of the house as much as possible. It is not a good idea for others to visit them unannounced. If their daily environment is in an office, they work better without interference from co-workers. These individuals prefer to work for themselves, or in a job that allows them to work alone, and where they are given control of their assignments or co-workers. They are capable of completely reorganizing their work environment and revising job assignments, often with highly successful results. Many of them possess great power of concentration, attention to detail, and formidable research and investigative skills. Other Pluto potentials include those with enormous physical strength and stamina. When afflicted with illness, these individuals exhibit astounding recuperative power. Pluto's influence suggests that by choice or circumstance, there may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to their work or health.

PLUTO in 7th HOUSE: circumstantial
Pluto in the seventh house indicates those who feel compelled to control and manipulate relationships. If they happen to have an aggressive nature, they are compelled to interfere with other peoples' relationships as well as their own, not always with happy results. The negative potential includes those who are victims of manipulation by others including their marriage partner. Pluto's influence in the seventh house suggests individuals who consciously or subconsciously want to gain the first advantage where other people are concerned. They do not have a strong sense of cooperation or fair play unless factors in their personality or background encourage them to develop a more even-handed approach in dealing with others. Pluto does, however, imply justice in the form of eventual retribution. Sooner or later, they are likely to get what they deserve, both good and bad. Whether or not they make a conscious effort to do so, they attract people who are intellectually superior or who have more power or status than themselves. Other potentials include those for whom marriage becomes a continual contest of wills, and joint ventures or other cooperative efforts turn into power struggles.

PLUTO in 8th HOUSE: investigative
Pluto in the eighth house indicates those who possess formidable strength and endurance; a truly remarkable life force. However, Pluto in the eighth house also indicates those with a dark side to their nature, a side that can cause cynicism and despair. Pluto's influence in the eighth house implies a strong sexual appetite that often plays a major positive or negative role in their life. Sexual urges can be and often are sublimated into other activities, but however they choose to apply such energy, indifference to sex is unlikely to occur. The ability to concentrate their energy and attention helps these individuals develop remarkable investigative and research skills. They are resourceful and observant, with great interest in human motivations and behavior. Pluto's influence in the eighth house indicates secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to sexual matters, legacies, debts, joint income and other resources.

PLUTO in 9th HOUSE: pioneering
Pluto in the ninth house indicates those likely to seek advanced degrees or specialized training in the belief it will give them more control or power. They want to separate what is relevant from what is not. These individuals may focus such intense energy acquiring advanced knowledge or particular skills, they develop little understanding of how to handle simpler circumstances and problems. If their interest turns to philosophy or religion, they may become formidable proselytizers. They may have particular fondness for solving mysteries, puzzles, and other challenging mind games. By choice or circumstances there may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to education, publishing, religion, politics, or cultural pursuits. This is also true of circumstances related to in-laws, a second marriage, or court decisions.

PLUTO in 10th HOUSE: political
Pluto in the tenth house indicates those who want to control their own destiny and as a result, are reluctant to allow anyone to assume power or influence over their decisions or the directions they take. It must be added however, that they may not develop this desire until later in life. If, for one reason or another, they do not develop control over their own life, it is likely to become a significant impediment to their ultimate growth and maturity. Other Pluto potentials include those who focus intense energy in pursuing a career or other long-range goals. Whether or not they gain power and status themselves, they seem able to attract the attention and association of those who do. By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to a parent (usually the father), their career, or the amount of public influence these individuals possess.

PLUTO in 11th HOUSE: fulfilling
Pluto in the eleventh house indicates those whose central theme in life is analyzing what makes them happy. To accommodate what may be an intense desire to find true happiness, they make a completely new beginning with new friends and if possible, in a new environment. The fresh start they attempt may be successful, but if it merely represents a desire to run away from unresolved problems or unsatisfactory relationships, they are certain to fail. By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy and hidden control or manipulation related to the role they play in the lives of others, as child, parent, sibling, lover, spouse, or friend. Understanding the necessity of directing energy away from the self and toward a relationship or group effort, being able to work as part of a group instead of dominating it, and focusing on common goals rather than emphasizing differences are what give ultimate influence and power to those with an eleventh house Pluto.

PLUTO in 12th HOUSE: isolating
Pluto in the twelfth house indicates those who are keenly alert to their dreams, subconscious mind, and psychic energy. Many of these individuals pursue their understanding in these things in order to gain the hidden strength and power that comes from such awareness. Other potentials for Pluto's twelfth house influence include those who are involved in secret activities, and those who learn to sublimate their physical desires into mystical experiences. Whether or not they get involved in the occult or subconscious mind, most of these individuals are intensely private. They prefer to exercise their influence behind the scenes, and they may deliberately hide their monetary assets and other resources. They may actively seek a solitary existence. Pluto's influence also indicates those whose marriage partner may work in research and development, the funeral business, or areas that involve secrecy or managing public resources.

Good Pluto moon description of childhood and parents

I read this in a book recently about the parents and background of those with a scorpio moon but i think it is relevant for anyone with any kind of pluto moon. My own moon is in scoprio, but as I say it has relevance for anyone with a pluto, as my two brothers aslo both have pluto moons, one square pluto (leo moon), one quincunx pluto (gemini moon).

I felt it was....eerily accurate in parts esp about there being deaths in the family..there were 3 in my family between when I was 6months to 2 years old.....let me know what you think....

" There is evidence that your birth brought a problem to your parents. Many lunar Scorpions are born into some kind of 'inconvenient' situation and are adopted soon after birth. On the other hand some of you are born into families who already have a number of children and dont really want anymore. There is no doubt you are on a different wavelength ( possibly even a diffrent planet ) to that of your parents and you will have been completely misunderstood as a child. Your experience may have been poor because you were not really the type of child they were hoping for or that you were compared unfavourably to another child in the family.

You could, at the worst end of the spectrum, been bullied by your parents, subject to violence, sexual abuse or just made to feel thoroughly inadequate. You may have been told, or given the silent implication that you could never live up to their exalted standards. Negative attitudes die hard in fixed signs and you could, if not careful, go through live never shaking off the hatred and anger of your childhood. You may still feel yourself to be nuisance to others and wonder why they put up with you. Nevertheless many lunar Scorpios do love their somewhat inadequate parents very much and take a very caring if rather dutiful attitude to them later in their lives.

One peculiarity associated with either the sun or moon in scorpio is there could be a death in the family at the time of your birth or soon after."

So let me know is any of this rings true for anyone else

Thanks

Intuition Questionairre

This may be a bit involved, but I find the topic fascinating. Most pluto-moons that I have encoutered report heightened intuitive abilites.
Inutition can be a subjective word~ I am speaking of the type of intuition in which one receives or "knows" information instinctively. Or a stong sense of empathy in which one know what another is feeling/thinking regardless of what they are saying.
If this questionairre is not to your liking, feel free to simply add your own response!
Freedom rules.

1. As a Plutonian-Lunar person, what have your experiences been with intutition?

2. Has your intuitive radar changed throughout your life?

3. Do you feel that your intuition is stronger than most others?

4. How well can you tell the difference between intuition and the projection of your fears/desires?

5. Have you used your intuitive abilites to help, harm or heal others?

6. Is your inutition stronger with those who are closer to you? If so, does a positive or negative relationship change your abilties?

7. In what way do you experience your intuition through your body or senses?

8.

Moon - Pluto Wisdom

This is a great site... I seem to always come back to it!!! http://koti.mbnet.fi/neptunia/essays/mpforg1.htm

I sometimes wonder why everyone thinks that people with Trines and Sextiles have it easy... as though we got a stay out of jail card in life.... I really don't fit in this tribe, as I only got Moon Sextile Pluto... Though the outer planets and the Moon do play a large part in my chart!

(maybe because the abundance of planets in Cancer and Scorpio... and undertones of Neptune/12th/7th...Uranus square Asc)

Happiness is Forgetting
~ Moon-Pluto Wisdom ~
Memories are meant to fade, Lenny. They're designed that way for a reason. - Angela Basset (Moon conjunct Pluto)
For Kierkegaard (Moon in Cancer) living in memories was the perfect life, because memories nourish us more than any reality. According to Kierkegaard in memories we find safety we can't find in real life. But for many of us it is just the opposite: the memories are the hardest thing in our lives... I remember a TV-program in which a man asked another whether he had any negative childhood memories. The man looked baffled: Are there any other kind? He must have had a Moon-Pluto configuration lurking somewhere.

"The capacity to forget is a gift of grace...", wrote Dietrich Bonhoeffer (Moon conjunct Pluto). Instead of finding their happiness in memories, some Moon-Plutonians can stand almost anything in their lives except their memories; shutting out all their memories is the only way for them to live without constant pain. Most of them learn at some stage of their lives that they need an ability to forget. And that forgetting isn't a bad thing in itself. Laurens van der Post (Moon conjunct Pluto in dwads) wrote how he learned in Africa from the natural peoples that there really is a positive aspect to 'forgetting'. For most Moon-Plutonians there truly is.

BLOCKING THE PAST OUT ?

In the memory of oppression, oppression perpetuates itself. The scar does the work of the wound. That is the real tragedy: that injustice retains the power to distort long after it has ceased to be real. It is a posthumous victory for the oppressors ... - Leon Wieseltier, Scar Tissue.

Many strong Moon-Plutonians have lived through such horrible experiences that their only way to keep their sanity is to find a way of escape, at least emotionally and mentally, if not physically. Nature comes sometimes to their help: Those who have lived through tremendous suffering in their childhood may have a spontaneous loss of many of their childhood memories, some Moon-Plutonians lose all their memories - and find it to be one of their greatest blessings.

Irene with her Moon conjunct Pluto on IC had a very unstable home environment: an over-possessive and devouring mother and frequent changes of residence. As a small child Irene felt so insecure that she used to gather all her personal things under her mattress apparently hoping that this way she would still see them in the morning. All her sufferings left Irene without any memories of her childhood, she doesn't even have any dreams about her family. In her first memories Irene is already over ten years old - and even those memories are all about things happening somewhere else, not in her home. Everything about her home and family is just a big black blur.

Yet Irene is sure that in her case it is not a question of an amnesia in the ordinary sense. She believes that in her mind there isn't any memory traces at all, and that there never were. All the horrors of her childhood drove her so much "out of her consciousness" that most of the time she wasn't present at all. Thus there couldn't be any memories. In addition to her Moon-Pluto Irene has a very strong and afflicted Neptune, which may well reflect her experience of being able to escape hardships by distancing herself so totally out of the situation that in her mind she was somewhere else. She was living deep within, in inner worlds, yet she was not autistic. No one on her surroundings saw her mind travels, others saw her as quite normal.

Irene may well be right in claiming that there aren't any memory traces in her mind. Some scientific researchers have come to a conclusion that in some severe long-standing trauma cases some part of the brain (hippocampus, I think) may have been so completely shut down by the stress that it had no capacity to form a memory during the event, thus it will always be impossible to "dredge up a conscious memory of the event". If no memory was formed, no memory can be recovered. It is quite likely that many such cases, just like Irene, have strong Pluto and Neptune configurations, probably influencing the Moon, the IV house and/or the IC. Mercury is also often involved.

It is often said that Pluto on the Moon 'kills' the feelings, but perhaps Pluto doesn't kill your feelings, it just kills those feelings that are not yours at all. If your personal feelings have got too mixed up with collective feelings, Pluto may kill the feelings until you somehow manage to extricate yourself from the collective emotional energies that prevent you from experiencing your own feelings. Betty Lundsted writes about Moon-Pluto conjunction saying that "with a littler effort, anyone can begin to recall early childhood memories". Perhaps most people could, but why should everyone. Some childhoods are best forgotten - and there may be childhoods like Irene's without any true memories to recall...

LIVING IN FUTURE

A retentive memory is a good thing, but the ability to forget is the true token of greatness.- Elbert Hubbard (Moon trine Pluto)

The best memories are those we have forgotten, wrote Alfred Capus (Moon sextile Pluto). Memories are a way of re-living something. For a Moon-Plutonian it can mean reliving all those horrors many times over, thus meeting constantly people that once tortured you and made you suffer excruciatingly. Because of a vulnerability created when you had yet no power to resist, all those past figures may still have the power to torture you or to bring you down. Life in some horror families may have been so oppressing that having no memories is what you need to live on. Memory loss is then nature's way to heal and to protect someone living in overwhelming conditions.

Yet, although you can shut memories out - or even prevent them from forming to begin with - you can't shut all the pain out, it has to be dealt with. Moon-Plutonians often act as psychic sponges, they feel everything that is going around them. They even may assume symptoms of other people. And it often seems to be their unavoidable fate that whenever there is a crisis situation somewhere, Moon-Plutonians will also be there. Perhaps it is because after having worked through their own pain, they have developed special talents for understanding and solving crisis situations in others' lives.

There are many ways of dealing with the pain, diving deep into memories isn't the best way for everyone. Moon-Plutonians may have no memories. And even if they have, those memories might just open their psyches to the influence of a destructive family daimon. And thus make them once again vulnerable to all those past horrors. Instead, they need to learn how to rise above it all, which may be quite difficult because their family may feel threatened and thus unwilling to loosen the grip of their very own burden bearer.

Some Moon-Plutonians go to therapy - or even become therapists themselves. Others learn to handle their pain through a religious or spiritual vocation. Some learn to turn their past horrors and sufferings to creative power working through their pain in their creative work. At this stage psychic practices - like reliving their past incarnations - may prove very dangerous and also unreliable. The information allegedly coming from the Moon-Plutonian's past, might come from other sources, even from the unconscious of their torturers.

A long-standing trauma often creates strong unconscious psychic links in the victim - which will die in time if you let them be. But not if you open up doors voluntarily. There is always a reason why nature closes doors, and it's seldom wise to go against nature. And with Moon-Pluto it may not be necessary either: Moon-Plutonians have such deep insights that they would probably learn very little from reliving the past. They have lived the pain through thousand times already, getting clear memory pictures would just activate that pain.

What's gone and what's past help, should be past grief. -William Shakespeare

Psyche ~ the mythology

image http://www.johnwaterhouse.com/paintings/images/waterhouse_psyche_entering_cupids_garden.jpg

The goddess Venus, jealous of the outstandingly beautiful mortal Psyche, asked her son Cupid to cause Psyche to fall in love with the vilest wretch alive. Cupid agreed.

When all continued to admire and praise Psyche's beauty but none desired her as a wife, Psyche's parents consulted an oracle which told them to set Psyche in mourning garments on top of a nearby peak as Psyche was destined for no mortal lover but for a monster who held even gods in thrall. So it was done. But then Zephyrus, the west wind, carried Psyche away to a fair valley and a magnificent palace where she was attended by invisible servants until night fell and in the darkness of night the promised bridegroom arrived and the marriage was consummated. The bridegroom visited her only by night and refused to let himself be seen.

The mysterious bridegroom even allowed Zephyrus to take Psyche back to her sisters and bring all three down to the palace during the day, only warning that Psyche should not listen to any argument that she should try to discover his true form. The two sisters, jealous of Psyche, returned, jumping down from that peak so that Zephyrus had to bear them up gently or let them die. The sisters told Psyche, then pregnant, that rumor was that she had married a great serpent who would devour her and her unborn child when her time came. They urged Psyche to conceal a knife and oil lamp in the bedchamber, to wait till her husband was asleep, and then to light the lamp and slay him at once if it was as they said. Psyche followed their advice. In the light of the lamp Psyche recognized the fair form on the bed as the god Cupid himself, but a drop of oil fell from Psyche's lamp and scalded Cupid. Cupid awoke and flew off with Psyche clinging to him until she could hold on no longer and fell to the earth, whereupon Cupid chastised Psyche for disobeying his charge though he himself had ignored his own mother's command, had descended from heaven to love her, had wounded himself with his own arrow.

The god Pan, who was nearby, advised Psyche to seek to regain Cupid's love through service.

Psyche returned to her old home and told her two, jealous, elder sisters what had happened; they rejoiced secretly and each separately attempted to return to the valley hoping for the love of the god, but this time Zephyrus did not bear them and they fell to their deaths.

Psyche searched far and wide for her lover, finally stumbling into a temple to Ceres where all was in slovenly disarray. As Psyche was sorting and clearing, Ceres appeared, but refused any help but advice, saying Psyche must call directly on Venus. Psyche next called on Juno in her temple, but Juno said the same. So Psyche found a temple to Venus and entered it. Venus damned Psyche as a whore but did accept her service and ordered Psyche to separate all the grains in a large basket of mixed kinds before nightfall. An ant took pity on Psyche and with its ant companions separated the grains for her. Venus was outraged at her success and told her to go to a field where golden sheep grazed and get some golden wool. A voice from a reed in a river told Psyche that the sheep were vicious and strong and would kill her, but if she waited until noontime, the sheep would go to the shade on the other side of the field and sleep; she could pick the wool that stuck to the branches and bark of the trees. Venus next asked for water from the Styx and Cocytus flowing from a cleft that was impossible for a mortal to attain and was also guarded by great serpents. This time an eagle performed the task for Psyche. Venus, outraged at Psyche's survival, claimed that the stress of caring for her son, depressed and ill as a result of Psyche's unfaithfulness, had caused her to lose some of her beauty. Psyche was to go to Hades and ask Proserpina, the queen of the underworld, for a bit of her beauty in a box that Venus gave to Psyche. Psyche decided that the quickest way to the underworld would be to throw herself off some high place and die and so she climbed to the top of a tower. But the tower itself spoke to her and told her the route through Tanaerum that would allow her to enter the underworld alive and return again, as well as telling her how to get by Cerberus by throwing him a sop and Charon by paying him an obol and how to avoid other dangers on the way there and back. Psyche followed the orders explicitly and ate nothing while beneath the earth.

But when Psyche had got out of the underworld, she decided to open the box and take a little bit of the beauty for herself. Inside she could see no beauty, rather an infernal sleep arose from the box and overcame her. Cupid, who had forgiven Psyche, flew to her, wiped the sleep from her face, put it back in the box, and sent her back on her way. Then Cupid flew to heaven and begged Zeus to aid them. Zeus called a full and formal Council of the gods (which parodies a meeting of the Greek senate), declared it was his will that Cupid might marry Psyche, told Venus that it would be respectable matrimony, had Psyche fetched to heaven, and gave her a drink of immortality.

The offspring of the marriage was Voluptas, that is, 'Pleasure'.

Black Dakini ~The Dark Face of the Void

I am the black dakini, goddess of the Void
I am the night sky empty of stars
the lake without reflections
When I take on human form, I am wrathful in appearance
With skin and hair that is blue-black
And jewelry that is of jet and ebony

In a sky of deep sapphire blue
I sit on a lotus with petals of gold,
and a center of black velvet
When I have two hands, I hold the vajra and bell
When I have four hands, I also hold the noose and the goad
In my six armed form, I add the axe and the mala.

My true form is in the depths of space,
The vast reaches of silence
But with the sound of HUM I emerge,
in the form of a spinning black vajra edged in gold
Around me are HUMS like beads on a string
Spinning, exploding, shooting blue pearls of light
in every direction.

I am called by many names.
As Nairatmya, I am the dark face of the Void
the waves upon the lightless ocean
I am the crow-headed goddess, flying high
my feathers in black, green, blue, and purple
I am the black goddess of death
holding the world in my arms
as I return to the deep waters
I am the mother who brings forth children from dark nothingness
who watches their lives and their deaths.

I am a wrathful emanation of Vajra Dakini,
she of rainbow crystal
Yet I am also her origin out of the dark void.
I dance with my bhairava
to the drumbeats of the heart of the universe
And from our dance come millions of whirling comets
Who form the guardians of the vajra worlds
When the dance is stopped, the comets return
And the universe is re-absorbed into our footsteps.

I create from the void and call things back to return
I tear apart form and attachment
My nails tear bonds to ribbons
which dance in the winds of prana
Those are my prayer-flags, and the banners of my warriors
They scatter the shreds of karma
before the winds of the Void
To create the dances of the worlds

I may be of help to the aspirant, but I am dangerous
For I will take away all he possesses
If he gives them up gladly,
we will dance together in their ashes
But if he clings to them
He will lose his mind and his heart.

I seek only beings ready for full liberation
Leave all behind and we will find beauty
In the emptiness that remains.

Resubmit it a different form…

Pluto Conj, Uranus. Pluto is the top of a kite.
10th H-Virgo.
8th-H Cancer Venus(right point)
Scorpio-12 H-Nep conj Asc (left point)
Pisces 4th-H Chiron(bottom point)

Pluto Squared 7th house 0.28* Gemini Moon.
Astro.com says:
{Moon Square Pluto @ 9* orb so a bit wide.. But I feel somewhat applies..

This aspect means that your emotions are often so intense that you seem to be at their mercy. When you are with people you like a lot, you easily become jealous and you may try to control those you love for fear of losing them. Of course, that is the fastest way to lose them, so you should try to trust the people you love and let them be.

You will go through several critical times when you very much need understanding and support from your family and friends. These emotional crises may seem to pull you apart, but they are stages in your inner growth that will help you become better, wiser and more mature}.

You tend to be a loner, but when you do relate to others you often want to do so intensely. The result is that they might feel trapped by your demanding nature. You have a lot to learn about human nature; until you do, you may suffer defeat and emotional anxiety. Try to examine situations intellectually and judge them fairly.

Emotional responsibility tends to be a burden. You want to enjoy the pleasures of love without having any limitations imposed on you.

You are an extremist in your relationships, and you need to learn the art of tender loving care.

Learn to compromise when it will help you reach your goals. Recommended fields include rehabilitation and physical therapy, welfare work, social security. As you assist people, you will realize how useful you can be when motivated by a concern for others.}

About 1/2 true...
Lots of Cancer Scorpio Asc. so I have a bit of balance for a lot of this..

My Devouring Mother

Thank you Eleanor for allowing me to join this tribe. This is a very long post that might be boring to read for some people; but it feels nice to unleash these feelings after all these years of keeping them concealed.

I feel an aching need, almost compelled, to share my experiences with my mother and family. Since developing my interest in astrology, I have been fascinated by the Moon/Pluto aspect and the meaning of the Moon in one's life. I have no aspect between the Moon and Pluto; but I do have a Scorpio Moon. The Moon is in the first House in my chart, suggesting that I have a nurturing soul, something that I can completely relate to. One thing what interested me after researching online about the Moon in Scorpio was that a Scorpio Moon quite naturally has a Pluto Moon (or Hades Moon as one website called it). When reading the detailed and frightening descriptions of the relationship a Pluto Moon has with their Mother, I almost cried. Not out of sadness, but out of something being so accurate that it jolted me.

My relationship with my mother has been a love/hate relationship. She also has a Moon/Pluto aspect (I can't remember which one, I’ll have to ask her her birth time again) and not only is she the typical negative Pluto Moon archetypal mother, she is also the positive Pluto Moon mother. I remember reading somewhere that the Moon/Pluto aspect in one's chart represents our dread of being mothered, a fear of being devoured by our mother. I have no idea about everybody else, but this is something I can completely concur with.

I was the youngest of her children, the others (two brothers and one sister) were all at least ten years older than me. From a very early age I felt different to my brothers and sister, almost alien. I knew that they were my siblings, but I didn't feel any bonding with them. My two brothers especially always called me spoilt, and this didn't help me growing up or make me feel any better. I felt distanced from them, even from my own father who was always too quiet. My mother, on the other hand, took me with her everywhere. She never let me go. At first I loved this, but as I entered my teenage years all this began to change.

When I turned 13 years old, my mother told me something that I'm still reeling from today with shock. She told me that my two brothers and sister were only half my brother and sister. Basically, they had their own father whilst my father was their step dad. I took this very hard because I realised that it was because of the truth within this revelation that I understood why I felt different from my siblings. I immediately realised why my two brothers always called me spoilt. This alienated me even further from my family. It seems as if my two brothers took their frustration on me for my mother splitting up with their father. You see, their father abused my mother for 12 years and my two brothers took it out on me.

I have just completed a book called The Hades Moon by Judy Hall. I highly recommend that everybody reads this book. Judy Hall explained that the Pluto Moon child (or Hades Moon child as she calls it) will feel the aggression of all the family's dark secrets as though the child himself were responsible, which is exactly what my two brothers did to me. They even saw their own father beat up my mother, yet took sadistic pleasure out of calling me spoilt because I got quiet love from my father whilst their father lived 300 miles away in Northern England. Even today I have hard feelings towards my brothers. They should have never called me spoilt. Instead, they should have confronted my mother if they thought I was getting too much attention. I do feel sympathy for them because the sudden change from having a father and then having a stepfather, and a new brother with the stepfather, must have been hard on them. However, they were old enough to understand the situation as they were teenagers when I was born. It is because of this situation that I find it incredibly hard to trust people. If my own two brothers could treat me the way in which they did then other loved ones and friends will do the same. Indeed, my friends did exactly that when I was raped by a man when I was 15 years old inside some public toilets. The man saw my school logo on my school jumper and stole a book from my school bag, saw my name and went to my school to announce that he had consensual sex with a Darrell Pryce Boag. My friends didn't believe me when I told them I was raped, instead they believed this paedophile who thought I was actually 12 years old. When my mother found out she comforted me and loved me, even though I was vile to live with at the time with suicidal depression.

That was when I really fell in love with her and thought she was the best mum in the world. The difficult first 2 years of my teenage life where she tried to constrain me was over as she knew she could take care of me due to my problems. My brothers moved away and my depression healed. My feelings towards my mother began to change as I gradually got better. When I would leave the house she would always ask me where I was going and when am I coming back. When I hung around with girls she would be happy at first, but would become increasingly suspicious and try to control me again. It seemed to me that my mother wanted only herself to be the only woman in my life. I felt strangled by this invisible umbilical cord that was wrapped tightly around my neck, ready to strangle me when I stepped out of line. I was growing up and my mother disliked this fact.

Looking back, I feel as though my mother didn't tell me about the big family secret I just described until I was at a vulnerable age in which the secret would affect me - when I started my teenage life. This knocked my back and I felt mothered by my mother again. She kept me locked in her grasp when I began developing an interest in girls (hey, I’m a guy, after all).

I have now entered my twenties with the doom and gloom of having not lived or enjoyed a teenage life. I started relationships with women and I found it difficult. How could I tell them that I was a virgin because I was abused as a teenager? Well, I simply had to. When I did, the person I was dating become more and more like my mother; nurturing me and asking where I was going, even when I got up to go to the bathroom. Despite I love my mother dearly and will die for her, I spent most of my life trying to escape her clutches to live my own life. Because of this, I don't like it when my girlfriends try to smother me like my mother. I feel like escaping and running until I die. I look into their eyes and I see my mother. I read that a Scorpio Moon man will have difficulty with women if he takes his problems with his possessive mother out on women. This is what I have done. When my girlfriend(s) try to mother I after tell them about my abuse and lack of trust thanks to my back-stabbing friends and brothers, I see them forcing me to conform to their way of life, trying to control me. I then fight back. It is like taking my problems with my mother out on them which makes me feel free. I feel incredibly guilty for doing this. When I say “taking my problems out on women” I don’t mean physically. I tend to notice when men are abusing their wives or girlfriends and I hate them for it. Know way would I want to be like my mother’s first husband.

After posting on the main astrology board on tribe.net about my birth natal chart in my profile, I received plenty of answers that made me understand myself for the very first time. I have what is called a "finger of fate or God" pointing to Chiron in the 7th House of relationships, suggesting that I will receive my most important lessons in relationships. Chiron in my chart opposes my Scorpio Moon in the 1st House. The Scorpio Moon (or any Pluto/Moon aspect) suggests a love or hate relationship with one's mother which the child will then take out on women in relationships, forgetting the fact that his girlfriends aren't his mother.

I understand my life a whole lot better now and understand what I have to do. I must not feel that women are trying to mother me like my mother and then rebel against them, thus killing the relationship. It will be difficult. I crave relationships, yet I am frightened of them. I respect women, despite if my post suggests on the contrary, yet I fear women because I know how easy it is for me to give in and let them mother me when I tell them my problems. But with what I have been told on the main astrology board on tribe.net, I believe that I will eventually settle down and allow a woman to give me sympathy for me telling them why having sexual intercourse with them for the first time will be difficult for me if I don't get to know them first and completely trust them (this is because I sometimes saw the face of person who raped me inside the toilets and not my girlfriend). I know that when this next happens - the mothering, that is - I will not see them as my mother trying to devour me or control me like a child.

That invisible umbilical cord is still around my neck, and it always will be for as long as my mother is waiting for me to come home when I next have trouble. I even believe it will still be there when she dies. The relationship with her now is brilliant. We have this unbreakable psychic connection. If my relationship with my mother can be healed, then I’m sure my relationships with women will also be healed.

I will always be saddened that I didn’t enjoy a teenage life, but I will always love my mother for being there for me during that dark time. The darkness from my past still surrounds me and I believe it always will do, but with that psychic bond I have with my mother, I know there will always be light. The devouring mother can be negative, but she can also be positive. People often call me a mother’s boy, but I let them. You only have one mother, after all. When they’re gone, they’re gone forever

(Sorry for the looooooooong post, but when I start typing I cannot stop. It's good to let it all out.)

Hey everyone,

My son has has pluto moon conjunct by 2 degrees in the 12th. Hard to be the mom of a child with this moon/pluto connection and what I hear of it's bad reputation. Just glad I know what I know of astrology. Maybe it can help.

Anyone else have this conjunction in the 12th? How would that energy be used?

This is a way of interacting with energy that is often associated with Pluto
I have found for myself that plutonian anger can completly take over a room
I have also encountered plenty of vampiric energy ( they have historically magnetized to me and sucked me dry)
But Im not sure how many Plutonian people I know that actaully do this habitually and i wonder about that
Do we attract it more, I also wonder...What do you think?
and heres an are You a vampire quiz that actualy has a lot of the right questions

Pluto Conjunct Moon in 10th

2deg conjunction in Virgo. I'm a compulsive helper, but also I *want* to help (people, friends). My most recent career is as healer/bodyworker. Mr. Service. I also feel like a compulsive perfectionist sometimes. Even though I've never been "in trouble with the law", I have had an overwhelming amount of terror of their long arm. Dad co-opted me young, my relatively distant mother kind of "gave me up" to him, or "fed me to the lions" as she admitted to me once I was an adult. Here at midlife, he and I are now estranged, she and I are close.

Lastly and definitely not least, I'm extemely emotionally expressive and am drawn to healing paths that involve big emotionally cathartic expression, although I tend to be a do-it-yourselfer and have only been rarely assisted by therapists and healer types. I can cry, rage, scream'n'quake with the best of 'em. With my emotional body (Moon) so close to the bottomless pit of held death in the body as well as denied power & terror (Pluto), I don't have much choice about this anymore (since I've come out of complete denial of my emotional backlog, that is).

Any other Pluto-Moon conjunct people? I don't see many in the topic list.

Liz Greene and Pluto Moon

I could expound on the virtues and vices of a Pluto Moon for hours, but no astrologer that I know of has articulted this more than Liz Greene.
And so here is a (long) excerpt from an interview in the Mountain Astrologer from 2002, with the main focus being Pluto Moons.

-------
Nick Campion: What distinction would you draw between Moon-Pluto links and Sun-Pluto? Is Moon-Pluto going to have more to do with the family?

Liz Greene: I think so. Moon-Pluto operates much more through the physical and psychological inheritance. One experiences the Plutonian dimension of life viscerally, either in the body or through the feelings or through relationship. It operates at a gut level, whereas Sun-Pluto tends to translate more into something that affects, or is part of, one’s journey, one’s destiny, one’s purpose and direction.

Nick Campion: In The Horoscope in Manifestation, you said to a member of the audience with Pluto square Moon, "You are carrying complexes related to the family inheritance, the wounded world, the suffering of others, and the sense of obligations which such suffering invokes."[6] That sounds more past-related, as opposed to Sun-Pluto, which is more future-related.

Liz Greene: Yes. Moon-Pluto carries a big wardrobe with it. Family objects are in the attic and basement.

Nick Campion: Skeletons in cupboards?

Liz Greene: It’s skeletons in cupboards. The child born with Moon-Pluto knows that life is very dangerous. Nothing is permanent, everything could be destroyed. There is no real sense of being able to relax and have a nice safe time, because there is an inbuilt understanding or inbuilt instinctive awareness of the cyclical nature of life and the mortality of everything - the inevitability of change. It is that sense of constant danger that could be turned into an extraordinary attribute. It also brings with it a very understandable tendency to depression, because you can’t just go and have a party. You can, but at some point when the clock strikes midnight, you realise that all these people are one day going to get old, and they will get sick, and they are going to die, and what is the point? What are we here for? It brings up all these deep questions and anxieties.

Nick Campion: One point which you developed very strongly in your early writings is the idea that a planetary combination which might have a possible negative consequence also contains the means by which you can do something about it. So, if Moon-Pluto brings a natural tendency to depression, what would be a natural way for somebody to turn that into an upward path, or bring it back to the light, or however you want to put it - and get the smile back on their face?

Liz Greene: I think it may involve not trying so terribly hard to get the smile back. Part of the problem is that we perceive states of depression and mourning as pathological conditions that should be cured. Half of America is medicated in order to avoid depression. Depression or melancholy has a long tradition of being the only state in which you can contact the soul. If you go around with a perpetual smile, that level of life cannot make itself known in a helpful or creative way. The cyclical tendency to depression with Moon-Pluto means, first of all, understanding depression differently - perhaps calling it melancholy instead - to go down into the depths in order to return to the light. All the deeper questions come up. Because everything dies in Pluto’s world, there is a constant grieving for what passes. It is like losing a human being that you are close to, and unless you go through the mourning process, something gets very blocked up and sick. It can actually be helpful to work with depression as something useful and creative, rather than trying to place the smile back on. I think the smile begins to form with a sense of irony. It is a different kind of smile. Also, it can lead to the kind of humour that deals with an appreciation of the absurd.

Nick Campion: I remember once, a long time ago, there was an article in the Astrological Association newsletter, Transit, in which Eve Jackson looked at the horoscopes of the Monty Python team and the prevalence of Pluto.[7] One thinks of images like the sad clown with the tears running down his face.

Liz Greene: Pluto has its own form of smile. It is a bad mistake to think that smiles should always be Steinway smiles, with "have a nice day" pasted onto them. Getting something regenerating and rewarding out of Pluto really means treating the god with respect and not trying to turn him into a bundle of laughs.

Nick Campion: One image that occurred to me while you were talking is the sight one encounters in Mediterranean countries, of dark Catholic churches with old ladies in black, lighting candles, probably for lost members of their family. That’s their form of working with Pluto and loss.

Liz Greene: Yes. It may be appropriate for those cultures. It may not necessarily work in Britain. Also, some cultures are much less frightened of venting grief and the rage that goes with grief, because we quite appropriately should be enraged when things die. Again, if you look at Faust, Goethe had the Sun square a rising Pluto in Scorpio. At one point Mephistopheles says, "What does it matter if this woman dies?" and Faust comes out with an outraged declaration that the death of a single young woman like this is a terrible tragedy. We should experience that reaction in the face of Pluto. It is appropriate because then we clean out the rage and grief. In some cultures, they do this more easily.

Nick Campion: Since the Second World War, our entire astrological experience of Pluto has been coloured by its long sextile with Neptune; a few years ago, Neptune and Pluto moved into Aquarius and Sagittarius, respectively. At that time, at the AA Conference in 1997, you pointed out that Pluto in Sagittarius had also coincided with the beginning of Romanticism in the mid 18th century, and in Relating, you talk about each beginning of a new era bringing forth its heroes. You mentioned Goethe, Swedenborg, and others as the heroes produced by that period.[8] Do you have any idea who the heroes of this day and age might be, or what they might be like?

Liz Greene: Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

Nick Campion: Yes.

Liz Greene: You think I’m joking?

Nick Campion: No. You’ve just put your finger on something there: the amazing fascination for dark mysteries and the occult on television, from Buffy to The X-Files and a host of copies.

Liz Greene: There is a lot of wisdom in Buffy. The Plutonian realm which is portrayed in the series is something mainly evil, which is a very narrow perspective. But it is the way the Plutonian realm interweaves with ordinary life that makes the programme so original. It’s one way of trying to work with this kind of stuff. There is an acceptance of the fact that it is part of life. So we have the absurd juxtaposition of vampires erupting in an American high school gymnasium, yet that is in fact what Pluto does. It isn’t something "other" that you need to dig up - it is everywhere. Like fairy tales once did, these kinds of programmes serve some purpose psychically. That’s why people watch them: They present the inner patterns in a way that is digestible, interesting, and amusing - and you don’t realise that they are providing resolutions at the same time that they are entertaining. They are the modern equivalent of fairy tales. Modern heroes, though - I haven’t seen any lately.
Healers in this tribe?

Hello from the winterscape of pluto~

Shortly after I moved to the gorgeous sierra foothills, I encountered a wonderful lady who wants me to be her apprentice.
She has a little shop of lovely treasures and decor, but her primary vocation is of Healer.
She is in her late 50's, with an infectuous smile, and I trust her implicitly.
One thing that attracts me to her practice is that she does several techniques, and always wants to learn more. She shares my belief that all disciplines, all faiths, are different expressions of the same thing.
She does aura healings, chakric work, crystal healings, and others plus tarot divination (I met her at a reading in her shop during a wine-tasting festival) and spiritual counseling.

And she wants ME to be her apprentice! This is huge for me. Since I've moved, I have been very much drawn to chakric energy work (as well as psychic vampirism with a healing touch) and Reiki. And VOILA my new teacher appears!
I was surprised, as this year has been a tangled mess for me and I've had very weak energy with little spark. It was so very reassuring that she could see my light even through the dank lassitude and weakness I've been feeling.
I start apprenticing in a few weeks, and am trying to cleanse myself for the experience. I will be participating in her meditation and healing classes also (required) and will be her only apprentice. I will be able to sit in on any of her sessions, ask questions, give suggestions, etc.
And so I wonder if any of you are directly active in the healing arts?
All of us plutonians, the awakened ones at least, are natural healers but I'd like to hear of experiences or suggestions.

xoxox

I have been an invisible presence here for several months, and I want to apologize for my absensce and greet you all again.

Since early March, until yesterday officially, I was going through a very ugly custody case with the father of my 2 children. It took all of my emotional energy and physical time to deal with it, and now we have come to an agreement and signed the papers and viola! the next phase of life begins.
My once-in-a-lifetime Pluto square Pluto is creeping up, and I feel the past several months have been like the ocean pulling out the tides with no release. And now, oddly enough the day that Pluto was Officially Announced to be less-than-average sized, the tides are released. I can exhale.
Also, the war between Lebanon and Israel made me think more about our custody battle, and how we were both basically fighting for the same thing, only differently. I was able to open my heart- really open it- to feeling more compassion for the father. This case began as one about his substance use, and ended as one about making more clear boundaries about parenting. And also, I am MOVING TO PARADISE next week. I and the kids are moving to the sierra foothills, near Placerville. We will live on 5 acres, in a two-story 3 bedroom house. My family owns another 300 acres in the area and I will help develop a business with them. This is very big change for city girl!!!

On December 31ist Pluto hits 27 degrees, and my square hits exactly. My natal moon is in the 4th house, conjunct Pluto. The transit will start at the end of the 6th house, and pass over into the 7th.
I do wonder, this being New Years's Eve, if something major will happen on that day. I do have some very primitive superstitions around astrology, I must admit. And though this transit will be a very long one (over a year!) I have witnessed many distinct turning points with other major transits, to the day of the actual contact. Should I stay in that night, not go out with the drunk drivers? Should I lock up my children and keep watch at the front door?
Hell no! Pluto experience is inevitable and deep. If it does not come in one form, it will come in another.
This square was worrying me before- its the time of life that "the shit hits the fan", and hard. But this time has been like training, and I've really gotten to know myself better. I've learned that my basic values of honesty, compassion and graciousness are very strong, and unshakable even under duress.
What comes next? I do not know, but I will be more present with all of you as it unfolds.

I must say you've all been doing a fabulous job holding this tribe together. There are so many insightful, compassionate and funny people here and the heart of this place is strong and beautiful.

with love and light through the dark,

Which means I have trouble transending the baser emotions, such as jealousy, anger, hatred, vengence, ect. and that I have serious issues with my mom (which is true) and the women in my life. I take care of my severely emotionally and mentally handicapped lil sis. She's always telling me crazy shit like "I'm going to eat your heart," or "I wanna burn your face and kick the ashes," stuff like that, to which I always reply "I love you too Rose."

Current Pluto transits

We have spoken of the past quite a bit here.
Pluto is now at 26degrees sagittarius, and I am curious how that is touching upon your present lives and possibly triggering your lunar energy.

I've been feeling like a storm is on the horizon, never quite moving in to release its torrent but keeping me in a constant state of expectancy.
Been focusing so much on my impending Pluto square natal Pluto-Moon that I didn't stop to look at the subtleties.
Pluto is quincunxing (LOVE that word- it is so descriptive of how it feels!)
my first house Venus in Cancer- I do feel like my usual charms (in both a natural and conscious sense) are falling flat, and my appearance has lost its glow. Skin erruptions where there was once lovely skin; my hair isn't growing fast and full like it used to. (Then again, I am mid-thirty-someting.)
Emotionally, my relationship has romance but it never feels fully....absorbed...the past year. An edgy awareness, and many unresolved frustrations. Some heavy incidents with boyfriend (he ended up in mental hospital for a week). This transit is residual and on it's way out---but now I understand some dynamics of the past year.

Pluto is also semi-sextiling (which feels to me like a mini-quincunx) my Jupiter in Scorpio fifth house; both at 26degrees. Okay. I have a huge libido, lots of sexual energy. And creative passion. Both of these have been hugely frustrated. And obsessional at the same time. Think about sex all of the time, and begin to resent that I think about it all the time because I'm not getting it all the time. And then not able to re-direct this creatively because that feels thwarted as well. And time with my children has less sense of flow and fun than I'd like for them to experience.

Just a big state of frustrations. Feels like PMS every day!

Now I'm looking forward to my Pluto square (and then trine mercury, and Yod with Sun and Saturn) to give me a release point for this angst-ridden and negative-minded state.

Ok. I can't even rant properly right now.
How are YOUR lives in relation to transitting Pluto?

My dark moon

Moon in Aries in 8th house quincunx Pluto in Scorpio. The moon is the most aspected "planet" on my chart, and majority of the aspects it makes are mostly negative. The placement might sound difficult, but I also like the certain edge it brings me. My emotional world is mostly hidden from others, and most people have no idea about it. I guess it's common for quite many people who have a strong and intense moon placement on their charts, you really feel they wouldn't understand the feelings you have inside, and sometimes feel that it is better to keep them to yourself. I deal with my rather dark emotional world through writing and art, and I've also noticed it to be a great source of inspiration, so I guess my moon position isn't completely evil. ;-)

Just decided to give a little introduction to my moon as I'm new here, and perhaps hear from you how you deal with your emotions and to find out if there are more people who write songs/poetry/paint/etc. here.

pluto trine moon

I've been lurking here for awhile and now I suppose it's time I introduce myself.
My moon in Cancer in the 8th house is trine pluto in scorpio in the 12th. (both planets are in their naitive sign too)
Both of these are trine venus and mars (conjunct in pisces in the 4th house.)
Pluto is also conjunct my scorpio AC.
Both my pluto and moon are the only planets above the horizon.

(as for other aspects, my moon is opposed by my sun (in the 3rd house) and neptune, and pluto is trine neptune (and has no hard planetary aspects)

Needless to say my pluto/moon is probably the most central part of who I am.
I experience and take in emotions and all it's depths so deeply that it often hurts. I take on the pain of others as if it were my own. I'm super sensitive and aware. I'm a musician. I write poetry and spend my time thinking about profound deep topics. I'm the one my friends always go to when they need some insight and a shoulder to cry on. My intuition is very keen but in the past I just dismissed it only to find out later that my gut instinct had a lot of truth in it. (usually when it's too late)
I have trouble falling asleep because I have a very active mind and like to explore profound thoughts at night.
II have very vivid symbolic dreams that could have come right from a children's fairytale book.

My mom and I bicker a lot and our relationship is tense (maybe this is more of a Mars in the 4th house issue), I've always longed for a better relationship with my mom but that hasn't really been that way.

Happiness is Forgetting

Greetings....new to the tribe.

(Thank you, Precious)

After finding out I had Moon square Pluto, and reading about the aspect, a lot of things in my past started to make more sense. I've always been able to "block out" painful experiences to the point where I could happily function despite the occurences. I used to think that was an unhealthy way of coping, but this article makes me wonder.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happiness is Forgetting
~ Moon-Pluto Wisdom ~
"Memories are meant to fade, Lenny. They're designed that way for a reason." - Angela Basset (Moon conjunct Pluto)
For Kierkegaard (Moon in Cancer) living in memories was the perfect life, because memories nourish us more than any reality. According to Kierkegaard in memories we find safety we can't find in real life. But for many of us it is just the opposite: the memories are the hardest thing in our lives... I remember a TV-program in which a man asked another whether he had any negative childhood memories. The man looked baffled: Are there any other kind? He must have had a Moon-Pluto configuration lurking somewhere.
"The capacity to forget is a gift of grace...", wrote Dietrich Bonhoeffer (Moon conjunct Pluto). Instead of finding their happiness in memories, some Moon-Plutonians can stand almost anything in their lives except their memories; shutting out all their memories is the only way for them to live without constant pain. Most of them learn at some stage of their lives that they need an ability to forget. And that forgetting isn't a bad thing in itself. Laurens van der Post (Moon conjunct Pluto in dwads) wrote how he learned in Africa from the natural peoples that there really is a positive aspect to 'forgetting'. For most Moon-Plutonians there truly is.
BLOCKING THE PAST OUT ?
"In the memory of oppression, oppression perpetuates itself. The scar does the work of the wound. That is the real tragedy: that injustice retains the power to distort long after it has ceased to be real. It is a posthumous victory for the oppressors ..." - Leon Wieseltier, Scar Tissue.
Many strong Moon-Plutonians have lived through such horrible experiences that their only way to keep their sanity is to find a way of escape, at least emotionally and mentally, if not physically. Nature comes sometimes to their help: Those who have lived through tremendous suffering in their childhood may have a spontaneous loss of many of their childhood memories, some Moon-Plutonians lose all their memories - and find it to be one of their greatest blessings.
Irene with her Moon conjunct Pluto on IC had a very unstable home environment: an over-possessive and devouring mother and frequent changes of residence. As a small child Irene felt so insecure that she used to gather all her personal things under her mattress apparently hoping that this way she would still see them in the morning. All her sufferings left Irene without any memories of her childhood, she doesn't even have any dreams about her family. In her first memories Irene is already over ten years old - and even those memories are all about things happening somewhere else, not in her home. Everything about her home and family is just a big black blur.
Yet Irene is sure that in her case it is not a question of an amnesia in the ordinary sense. She believes that in her mind there isn't any memory traces at all, and that there never were. All the horrors of her childhood drove her so much "out of her consciousness" that most of the time she wasn't present at all. Thus there couldn't be any memories. In addition to her Moon-Pluto Irene has a very strong and afflicted Neptune, which may well reflect her experience of being able to escape hardships by distancing herself so totally out of the situation that in her mind she was somewhere else. She was living deep within, in inner worlds, yet she was not autistic. No one on her surroundings saw her mind travels, others saw her as quite normal.
Irene may well be right in claiming that there aren't any memory traces in her mind. Some scientific researchers have come to a conclusion that in some severe long-standing trauma cases some part of the brain (hippocampus, I think) may have been so completely shut down by the stress that it had no capacity to form a memory during the event, thus it will always be impossible to "dredge up a conscious memory of the event". If no memory was formed, no memory can be recovered. It is quite likely that many such cases, just like Irene, have strong Pluto and Neptune configurations, probably influencing the Moon, the IV house and/or the IC. Mercury is also often involved.
It is often said that Pluto on the Moon 'kills' the feelings, but perhaps Pluto doesn't kill your feelings, it just kills those feelings that are not yours at all. If your personal feelings have got too mixed up with collective feelings, Pluto may kill the feelings until you somehow manage to extricate yourself from the collective emotional energies that prevent you from experiencing your own feelings. Betty Lundsted writes about Moon-Pluto conjunction saying that "with a littler effort, anyone can begin to recall early childhood memories". Perhaps most people could, but why should everyone. Some childhoods are best forgotten - and there may be childhoods like Irene's without any true memories to recall...
LIVING IN FUTURE
"A retentive memory is a good thing, but the ability to forget is the true token of greatness."- Elbert Hubbard (Moon trine Pluto)
The best memories are those we have forgotten, wrote Alfred Capus (Moon sextile Pluto). Memories are a way of re-living something. For a Moon-Plutonian it can mean reliving all those horrors many times over, thus meeting constantly people that once tortured you and made you suffer excruciatingly. Because of a vulnerability created when you had yet no power to resist, all those past figures may still have the power to torture you or to bring you down. Life in some horror families may have been so oppressing that having no memories is what you need to live on. Memory loss is then nature's way to heal and to protect someone living in overwhelming conditions.
Yet, although you can shut memories out - or even prevent them from forming to begin with - you can't shut all the pain out, it has to be dealt with. Moon-Plutonians often act as psychic sponges, they feel everything that is going around them. They even may assume symptoms of other people. And it often seems to be their unavoidable fate that whenever there is a crisis situation somewhere, Moon-Plutonians will also be there. Perhaps it is because after having worked through their own pain, they have developed special talents for understanding and solving crisis situations in others' lives.
There are many ways of dealing with the pain, diving deep into memories isn't the best way for everyone. Moon-Plutonians may have no memories. And even if they have, those memories might just open their psyches to the influence of a destructive family daimon. And thus make them once again vulnerable to all those past horrors. Instead, they need to learn how to rise above it all, which may be quite difficult because their family may feel threatened and thus unwilling to loosen the grip of their very own burden bearer.
Some Moon-Plutonians go to therapy - or even become therapists themselves. Others learn to handle their pain through a religious or spiritual vocation. Some learn to turn their past horrors and sufferings to creative power working through their pain in their creative work. At this stage psychic practices - like reliving their past incarnations - may prove very dangerous and also unreliable. The information allegedly coming from the Moon-Plutonian's past, might come from other sources, even from the unconscious of their torturers.
A long-standing trauma often creates strong unconscious psychic links in the victim - which will die in time if you let them be. But not if you open up doors voluntarily. There is always a reason why nature closes doors, and it's seldom wise to go against nature. And with Moon-Pluto it may not be necessary either: Moon-Plutonians have such deep insights that they would probably learn very little from reliving the past. They have lived the pain through thousand times already, getting clear memory pictures would just activate that pain.
"What's gone and what's past help, should be past grief." -William Shakespeare
Are we no longer *Pluto* - Moon People?
As you all now know the IAU has kicked out Pluto from Planet Club, calling it a "Dwarf Planet". WTF? is my first thought. Now my thoughts are does that mean having a Moon/Pluto aspect means squat? A lot of things in my chart are connected to it, I'm wondering if I shouldn't just redraw my chart and not include it there. Seeing that though reveals that most of my planets would be disconnected because if they aren't using Pluto I'm not using Uranus or Neptune either.
Anybody got any thoughts?
PS I can goodbye to Mars square Pluto too.
Dark and kinky humor
A pluto moon tribe without a dark humor thread, now whats up with that? Let,s see if i can come up with something to start with.
How,s about perverting movie titles? Im in a kink mood today and cant think of any murder jokes. Did the following on another tribe. The topic was suggested titles for gay porn westerns. No offence to the gay people. Cloose your eye,s now.
The long bumpy road
Risky in the bar ( whiskey in the jar)
Duelling banjos
Ghostriders in the dye
Hell,s hole
Blazing buttholes
Loaded guns
Straight from the bottom
Little big horn ( with indians taking more then custers scalp)
Here is some non cowboy, faggerized movie titles.
Lord of the ring, the hobbit welcome home party. Did anyone realize Sam was the only one getting any kids out of it?
Top gun
Prison steak
Gold finger... I take it dry, not sturbed. Two olives.
Texas Butthole massacre
Beavis and butthead do america.. no need to change title
Fart prince, draculas secret
The unholy mountain
A beautifull behind
End of gays
Ethernal butthole of the spotted hind.
Alone in the park
The sum of all bears
From butt to lawn
The chronicles of ``R´´ dick
Butt sematary
A butt to far
The day after my arrow
Butt red with stephen king
The beyond - the behind
``fangs´´ of new york
haha That,s funny. Next time im gonna pull a few about fat peple and crippeled.
This is a Pluto moon song
Pluto sings this to it's 3 moons 24 hours a-day new reports,,,,,,
Whenever I'm from time to time depressed
As a trauma wells and swells within my breast.
I find some pride deep inside of me.
As I fondly walk the lane of memory.
I see Bonaparte, a mean one if ever I've seen one,
And Nero fiddlin' thru that lovely blaze;
Antoinette, dainty queen, with her quaint guillotine.
Ha, ha, ha, ha
Those were the good old days!
I see Indians draggin'
An empty covered wagon
When scalping the settlers was the latest craze,
And that glorious morn,
Jack the Ripper was born,
Ha, ha, ha, ha
Those were the good old days!
I'd sit on my rocking chair
So peacefully rocking there,
Counting my blessings by the score.
The rack was in fashion,
The plagues were my passion,
Each day held a new joy in store
I see cannibals munchin' a missionary luncheon
The years may have flown
But the memory stays
Like the hopes that were dashed
When the stock market crashed
Ha, ha, ha, ha,
Those were the good old days!
I'd walk a million miles or more
For some of the gore
Of those good old days!
I was so contented
When prisons were invented
And the ones with gallows
Set my heart ablaze I was burning with pride
The day Bonnie met Clyde
Ha, ha, ha,
Those were the good old days
I'd doze by the fireside
Dreaming of Cyanide,
Never a worry or a care;
And how can one measure,
The infinite pleasure,
Of dreaming of the electric chair.
And in the aisles I'd lay 'em
With arson and with mayhem;
It's a hammy routine but it always plays,
And my fav'rite encore,
Was the hundred year war,
Ha, ha, ha, ha,
Those were the good old days!
I'd gladly sail the seven seas,
For just one reprise
Of those good old days!
7th house Pluto/Moon
Hi there, i'm new here.
I have been a student of astrology for quite some time, and have noticed how prevalent a theme pluto has been in my life. I have an Aries moon in the 12th conjunct my Aries Asc., both in opposition to my Pluto/north node conjunction in the 7th. Scorpio rules my 8th house where Neptune sits square my Virgo sun in the 5th. Venus, my 7th house ruler, is in Leo in the 4th. My 12th house moon trines both Neptune and Venus. Needless to say, intense emotional relationships and intense emotional losses have been my hallmark. All of my relationships have had a somewhat Plutonian flair in that they have all seemed fated and have marked tremendous transitional/transformative points in my life. Most of these relationships have had at their core issues with trust, power, and betrayal. A few have even started as the result of betrayal. I have been both the betrayed and the betrayer - triangles seem inevitable. However, none have ever lacked in extreme intimacy and emotional magnetism. Has anyone with similar hard Pluto/Moon/7th house aspects experienced similar patterns in their life?? Any opinions on how else a 7th house Pluto in opposition to a 12th/1st house Moon might operate?? How they can be overcome and integrated?? Thanks!
